I have been searching for my son for 6 years after we had a falling out and he moved away with his family. I found his current address on this sight and was able to meet my grandchildren this week. This company is a Big Joke! Now they have reprinted my information on their website with my deceased parents! That Edward guy is not Related to me or my parents! Is he a real person or Tonya Bryant's friend! And your company still has the criminal Tonya Monique Byrant who's a suspect in my identity theft case as my family member! I'll be so happy when there's a class action lawsuit against this company so i can sue them!
Joined service. Checked background on 20 persons. 6 reports were erroneous. One man was listed as black- he is white. 2 reports had middle name of persons listed as last names. One known felon that served a prison sentence for drug trafficking had no more than a traffic violation and a misdemeanor pot possession listed. If they are going to report a persons criminal background, the information NEEDS to be correct.
Please don't waste your money on this site—the same information for free. I needed to see divorce documents and found nothing; my fiance has been divorce since 13, and we needed the proof for our closing. We rent to another site and retrieve it. This site is a waste of time. I was so annoyed
The reports do not include any information - It claims that all "public" information should be included... I ran one on myself and didn't see things that I know, for a fact, are public info. More information is available if you simply do a google search than pay for this service - Do NOT waste a dime on this..
Followed instructions to opt-out and remove my information from the site for 2 states on 9/23/2021.

BIG LIE! It's been over a month and my info is still on the site
Immediately I sent a follow up email to Monica and new opt out request because they claimed the request was complete. 7 days later I received another Ticket ID# (*******)
I never heard from Monica again. I contacted support several times and each time the same response.
"Nothing we can do" "You have to continue to send emails" Most reps were rude and unprofessional. I have also sent emails requesting a manager in the subject line (as instructed) still no response. The entire process is a joke. I think the end game is to keep your info on the site. They have no intention of completing your request. I refuse to waste any more time sending email requests. I am submitting a complaint to the BBB. No one should have to go through this nonsense to remove inaccurate info.
All you will get in this search/review is name, addresses, and those possibly related to the subject - - nothing else. If you want more, you will have to pay extra on a what you need basis. Secondly, to subscribe you must agree to auto-6 month renewal via a registered credit card. Yes, you can opt out of the plan prior to the auto-renewal by a phone call to Persopo. Thirdly, as in my situation, my credit card company changed my card number during the renewal week and Persopo denied my renewal. Persopo stated to me that I had to re-register and that all history of searched names in my account were deleted - - no more records of my use of the site. Not a customer friendly organization.
If I can give a ZERO rating I would. The reports have only the name, age, address and phone number. The information that you already know about a person. It does not have criminal or marriage/divorce information which is important.
All I needed was to find my Divorce record. Persopo gave me the date and even the Record number to reference when filing. Can't beat that for 20 bucks, saved me a 400 dollar plane ride to Georgia! Persopo did alright by me-
Cannot search anything out of this paid service, besides of the address and age, which other site provides for free. Marriage and divorce record was a joke (I had searched with people I knew was married and no record come out at all)
I have requested multiple times that my information should be removed. I spoke with Crystal and explained the urgency of my request. She keeps repeating herself and is useless. I requested to speak with a manger/ supervisor she claims they don't have any. Avoid their services.
I called to cancel my membership. The lady was so rude and gave me a confirmation number and never cancelled it then she hang up the phone when I asked her to refund the 6 months instead of 3.
Today I called again another agent another super rude and giving me moral lesson on how I should speak to me and telling me I did not get the 3 month refund because I did not accept them lol! When the lady hang up the phone last time. Insane! Total scam
You offer something for free to people responding to your call to action in seeking a background report with no intention of honoring the offer. Your web site clearly states people will get a free background report on any person of their choosing. Well I did what was required so naturally I expected to see a background report which I didn't. No mention was made beforehand about this costing me any money yet you want my credit card number. What exactly does the word "free" mean in your ad offering "free" background reports?
I doubt anyone there will read this review or if so, take it seriously but I wanted to bring to your attention the fact that your ad is misleading and a great disappointment and about all I can expect to get for free is the endless email ads you'll likely be sending to me since you managed to get my email address Thank you for giving me nothing for"free"

Everyone on here is a baby. Whining about what is and isn't shown for what? This site is $20 for unlimited searches. If you are complaining about $20 you have deeper issues in your life than coming onto this site and crying about your stupidity. I know how to read, and I saw on their site even before paying the fee the company tells you flat out what may or may not appear. If you feel you were "taken" by someone who told you to your face what wouldn't be there, you are beyond moronic. Please do the world a favor and be "taken" for real, somewhere far far away from civilization. I loved the service I received. The woman on the phone was very patient with locating my account and explained full out the limitations of their service even though I already knew it beforehand. But hey, that's just me being a reasonable and competent human being. I guess the other people who can't grow up scream the loudest.
Upon looking up my own name i saw that they have under my personal info that my past history includes child molestation, never in my life have i ever even thought of doing some sick $#*! like that, these people at persopo belong in jailand i plan on filing a lawsuit for numerous unlawful violations
I went and did a search. Not only did nothing come up, stuff that came up in a simple Google search didn't come up. Cost was $19.99 for one month. That was February. Then all of the sudden in April, boom, they hit my account for an additional charge, no warning, no authority. I call to cancel, get my $20.00 back. She said I don't get a refund because "they emailed terms and conditions" and that I allegedly agreed to a "monthly charge". I said why was it more thank 30 days after initial charge, more like 45. I also asked for my monthly billing statement as required BY LAW. She said, we don't do billing statements. I then asked for a supervisor CSR said "supervisors don't take calls". She was not helpful, raised her voice, talked over me and hung up on me. I informed her that her company violated the FCBA, but she didn't care. Never before treated like this.
I did the 5 day trial. Found useless, no correct answers. I called on day 5 to cancel only to get a recording that I need to call back on day 6 Monday -Friday, yet it clearly states you can call on Saturday 8-3? I do not want another penny taken out of my checking account for useless and incorrect info! Sent an email but very upset that the recording says to call M-F,! Shelly A. Kibby
I searched for my marriage license on Persopo. The site came back with one for my maiden name and my home address at the time, but then showed a marriage license for someone who is not me.The person definitely never lived at my address and the marriage was 25 years before I was even born.
I emailed Customer Support and never got a response.
I tried repeatedly to call and talk to someone on the phone about this. I did get what I thought was a live person, but he said he could no hear me. I called back several other times, and always got the same person, saying the same thing. I believe it was a recording! I could never get anyone online, regardless of which of their options I selected. Persopo Customer Support appears to be non-existent!
Tonight I tried to call again, selected option 3 (to cancel my account) and was about to hang up after a LONG silence when someone came onto the line. She told me I need to wait 72 hours before checking the account to get the information I need. Well, it's been 3 days, and the report is still the same, and still inaccurate. Customer Support told me they are giving me 50% back. I strongly suspect this won't happen. But the fact that Persopo is keeping the other 50% says to me that the company is a scam company. I am very disappointed and will try to get my marriage certificate another way.
I strongly recommend everyone avoid this company.
I signed up for a one-month subscription. I have a screen shot that illustrates that I chose this option (1 month at $19.93). Huh! Low and behold, I was charged for the next month too. I called to cancel, and the option to cancel the membership (option 3 on the phone) hung up. Then I tried the option to discuss memberships (option 2 on the phone). That hung up too. Odd, because the website says they are passionate about customer service. Then I did the only thing left to me, I chose technical support. I spoke to a person who said, no you have to cancel your membership or it will continue to bill you. I countered that I signed up for one month only. She said I should have read the fine print. I was not pleased with her answer; it just doesn't make sense. I protested. She advised me that perhaps I will read fine print more closely in the future. Finally, I requested a receipt, as this only showed on my business credit card and I needed to submit backup documents. She said no, I didn't need that, the entry on my credit card should prove that I purchased it. I'll try to convince the accounting department of this. In the end, I told her that I now understand that Persopo needs every $20 it can get its hands on, no matter how it does it, but that I would opt for a review. So here I am. Don't buy from this chintzy company. They could care less about me or you.
The won't let you remove your information from their website. I have tried multiple times through their official channels and they will not remove my information. They should be shut down.
