I certify that this review is based on my own experience, that I am in no way affiliated with this business, and have not been offered any incentive or payment to write this review. I agree to Sitejabber's Terms of Service, including to not write false reviews – which is, in many cases, against the law.
1. I think they steal money without your knowledge 2. Support is tortosie-ly slow or perhaps just doesnt ever reply back Write to them where did my money go - no answer. Some dats later, they will say investing and you never get your money back. 3. cheater finance team of PPH
I have a positive experience so far. I am using the site to get some design work on my free time. Up to know I have completed 3 jobs and i am working on a fourth one. For me it is very good that this site does not "bury" newcomers same way competing sites like freelancer.com do where they want to charge money to the freelancer just to have a small possibility for his proposal to be shown. They also charge users 5 euros to take an english test and other similar tests.
Another great feature for me is that you can not see the bidding price of other freelancers but you just see an average bid notification when it is time to submit your bid. Also there is a minimum bid price which is great in order to maintain a balance.
Furthermore the site has the best UI / UX compared to competition. Upwork seems to have a lot of technical difficulties compared to PeoplePerHour.
There are of course some disadvantages to this site. I think that the commission price could be a little lower. Also take in mind that the projects and the user base are not way near competition. You will find significantly less projects here. On the other hand is less chaotic and has fewer scumm users.
I had a payment issue with the "Deposit" vs "Withdrawal" issue with PPH; while it took 3 weeks to resolve it (apparently the HelpDesk got slammed), a Senior Account Advisor named Dimitris reviewed my account and returned the funds where they should go. Furthermore, when I initially pressed the wrong Deposit buttons, a Customer Service rep addressed the issue within a day. I'm not entire pleased with the delay, but since Dimitris fixed my issue, I'm still happy to work with PPH. Note: if you want a fast response and emails + HelpDesk tickets aren't working... send a message to the PPH Facebook page. It gets results.
