I determined this to be the superior product of its type, but then stumbled on a representation made by the sales rep I spoke with. When I emailed my complaint to customer support, I was given immediate and exemplary satisfaction to my concern. In order to cancel you have to call or email, once you do so you are placed in a long wait queue for hours and sometimes days. Once the agent calls you back you are offered other plans and are treated as if you are the problem if you wish to cancel and get a refund if you were already charged. If you successfully dispute the charge with your bank and charges get removed you will see them charge your account again the next day. This is horrible and I hope nobody else gets trapped into this scam funnel.
I was looking for a handyman. I found a business card for one at my outlet store. I looked him up and discovered he had been in prison twice for grand larceny. He had also been in jail for making obscene phone calls, burglary, breaking and entering, assault and battery and more. I had just signed up for the $1 trial period and so glad I did! The service works, the bad thing is that they automatically subscribe you without authorization, you paid $ 4 dollars to find out an address and you get automatic payment for $ 21 dollars! It's a theft.

The billing practices are extremely deceptive. You will get several red notifications stating that they're having some "difficulties" and they are unable to cancel your membership at this moment. They're counting on you to forget to come back later. After I canceled my membership for the third time, I should have had the entire month left before the expiration date because I cancelled the day after they autobilled me. I just wanted to be sure that it didn't slip my mind the following month. When I went back to my account it gave me a prompt that said I had to "reactivate" in order to view the reports that I had saved, which should have still been accessible to me for almost an entire month. I sent the company an email and they told me that somehow you can still access the reports. To just try to click them anyway. I didn't even attempt it because that is extremely shady. To make it appear like you have to reactivate your account in order to get the rest of the month that you've already paid for. Oh that's sneaky. They're counting on you just believing that and reactivating. Not to mention the information in the report was nothing more than you could find on any Google search anyway.

In my opinion, very sneaky the way they suck you into thinking you can get all this info for free. The only reference I found that this is a PAID service is in the very fine print that makes a passing reference to "affordable". After going through a long process, the "final step" was to give my credit card info. No way! Left the site immediately and found what I was looking for on Google - for free!
THe "company" peoplelooker is stealing from the public. I have never even heard of them let alone used any service they claim to offer. After seeing a charge made to my card st 5:34 am I quickly searched to find out who this PL* peoplelooker trial charge came from and its on the web... lots of ppl are complaining and they are right. You cannot find any contact info in these people and the few nums you find aren't valid. Theres no listing for them anywhere. Us or Canada apparently... there no way to contact them to get ur money returned. I thought you should know. I cannot be the only one complaining. Ive been to your site before and I dont think you'd knowingly host a scam artist who rips off strangers. I want my money back now. Do you know how go contact the owners of this "company"?

This is a great app. I can look up people from the past and see where they live or how old someone is or find out that someone is deceased. There's a list of relatives and address history. Love this app!
Recently my PayPal and Bank accounts were hacked and all of my money was stolen.
PayPal refused to do their job because the receiver was a "trusted" or "well known" user.
So I decided to try to use PeopleLooker to find this receiver of my money to try and make contact with them, I only had their email, and a name. I put it into PeopleLooker, and it asked me to pay a fee which I did. After I paid, PeopleLooker didn't find anything on the person I was looking for. I had to pay to find out they found nothing. It feels like my money is being stolen from me a second time.

You should not have to pay them $1.00, or any dollars to find out if PeopleLooker has your information. But let us say you pay them the one dollar. You have to pay them by credit card. Then, if you want to cancel, as I suspect most people do, then you have to call them. So now, not only do they have your credit card number, they have your phone number. Congress should pass laws making these sites illegal.
