The overall reputation of the company reflects significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support. Many reviews highlight frustrations with delayed transactions, ineffective resolution of disputes, and a lack of proactive communication. Customers frequently report feeling unsupported in cases of fraud or issues with received goods. However, some positive sentiments emerge, particularly regarding the perceived reliability of PayPal as a payment method for certain transactions, which customers associate with enhanced buyer protection. Despite this, the overwhelming trend indicates a critical need for improvement in customer service responsiveness and dispute resolution processes.

I have been with PayPal for many years and I always paid my bills on time. In December 2019, my card was stolen and changed it with a new card. Apparently £7 payment has rejected by my bank when Paypal contacted them which I wasn't aware of. Paypal sent me an email about that which I didn't see or didn't receive. 6 days passed apparently until I realized about the problem, I made the payment straight away. Then a couple of months later i have found that my credit score has a bad mark because of this. PayPal gave me a bad credit score immediately for £7 despite of many years i have been with them and never had this issue. Any professional company with their long term existing clients would be more sensitive and caring and would call them or text them directly to inform rather than sending an invisible email (By the way, i cannot still find any email from them). Instead of doing that they gave me a bad credit score and also charged me interests. Because of that, now i am having difficulties on my business purchases. This undeserved bad score has been affecting my business terribly. I closed my account with them now. They weren't helpful at all. They didn't even offer an apology. I feel terribly betrayed and strongly not recommend them.
I used to like PayPal for the ease in shopping and not giving out my CC or bank info everywhere I shop, HOWEVER, beware if you ever want to dispute a transaction. Unlike a regular bank or CC, they can do very little other than contact the seller on your behalf for a refund and if the seller they are supporting and are allowing to be affiliated are a scam they do not seem to take it seriously, they tend to side with the seller and cannot do refunds themselves. I have been trying to get a refund for 2 months and no resolution. Also, once you put your bank info on PayPal good luck removing it, they have a remove bank option that just takes you to a white/blank screen and nothing updates, I have read this is known issue they have not fixed. I am sorry I ever signed on with PayPal now and will be closing my account as soon as possible.
Haven't gotten my money back from them for the item I bought 2 months ago and opened a case 2 months ago, they keep dragging their feet. Any credit card is more helpful in this situation. It's not the first time this happened to me with Paypal, I always have problems with them, they are useless most of the time. The customer service is lame they don't even try to help or resolve anything, they have robotic generic answers. This time I'm closing my account and will never use them again.
I tried to buy a pool pump motor. The seller does not have a valid address so I can't get in touch With them. There was NO shipping info when I purchased the item. I took it to the resolution center and complained. PayPal resolved the issue in 3 days and said the seller PROVED to them that the item was delivered to me. 1st off it wasn't; 2nd, how did the seller prove to PayPal I received the item; 3rd, how did PayPal contact them if I can't, and I'm the buyer. I lost $52.00 to PayPal and the scammer (Samuel F. Norman). PayPal isn't worth the trouble. They won't even talk to me. Paypal is a POS!
It seems that they knowingly allow sellers to use false advertising while selling fake knock-off products, and don't care at all about helping buyers get their money back. As soon as I complained to the seller, their website disappeared from the web. I contacted the seller directly four times and twice through PayPal, and never received a response. After 12 days, still no response and the item has not bee shipped. Nevertheless, PayPal will not honor a dispute I filed. I will never use PayPal again, and I suggest no ones else should either. If you think that using them will help you get satisfaction against a crooked seller, you are wrong.
Its very easy to get scammed on here by other people. They make their emails look exactly like paypal's. I found it extremely difficult to contact PayPal, i could not call them at all. I would not recommend at all.
Recently my son and I ordered off of PayPal two kyaks, looked legit, on paypal, but when ordered the money was taken instantly, then everything that followed appeared to be legit, message to email on shipping and tracking, but item could not be tracked, order can't be found on PayPal but yet email says it's from paypal, ips says it is, no phone number, fake, fake, fake, and of course because of the PLANDEMIC by the New World Order there is absolutely no phone contact with Paypal, so it appears that I have just been ripped off $200 via facebook allowing folks to post false and misleading ads, and paypal allowing folks to use their logos and systems to rip folks off. I have now decided to never use PayPal again and let me state for the record clearly. IF YOU USE PAYPAL BE PREPARED TO BE RIPPED OFF, IF YOU ORDER OFF OF FACEBOOK PREPARED TO BE RIPPED OFF AND THEY WILL DO NOTHING AND I MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT
I made the mistake of ordering online, the only way to pay was through PayPal. I should have known it was a fraud! I did 1 hour later when I hadn't gotten a receipt! I contacted PayPal for an immediate refund! No way to contact PayPal but email. They denied my request. So far I've appealed 3 times, denied every time. I have proof from UPS which I sent in but they don't care! As far as I'm concerned, PayPal is as much of a criminal as the fraudulent company!
I have had a PayPal account for over 5 years. Up until recently I never experienced a problem. Within the last several days I noticed on my account 2 charges that reflected the vendor GrubHub. I have never used Grubhub. One of the charges had been made within 12 hours of me noticing the unauthorized charge I immediately notified PayPal via its website that these GrubHub were unauthorized. I also called PayPal but due to the corona virus the customer call center was closed. Within 5 hours I received a response email from PayPal that stated in part "We have reviewed this transaction(s) and are denying you case(s). This decision was made because this transaction was not unauthorized."
I had linked to my PayPal account a Capital One Credit Card. I notified Capital One of the problem and it immediately credited back my account. This incident proved that it is safer to simply use a credit card and NOT PayPal. PayPal does not protect the user in a case of fraud. If you are going to use PayPal I would advise against linking your checking to Paypal. At least, with a credit card you have some protection. Capital One protected me PayPal failed to.
So i recently just got scammed of $40 buying something online. I dispute it and well what do you even expect from paypal? Nothing.
Place in order on Flight Club. Pay threw Pay Pal. Unfortunately I never received my item. PayPal giving me the run-around never getting through customer service. PayPal through email telling me we cannot find your order. How is that possible until this day I have my receipt. Well they went into my account and pulled out money.SO BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. BELIEVE THE REVIEWS
I haven't had a bad experience with Paypal so far, and I've been with them for about 2 years. I sometimes wonder about transaction fees, but I guess that can't be helped with any of these type of services. At least I'm happy to say customer service is always very good.
Some Wish stole $1011 from my PayPal, what is funny I opened dispute with PayPal and they declined it, they said payment was autarised, but in payment not even my name fake name, fake address, fake cellphone, how did this happened and why so large company like PayPal doesnt want help me...
Absolutely horrible! I use PayPal to Credit card sales at my business and the amount is nothing to sneeze at, and I get emails stating different reasons why they can not do a PPP for me? I have schedule C, I have ID, I have absolutely everything needed to approve a small PPP, I have had 2 PayPal working capital loans and they were paid and I can't get a government backed PPP to help my business. I realize they are using loanbuilder to do these loans but Paypal needs to get involved and see what a nightmare they are creating for businesses that use PayPal merchant services, cause if we aren't in business then your going to lose money! And if I can't get any help I will be happy to take my business elsewhere! All my documents are in order no reason I should not be approved! Period
Been using their services since 2012 - everything has always been super smooth and hassle-free. Would love to use Paypal for the rest of my life.
I've been using PayPal for years and it had helped me to raise money online and transfer money to my family in Europe i love it
Do not use PayPal. If the seller tries to rip you off, all paypal does is act as an intermediary with emails with the seller. If you are afraid to give an online seller your credit card information, then don't buy from them. Only crooked sellers use PayPal because PayPal will shield them.
Misrepresented in 3 occasions to properly defend an illegal chargeback and did not defend my position nor ask for further proof
Buyer asked me to use paypal, god damnn that day! I agreed and we made a deal
Now for a 30+ days i am trying to het my money! 30+ days Karl, 30+ days!
Transferwise - do it in 20 minutes!
I just lost my money with you! While coronavirus! Thanks you paypal! Thank you!
Nearest time i will use to warn all people not to use your service...
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
