The overall reputation of the company reflects significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support. Many reviews highlight frustrations with delayed transactions, ineffective resolution of disputes, and a lack of proactive communication. Customers frequently report feeling unsupported in cases of fraud or issues with received goods. However, some positive sentiments emerge, particularly regarding the perceived reliability of PayPal as a payment method for certain transactions, which customers associate with enhanced buyer protection. Despite this, the overwhelming trend indicates a critical need for improvement in customer service responsiveness and dispute resolution processes.

Apparently, PayPal's fraud mechanism has again arbitrarily determined that one of my employees is not the actual owner of their PayPal account but instead a hacker and locked him out until proper documents can be sent in for verification. As the client account executes large payment transactions via PayPal, the lockout hinders their account representative who is now no longer able to function and the client's business is impeded. As this is the second time PayPal has disrupted our business operations, we will be migrating clients with significant monetary transaction history off of PayPal and unto more conventional financial platforms. PayPal was once great, but increasingly they suffer from the same fraud paranoia that infects some banking institutions.
PayPal should be ashamed of themselves for dropping content creators who don't agree with their political views. I hope they understand that Go Woke, Go Broke is a real thing. Why shoot yourself in the foot?
I am so burnt out on paypal. EVERYTIME I try to withdraw or transfer money from them they'd hold it and "review" EVERYTIME. If you're smart use cash app. They don't do this $#*!. I'd give it 0 stars I could.
1) bought online from target.com with total $144
2) during checking out, applied $20 Paypal credit from my account; from screen I was told this was successful
3) final result: $144 applied from my credit card, but the $20 credit disappeared from my account.
4) contacted Paypal customer service, with proof of the $20 credit, their review result is:
target.com did not overcharge me. So case closed.
5) went back to paypal customer service, saying I never said Target.com overcharged me. The issue was that paypal took my $20 credit but did not apply to that transaction, and the $20 has gone forever.
6) no responses from Paypal thereafter.
I purchase some scam combo tool kit deal. I should have known better but figured it was worth a try. Paid with PayPal and the product never showed. I disputed it and the seller furnished a tracking number so PayPal denied the claim. It is obviously a scam supported by PayPal, that makes PayPal a scam.
PayPal is the greatest out there. Been using PayPal for personal and business use for many years and I can recommend them to anyone looking for good services!
I have a small business that I started, especially during COVID, and one of my customers (who obviously trusts my business) paid for apparel using paypal on my website. Paypal LITERALLY locked my paypal account (even after I showed them proof that my business is legit) and stated the reasoning for "locking" it is due to risky business. Are you kidding me? I have contacted them multiple times and they continued to tell me the same thing with no further explanations because you can't even get in touch with the manager or President. Then they stated my account will be locked for 180 days. That it roughly 6 months. I can't transfer the customer's payment to the corresponding bank account (even after providing sufficient proof of the apparel and receipt, etc) because the account is locked. So basically the client is getting free apparel and my business has to wait 6 months to even retrieve the funds. This has been a NIGHTMARE. Especially trying to grow my business, during a pandemic. Especially, when the item took A LOT of funds to make from scratch (jacket embroidery, stitching fabric, etc) and ship. I had to remove PayPal as an option for payment on my website.
I advise other companies to do the same.
DO NOT USE PAYPAL. They are horrendous and extremely outdated. The funds sitting on the PayPal account that I can't even transfer over is roughly $300.00+. This is ridiculous and so unfortunate, especially during this pandemic.
I know Sampson Julius claiming to be with paypal is strickly a scam. I would suggest calling *******236 and ask Sam if he is still scamming. I called twice and he blocked my number. Enough calls, maybe he will stop scamming.
I used to live in the UK and used Paypal there. I then moved and decided years later to clear the few pounds I had left on that account. However, my former UK phone number was useless to confirm my identity and Paypal did not offer another way of logging into my account: I could not make the transfer myself. Then started the nightmare. I called the UK Paypal customer service and a person kindly (always) verified my ID, told me the amount i had on my account (14,80 pounds!) but also said that she couldn't transfer it to my french Paypal account and that I had to contact Paypal France to ask them to do it for me. Which I did. After replying to the useless chatbots on Paypal.fr I eventually reached a human person (or so she seemed, always very kind) who told me what to do: upload an ID and a letter with info for both accounts. Understandable. I did just that. I got a reply saying someone would contact me in 5 days or less. What really happened then? Nothing (that's actually when the dystopian nightmare really started). I re-contacted Paypal over and over to chat with a bot, and when I would finally reach a human, they apparently had no access to my previous messages exchanged with Paypal and I would have to ask over again what I wanted. Interestingly, every time, I was given a NEW answer to my transfer question... such as "There is nothing we can do" or (you've guessed it) "There is nothing we can do, *reach Paypal UK* and ask them to make the transfer for you". And here I am. I've left this money behind for years because I knew from experience it would be difficult to get back. I didn't think it would be THAT difficult. I have been in contact with Paypal about this since December 22nd and this is January 3rd. It's only under 15 pounds, but I just can't let go. It's like a biological monster in my stomache wants to EAT the gigantic useless robot that our consumer society is becoming. I feel like watching Terry Gilliam's 'Brazil' again. He can't possibly have foreseen this level of absurdity.
Paypal converts my payment to Canadian merchants in Canadian $ to another currency and charges me with a very high exchange rate. Moreover, their call center representatives mentioned maybe it's requested by merchants or by the credit cards company. It's not. It's Paypal wants to make more money through these transactions. Double check before you make a purchase through Paypal. I am closing my Paypal account.
The dispute outcome depends on the rep overseeing the claim, some reps don't care. It's best to get them on the phone. It's hard to trick the automated system into transferring your call to an actual agent. When reps dismiss my claim, I try again. You have to be patient, and polite but eventually they do get you a refund if they understand the situation. I've had bad customer service where agent just hang up, or redirected me to a dead end etc. I wouldn't use them for my business, or anything crucial, I don't use their other services because of unreliability.
Without pre warning me that they decided to all of a sudden permanently limit my account, I still had access to the site and app. I generated a barcode through the app to give to the cashier at dollar general. I gave the cashier $150 to put on my account, she scanned the barcode, put the money in the register and handed me a receipt. After 4 hours went by an zero money on my account, I started calling. At this time they tell me that they limited my account and don't see any transactions. From what I read they can do whatever they want with your money and can hold it from you for at least 180 days. I was trying to buy coveralls for winter at work and now I may not see my money until summer if at all! Stay away from PayPal, you will regret it at some point!
PayPal has to be the $#*!tiest platform to use getting money from people. Going to place a hold on my account for 30 days because I haven't used my account in awhile. Right before Christmas! After I get my money in 3 weeks I'll be deleting my account. So a big PayPal!
Absent customer support, does not exist. AND now they accept chargeback without asking why... i got scammed by a gambling addict and now they are draining my money because the addict is doing chargeback on btc i sold... what a $#*!ing dumb service. What a bunch of fuking thieves themselves
I wouldn't wish PayPal on my worst enemy. After accepting one deposit for the massive amount of $30, my account was closed and I was accused of "suspicious activity." I spent hours on the phone with a ridiculously inept customer service department. I wish PayPal would go bankrupt.
Their shipping platform is going downhill
Less options of USPS services; no way to get tracking number after printing a label
No way to finding shipping sub-site from main site
When you call in, the majority of the reps don't even know about shipping features or who to send one to with questions
On December 15th I scheduled a payment for December 23rd. Well I wake up on December 16th to find out that PayPal has already taken the money from my debit account, leaving me with not enough funds for my car payment. I've used PayPal for about 12 years now, up until today I've never had any problems with them. I've tried contacting them 3 times today and can not get any communication with them. There are other options out there, and I plan to research which is a good match for me.
Enclosed is my scheduled payment
And confirmation of payment.
Paypal is a fraud
When you use Paypal Pay later they do not help you in case you return the merchandise and the seller does not want to return the money because PayPal closes the case for the benefit of the seller and you will pay the total even though they returned the merchandise
Sincerely, if you are going to buy something, do not paypal and use your own credit card or direct debit to the seller so that you can claim the money with your credit card or bank account because if you use Paypal to make a PayPal transaction it is a fraud and they never want to refund the money or be in favor of the buyer
I have done business using PayPal for years buying and selling. Suddenly, they decided they to start holding funding due to high fraud risk. I have to prove I have fulfilled the service. They will hold thousands of dollars for 2-3 weeks. Everything I do is either hand delivered or picked up by the customer. There is no way I can give them a tracking number. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. At this point Venmo is a better option even though they are owned by PayPal. I really like Zelle.
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
