The overall reputation of the company reflects significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support. Many reviews highlight frustrations with delayed transactions, ineffective resolution of disputes, and a lack of proactive communication. Customers frequently report feeling unsupported in cases of fraud or issues with received goods. However, some positive sentiments emerge, particularly regarding the perceived reliability of PayPal as a payment method for certain transactions, which customers associate with enhanced buyer protection. Despite this, the overwhelming trend indicates a critical need for improvement in customer service responsiveness and dispute resolution processes.

After they locked my account and said that it could he 180 days till a review and informed me I can't send receive or transfer my money I'm now behind on bills as my paycheck is direct deposit into PayPal. They have been absolutely no help! Can't even tell me why my account is locked, what went wrong or when it will be fixed. They are just holding 2k of my money for a undisclosed reason. Absolutely complete bs!
I Will it be using my paypal To order online anymore avter today Due to being scammed By kore today and it's not the 1st time paypal is in bed with scammers From them but they're just Getting worse since losing the ebay contract they will doing anything they can to scam you out of money
Bad customer service! Not trustful for using this payment system. I didn't subscribe with any application by PayPal and they are charging from my account. I complained and they didn't take responsibility
Paypal is a good business site for receiveng money and its recommended worldwide but their rates can get outrageous.
They may be ok for simple financial transactions. They are terrible for dispute resolution. They don't even try. They prefer to just have them disappear magically. They don't make the slightest attempt to understand the issue. Instead the send some generic dumb A** responses. Closed my account. Not that they care. But, it is an act of rebellion. :)
Absolute worst financial service! Locked my account and are holding my money for absolutely no reason! I currently use chime, but any service is better than the trash service provided by paypal!
I've set up a PayPal account so I could pay my renewal fee as a member of a teachers organization. I have never paid using such an account before; I have paid all dues with my debit card. Now that I have set up the account, I still could not pay! Unfortunately, PayPal seems to be the only way to pay my renewal fees. As a result, I was forced to cancel my membership renewal. Now that I am dissatisfied with the whole process, I wanted to close my account. But it would not let me. I also wanted to get rid of some of the information I had put in for my "wallet". Excuse me for being a bit of a luddite, but I prefer the old way of paying for stuff (cold hard cash, but credit/debit for wireless and necessary purchases). Using PayPal just reinforces my belief that this is just another racket.
Bad business That's customer business they are rip off they hold my money I feel this is Scam PayPal they are a scam
Be very careful storing money in PayPal.
If you violate any rules which they can make up on the way, they still steal all your funds in your account. Class action has apparently been opened against them for this.
Paypal freeze my money without any explanation of the violation. They said they will freeze my money for 180 days but 180 days is over until now they didn't return my noney, the company is taking my money for their own purpose. Right now i cannot log in on my account they already take my money and never return it.
Beware. I have used paypal for 14 years with no fraudulent transactions or other issues. This spring they decided they would start hording my money for 3 weeks before allowing me to deposit into my bank. Multiple attempts to explain my 15 year old business model with them have failed. If you want your payment processor to arbitrarily be able to steal your money for a few weeks, you have found your processor. I am looking into other options. Also, notice paypal has paid business review services to obscure complaints. Read the fine print. The mysterious review services at the top of search are all paypal paid. Had to find the real reviews here at the bottom of the search page.
Actually, I have tried plenty of various payment methods and payment service but I have never faced something more convenient than paypal. In my opinion, paypal owns everything that you need for receiving and transfering money around the whole world. Moreover, all people around the world have their paypal, at least those ones who live in progressive countries. Of course, sometimes it might be quite inconvenient to transfer money, nevertheless I have never faced any issues with paypal. Everything is executed pretty fast and the recipient always tells me that the money was got.
Paypal has blocked me from being able to transfer money directly into my bank. To be more specific, I can't link my bank to Paypal for some odd reason. Meanwhile, I can link my debit card (from that same bank) to Paypal with no problem. I contacted customer service and they are the ones that told me that the system is blocking it for some reason and they can't do anything to fix the issue. So now I'm just stuck with this issue and it's really inconvenient. I'm convinced that Paypal wants to continue to fee me and take my money (because I don't get fees for transfers if it was transferred directly into my bank); maybe that's the only way they make money but I don't like this kind of scheme. Unfortunately, I know several other people going through the same issue... Like if it wasn't for this, I wouldn't have a problem with Paypal... But this makes me dislike it. Like how can you not fix something that your own system is doing?!
Quitting PayPal today after 20 years or so. I've used it almost exclusively in the past, I felt the safety of being protected. The last 3-4 disputes all went the other way - mostly Chinese garbage sellers who know how to game PayPal. This time, they charged me tax - not US tax mind you - of $22 and change on a $113 transaction. The tax was not on the invoice before I clicked compete purchase. It was on the receipt they sent me in email. So they just stole $22, I disputed it and PayPal sided with the seller. Goodbye PayPal, you piece of garbage of a company run mostly by garbage foreigners who all hate Americans. Well, $#*! you and goodbye then. Plenty good alternatives. Let's start a movement and all quit PayPal.
Overall very complicated website to use. Refuses to apply the language preferred, keeping a previous one; money received not usable; customer support inexistent etc.
This horrible corporation stole 50$ from me and then stole another 300$. I called the help line, which was extremely unhelpful. If you can rob this evil corporation blind- i highly recommend that you do.
I wish I could give zero stars. I sold a shirt on Depop and shipped it out. The buyer paid on Paypal. Paypal sent 2 small deposits to my bank account to confirm my bank account, except I never received 2 small deposits in my account. The other day I received an email from Paypal saying the payment was returned to the buyer because I am not verified. So the buyer gets her money back and a free shirt. I lost money because of Paypal's incompetence. I am reporting Paypal to the New York State Attorney General.
For the last 2 months I've been dealing with a nightmare! I have PayPal credit and PayPal Mastercard and I have payments set up on autopay with my checking account, so out of the blue I get my payment returned stating insufficient funds so I call my bank and they said that's crazy and my account is fine and they don't even see PayPal trying to submit payment so I end up with 29 dollar fee and call PayPal credit and I do payment over phone and it's fine so again this month it happens so I call again and they said PayPal said my checking account was closed which is a lie so this time I pay off my cards and again PayPal stops it so I do it over the phone because the %#*! Shady PayPal is racking up on fees now 40 dollars for each returned payment nice little scam PayPal but luckily synchrony bank realizes PayPal is at fault and takes care of fees and I completely close out everything dealing with PayPal the scumbag of all paying sites
We had a problem with a purchase refund because the seller did not wanted to meet after a deposit, we reported immediately but unfortunately PayPal wash their hands and instead said that supposedly:" transactions weren't unauthorized and hence couldn't be covered by PayPal Purchase Protection." No explanation no second attempt.
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.

Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
