I ordered frames only to have made into a new pair of glasses and sunglasses. I wear lined trifocals, which are not available through Payne, so I take the frames from Payne to my eye doctor and get lenses put in them. This is the third pair I've ordered, and they've all fit nicely and look great.
Ordering was simple once I knew what measurements I wanted. My glasses arrived quickly and they were exactly what I wanted. The price was excellent, too. My regular optometrist office charged me. $400 for a similar pair.

I have recently gotten both myself and my wife two pairs of prescription glasses each from Payne Glasses. The online process was easy to enter the Rx information and they offered a very wide selection of frames, lenses, and finishing options. One of our four pairs of glasses took a few weeks longer than the rest to receive and it would have been nice to receive updates on the delay ahead of time. Having had the glasses for a few weeks now... the lenses are very good and the prescription is spot on. The frames are good and appear to be well made but feel a bit more second or third tier. Not bad mind you, just not great.

The site is fairly easy to use and the glasses are mostly true to size. A bit lower quality than what you get at the optometrist but for such a lower price it is a great value. Perfect for having other fashion options

I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I received my new glasses. The quality of the frames and lenses seems on par with much more expensive purchases I have made in the past from local providers.
Just ordered a pair to try them out, couldn't believe that as a newcomer to this country and paying $445 for a useless pair of varifocals in Walmart that buying them for $43 from Payne would work out. But they are great, lightweight, lenses are scratch resistant and easy to clean. Staggering choice of frames all at reasonable prices.
I am not a collector and don't have a pair for every outfit, but like a spare pair or two in case of accidents. I encourage my family to shop at Payne for obvious reasons.

I'm retired just over a year and was so surprised at how good prices were as compared to the prices I payed with insurance. I used to have. User friendly process.
With this being my third purchase from Payne, I didn't see me having any issues... but the two pairs of sunglasses I purchased for my son were very small. Smaller than his regular prescription glasses. We both were a little bummed by this and he's extremely self conscious about wearing glasses anyway.
Quick service and received very quickly didn't know that I only work a 1/2 mile from them. Customer service chat was also very helpful with the question I had on my glasses when I received them.
My progressives prescription was not manufactured correctly, and the lenses were wrong. Could not reach anyone by phone to resolve, was told only by email. Each response took several days, and the entire issue, which was a refund, took about a month to resolve. I was asked to pay an up charge to get the premium warranty to even get a refund. Otherwise the choice for a replacement was single vision only, when I'd paid for progressives! Details got lost in the many daisychained emails, and my optician verified a defect in the lenses. Their optician says they were made to spec. I'm going to trust my optician with 40+ years experience, than some fly by night online only company. Some things are best still done in person, only. There is no quality customer service anymore, just pushing company policies and no authority to think outside of that to assist customers. I finally got a full refund, but this was an incredibly disappointing experience overall. Their optician viewed my initial photos wearing them with their PD markers on them, and noted "they are not straight on your face", why I could not see out of them. My optician straightened them and noted the lenses didn't have prism. It wasn't written into my prescription, but all progressive lenses have prisim ground into them. Not only don't I recommended this company, I don't recommend online ordering of glasses other than single vision, maybe bifocals.
