The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

I did lots of internet searching for specialty parts for my 8 series BMW. I regret ever doing business with parts Geek. Not only did i receive garbage parts, my credit card that was used to purchase parts from Parts Geek was used nearby their location in New York area to buy food, and more auto parts for a car i do not even own.
How these people continue to stay in business is beyond me. I did figure out that the actual owner of Parts Geek does no more than use his computer and brokers auto parts, plays middle man and adds on his profit onto the part your buying. Not illegal but compounded with buying stuff on my credit card, makes this outfit slippery as a wet green growth of moss on your sidewalk.
I recommend using other shops to buy your parts if you don't want the hassle of disputing credit Card purchases.
Buyer beware. Ordering parts online can be very convenient, but the problem is that you don't see and inspect what you are buying at the time of the purchase. If what you buy ends up being the wrong part or application, you expect to have a reasonable exchange policy (to get the right part). Do not look for that assurance with Parts Geek. They are not the old time, friendly parts store that was just down the street... or maybe the next neighborhood over, and I will not buy from them again.
I am very frustrated, upon receiving this item the box was severely damaged, opened it only to find the alternator plug is broken, the box was dropped and not handled carefully.
I order a fuel sensor for my bmw I got the part and it's broken in there sealed package, i called to get a replacement and the guy on the phone said he would send a replacement. So I called 3 days later and they said no i need to buy another one if i need the part they need to review the part. Before we refund your money. Soooooo they dont replace there broken parts they lied to me about sending me another part. And the first woman I talked to I asked her name because I wanted to file a complaint and she said have a nice day and hung up on me. Will never order parts for these people
Placed order on radiator that showed as in stock. Two days later I was informed that order was canceled because out of stock.
Obviously they have a very, very poor system.
Ordered a part online. Received a 0hone call stating there was a problem with my order. Cleared up the problem only to receive another email 2 days later 8ndicating the same problem and that they cancelled my order this time. Called and requested a supervisor and jester (figures rite) couldn't tell us why one person can say everything is good and your order will be shipped to speaking with and basically told us to go buy it somewhere else. Asked for a contact name and number of his boss and he said I can't give that to you. These people are liars and frauds. Left me stranded with a broken truck for 3 extra days 1000 miles from home and they just didn't care. I suggest you spend the extra money and buy from a company that cares about there customer more than themselves and has a moral code of ethics. This company is horrible.
I ordered my parts back in June with the intention to do the job shortly after that. We'll lots of personal things happened and I wasn't able to get to it until August (75 days). I disassembled the driver side strut/shock assembly from the 2015 Honda Odyssey and tried to install the part from PartsGeek. The top mounting bolts don't match up with the holes on the vehicle. I am 100% positive I ordered the right parts and even the order says to, but these are not the right parts. Called PartsGeek and they said since it's over 30 days, can't help me. Jeffery x7004 at Customer service just repeated "75 days" is past the return policy. When I asked for the manager, nobody was available and they said they would call me back. Ha! Never happened. So now I had to dispute the charge on my credit card to see if I can get any relief. All I wanted was an exchange for the right parts. Wasn't asking for my money back. Someone over there at PartsGeek must have shipped the wrong parts or else the wrong parts are in the boxes. These are Unity Strut Assemblies. I am done with PartsGeek for sure.
I ordered 2 parts. Delivery should have taken a week. After first week and no parts, I called and was told they were enroute. That was a lie. A week later, still no parts. By this time I had already got the parts somewhere else and was just waiting to recieve the partsgeek parts so i could return them. 16 days after I ordered I called to see where they were, again told they were enroute. 2 hours after my call I got an email with tracking numbers. I recieved the parts on the 19th day after original order. I promptly sent them back. I paid $13 for return shipping. Then the fight for a refund... need I continue?
Associated with Freeshipping.com and they are even more arrogant. Any place that starts out listing their rules about how you are to proceed spending your money one needs to avoid. I have learned my lesson!
When I ordered my brakes for my car they said fast shipping? Well that was lie #1, we ordered them a week ago an we're still waiting?
Returned product and provided proof. Refused refund! They're thieves and liars. Lied to Chase bank but what's worse, chase bank believed them!
Ordered part Tuesday afternoon, received it standard shipping Wednesday afternoon! No issues here! Will reuse.
This will be the last time I ordered from PartsGeek. I had confirmation that both my parts were sent out I never received my second part called them now I got to wait another week when I had confirmation at both parts were shipped on the same date I asked if the compensated they said no
I tried to order a part i clicked purchase hoping everything was good than got a email later saying they couldnt complete my purchase tell i sent them a picture ID. To me that seems really weird so i decided not to go through with the purchase. They sent me another email saying i had to email again to confirm i wanted to cancel my order so i did. Than an couple hrs later i got a charge on my credit card for the full purchase price. I hope this gets resolved quick considering its a 1200 dollar price. Not happy at all with this company.
Been calling partsgeek.com customer service and couldn't provide tracking info or if order has been shipped. Place order on July 21st and check again on July 28th but still no clue of my order.
Absolutely do not buy from this so called company. It's going on over 7 days and still haven't received any shipping information. The customer see is is vague af and it's empty promises after empty promises. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND BUY ELSE WHERE!
Please do yourself a favor and buy parts from somewhere else. I was sent the wrong brake rotors. Not only where they the wrong fit for my SUV, but they sent the a completely different part number from what I ordered. When I tried to return them I was told that since the part number did not match what I ordered they could not accept the return. I have called seven times and get the same run around. Don't waste your money with them.
I ordered a part never received it. I called the shipper FEDEX a couple of weeks after I ordered the part and they assured me my package was in-transit. I called several more times and then at the month mark FEDEX tells me that the box was empty when they received it. So why were they giving me the run around for the last month. So I called PartsGeek the still haven't refunded my money. They said the carrier has to do an investigation first. I wish i could sue them for wasting my time because I have been without a vehicle this whole time.
They sent the wrong part and refuse to refund my money. I will never buy from them again! Sorry company with sorry refund policy.
One month no part, called every 4 days. Got lies, over and over and Telling me to call the post office and figure it out. Finally when it came to a refund I was told I would get one. Days go bye, No refund. I am now letting my credit card company handle it. Place is a big scam. Please do not buy from this company.
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
