I placed an online order for several life jackets with Overtons the end of May 2021. The website indicated all of them were in stock. A month later I still had not seen them and there was no way to get online and track its progress. All it claimed was that it was being processed. I called and waited 30 minutes for a customer service person and all she could say was things were slow because of Covid and they would try and ship soon. Two weeks later they arrived and one jacket did not fit so i sent it back using their return authorization information. Now a month later still no credit and they want me to prove I sent it. UPS confirmed it arrived at their facility and they still want me to prove its there. Worst service I have ever seen. Don't buy from this place there are a lot of other companies that are way better.
Ordered an item 3 weeks ago. They charged me $1,700 but have not communicated or shipped the item yet. I called their customer service twice and was summarily hung up on twice. I was being polite too. That's unbelievable! Emails have not been returned, etc. I'm sure they'll use the pathetic covid excuse. Bottom line, if you can't produce an item in short order, it should not be advertised on your website.
I ordered a part from them 2 years ago and it went ok overall. I just ordered the same part again on 6/12/21 and they immediately took the money from my PayPal account.
It's now closing in on 3 weeks and they haven't even shipped yet!
I tried to call customer service but after over 15 minutes on hold I gave up and thought I go online to see if if I could reach someone.
On the website they had an option for live chat but after inputting all my information and hitting the connect icon it just tried to establish a link for 10 minutes until I got another message saying no one was available and it severed the link. Needless to say it will be my last order from overtones!
Unacceptable! Shipping took weeks, never received some of my order. After 30 days finally canceled. Placed an order with "the-house.com" for the exact same items, shipped the next day and arrived in 3.
I will NEVER step foot into a Camping World EVER again. So a few weeks ago I thought it would be a good idea to invest in 30 life vests to have available for our members and guests. Why? Because I am concerned that many kiddos are getting into pools after being away from them for such a long period of time. With that said, I went to Overtons.com (A Camping World Company) and spent a pretty good amount on 31 life vests. About a week later one of my team members signed off on a large delivery to our company from FedEx that included a few boxes from Camping World. The next day I unpacked the boxes to find that 17 of the vests were not in the boxes. Not a big deal as sometimes FedEx does not drop everything off at the same time. But after two days I reached out to the company and left my first message. No reply. The next day I left another message. No reply. The next day I left another message. No reply. I then finally got someone on the phone. Can you guess what they said? Yep! They cant help me because someone signed off on the delivery. So when was the last time that an employee actually opened a box with the owners name on it to be certain that everything was in there? Ahhhh.,., NEVER! I then called again today as I really could not believe that they were going to short me over $200 worth of life vest. But to my surprise... they stated the same thing. Now take in mind that the company mission statement from the chairman of Camping world, Marcus Lemonis is "If You're not happy, I'm not happy." Well Marcus, your butt better be unhappy right now. Because I am really not happy!
Placed my order 6/4 delivery was between 6/10-6/14. It's now 6/20 and nothing. Tracking says check back soon! Package toured Indiana to Kentucky and back to Indiana for days. I emailed their "help" guy Marcus, days ago with no response. All tracking info stopped days ago. Only recourse is to have cc company reverse charges. Is fedx or usps to blame? I don't know? I bought from Overton it's up to them to see package is delivered in a timely manner.
Cannot contact about my order Only a answering machine. I went to the store it's closer permanently.No way to contact Overtons marine.
I ordered a grill mount. It took two weeks to get here even after I paid for expedited shipping. When it arrived it was damaged an missing parts. I emailed, tried their chat and phone customer service. Nothing. Zero. Zip. Could not get anyone. I am now disputing the charges. Don't order anything from them!
I wish I saw all the bad reviews for Overton's, horrible. Have tried to return an item for a couple of weeks now. Package came with the seal broken and I'm getting the run around trying to return it. Long phone waits with no help at the end. I will never order another item from them. I only gave them 1 star because it is the onky way to get the review listed. 0 stars.
After 11 days, 2 phone calls and 33 minutes on the phone, 31 waiting. I give up. Canceled the order and will never, ever shop Overton again.
We ordered 4 gray dock bumpers order #******* on 5/3/21and 2 dockmate corner bumpers order# ******* on 5/6/21 and agent said they would ship together. We also were told they would be shipped in about 10 days. Both purchases were paid for by credit card. Today, 5/29 we called and were told they would be coming in on June 10 so we assumed we would still get out shipment. Then we received an email that they had cancelled our order and were back ordered and they cancelled our order. That is not what we wanted to hear. I called back to ask why we were told we would have them by June 10 and was transferred twice and then they hung up. I wish I would have checked on their reputation first. I will try to find what we were promised to get before summer is over.
Ordered life jackets for our resort on May 10th and they were all listed as in stock. Today is May 25th and they have not shipped. Called, got transferred after 10 minutes, waited another 20 minutes and was told they will ship within a week or so. Total of 45 minutes... cancelled order. Never again
Got my carpet in 6 days. The only criticism I have is that they didn't email me when my order was shipped. Other than that I am very satisfied.
Ordered a pair of dock bumpers almost 2 weeks ago... still not shipped. Contacted Cust. Svc they told me takes 8 to 10 business days to ship. And was very abrupt with me. If this item was available somewhere else, I would of cancelled. This is the second and LAST time I will order from Overton's. Catalogs received in the mail will find a nice home in the trash can. Someone should tell Marcus Lemonis to stop helping other companies on his Tv show and concentrate on his own! Shop elsewhere.
I have been trying to check on why an order will not ship, when I have confirmed by phone the items are in stock. Credit card was charged immediately. I have ordered from these folks for years, but do your self a favor and stick with Amazon.
Whatever you do do not buy from this business. Complete waste of time money and energy dealing with such poore poore Customer service One thing you will receive from this company is lies. Over and over again.
I ordered a Penn rod and had booked a trolling trip. The rod showed up damaged and it was obviously to poor packaging. I used to buy all my boating supplies from Overtons, but no more, I use Hodges Marine now. The Overtons website says " If you're not happy then I'm not happy " contact *******@marcusvip.com. Never heard a word!
Ordered a cover in November 2020 it is now January 2021 and still no refund and no cover. Don't buy from this company, I have hours of time invested on getting a refund and their Good Sam card does nothing to help.

Answer: Live chat seemed almost immediately available, but representatives have no power to resolve issues nor do they have any information regarding items they list. Researching the item I was after showed it had been discontinued by the manufacturer and would no longer be available, but online reps kept insisting that the item could be back ordered f I waited long enough. Maybe I'd believe them if it wasn't for the literally hundreds of reviews calling out the exact same scam. Chat Reps had snippy, dismissive attitude as noted in many, many reviews. The reps know they are working for a scam organization and they're cool with it.
