I had been to Bravo with my family, and the experience was not a positive one. The manager asked that we give them a second chance, and we did. Totally different experience! The service was great, the food for one in the party came out "not too good, burned a bit". When the waitress saw it wasn't being eaten she went and had the order redone. We appreciated that. Much better than the first. Thanks to the manager
I love the ambience & was welcomed by the staff. Truly tasty Chicken curry. Laksa. Seafood Hor Fun... Service staff was very friendly & helpful. Manager recommended exotic desserts... Will definitely recommend this place!
I tried many times to book a reservation at Per Se with opentable. Everytime I made a reservation, opentable came back with 'no table available' even at the time showed up by opentable. To make it simple and easy, why opentable just tell people when any table will be available, instead of trying a million times and each time has no table.
Unfortunately, I have attempted to "Unsubscribe" to their email restaurant referrals using their specific directions, but after the 4th effort to unsubscribe I am here voicing my displeasure. From other reviews, here, I see that service is not their concern. Open Table, but no service!
Based on reviews we expected a good experience. Service friendly but very inattentive. Food poor quality, calamari burnt, ribs spoiled tasting very over-sauced. Choosing a sandwich would have been the best option. Will not return.
Totally frustrated by chat line customer service. It only has a list of pat answers which do not match up with my problem of non functioning reward card. I long for the days they had effective customer service withlive personelle.
Our party of 15 went there for Mother's Day dinner, as we wanted to treat 4 moms all at once and thought it would be a beautiful location for dinner, which it was, but the food was extremely pricey for what you got, and the portion size was SMALL. The seafood chowder was served in large bowl with about 1/2 a ladle of soup... terrible portion size, but tasted good. The men, after spending about $50 per person (and we were trying to be conservative by not ordering alcohol and just getting a nice meal) were still hungry. Also the service was very in-attentive... prbably because they automatically get their 15%, and we were not drinking alcohol. Probably won't go back... so many other great restaurants that will give better value and experience.
I deleted it. I'd rather walk across an ocean of glass than ever us that site/app ever again. I can't reset my password, make any bookings, etc. Mind you during COVID they had more than enough time to improve but it's the same thing again and again. If you live in NYC and need a better app then just use Resy.
They confirmed my Tuesday reservation at La Mia Cucina (one of the best restaurants in Pacific Grove, Ca.), but at the door it is clearly and permanently painted on the door that they are only open Wednesday through Sunday! Thanks a lot! We were left in a pinch trying to find anther restaurant that didn't need reservations or didn't have a long wait. Can't trust them. Learned my lesson. Never will again.
Incredible! I have used this easy-to-use website satisfactorally many times only to be put down tonight! This is what I was emailed: "Your table for 5 at Bar Italia will be ready on Sunday, January 8,2012 at 11:00 PM. The reservation is held under:... Be sure to check in with the maitre d' when you arrive." Surprisingly, I arrived at the restaurant and it was closed, totally closed, chairs on top of tables and nobody there. Imagine, at 11pm, ended top in a diner thanks to them!
What is this? I tried looking for a complaint or review tab in their site and there isn't any! Let's see if they answer my email complaining!
With there new "improved' reward program I activated a 2000 point dining reward for a reservation at Piatanzi (which I love). My 2000 points immediately disappeared. I was told that I would receive an email connecting me to a $10 gift card. No such email came.
Open Table was once a great program then a couple of years ago they changed to a new rewards system that few of their restaraunts participated in & began screwing up the actual reservations, usually dates. Now they have made it worse-far worse.
They are ok for placing reservations (though calling the restaurant is easier if it is local) but don't regard the reward system as anything but a scam.
Booked a table through OT and later the restaurant called to cancel the reservation. Next, I got a rude email from OT teaching me manners and cancellation policies. I tried to answer/explain (probably nobody read my comment) and got another email from OT informing me that this time they will erase my bad record but won't happen next time.
It was the third time in 8 months (about 50% of the time) that a restaurant was canceling my reservation.
I use opentable pretty frequently and have never had an issue. As someone who lives in metropolitan area where EVERYTHING is always packed opentable can be a real lifesaver. I will say the one downfall is that you have to make your reservation pretty far in advance if you aren't looking to eat early or late. I like to eat late, so I'm usually in luck! Overall I find this to be a great tool with an easy to use application interface.
I'm in Canada and accumulated about 5,000 points. After jumping through a bunch of hoops I turned them into dining points. Then I tried to find a restaurant in the Vancouver area that accepts the dining points. Every one I selected was not participating. I contacted opentable to find out that they don't offer a filter in the search to find participating restaurants. After opening about 50 and getting the same message "this restuarant does not participate in the dining rewards program", I gave up. So in effect, using opentable has absolutely no benefit to me. I have removed the app and will no longer use this garbage.
Recorded restaurant message said we need to use Open Table to reserve at Canyon Cafe in Tucson. Wasted 25 minutes trying to get on Open Table (hotel wifi!) only to find the restaurant not listed there. Finally, ditched Open Table and entered Canyon Cafe Web site directly in 10 seconds. Open Table was a complete waste of time.
Food and service were great. This review gets a 1 star due to the fact that valet broke our tail light and will not replace. We have emailed, called, left voicemails and contacted them on social media. The tail light is over $400 that was broken by their mandatory valet parking. Corporate has done nothing and does not seem to care at all. This was a family night with a tab over $3k. Will not be spending another dime at any of Landry's restaurants.
We've been going to The Fish Company for years now and have really enjoyed their fresh seafood.
But there's a new Sheriff in town and he's making sure you don't get too much of a good thing. He's going to charge you if you want more than two (2) wedges of lemon with your meal. And, for those of us who can't eat Saltines, he's going going to charge you $2.00 for a small basket of Captain's Crackers "because they're too expensive".
Methinks the bottom line has bottomed out! Come on Sheriff, is it really worth losing customers over lemon wedges and crackers?
Until then it's BYOL (bring your own lemon) and your box of Captain's Crackers.
We had a family party for 18 people in a private room. Everything including: price, scheduling, decor, food, SERVICE, was excellent. Although we had more than one server, the primary excellent server was Jannelle. We've also been for lunch and dinner. Always very good.
I have used opentable quite a bit and have been generally happy with the service provided. I often find that opentable tells me no tables are open, but can call the restaurant and get a table anyway - so I am not sure it is really that great, all things considered.
I recently had an experience which has made me vow not to use opentable ever again. I live in New York City and "missed" a reservation the night the storm hit. Opentable sent me an obnoxious email asking what happened and threatening to cancel my account if the behaviour continued. I couldn't have been more offended - the worst storm potentially ever to hit the East Coast hit New York and I was being dinged and threatened because I didn't show up at a restaurant.
Further, Opentable doesn't even have a "contact us" section of their website with a phone number or even an email address. The company is clearly not about the consumer - it is about making money. I won't use a company like this ever again.
I had used Open table years ago and never had any problems. Recently I went back to using them and what a mistake. I've had 2 reservations not show up, one of which was a bonus point of ******* points as they indicated. Sent their support an email about it. The first response was for me to take a picture of my itemized receipt--who does that. Okay I sent my signed reveipt copy. Their response was oh the restaurant cancelled my reservation, but they would credit my account 100 points. That in itself was so much bull. This is a five star restaurant, reservations required, if they cancelled my teservation, I would not have gotten a seat. Lesson learned- things change. Open table is not what it used to be and not a business that stands by their word or reputation.
Answer: I don't know, but I do know that Open Table gets $1 from the restaurant for each person on the reservation. So they make $8 for a party of 8, but give a (puny) $1 to the person booking it. Good point to bring up with them.
OpenTable has a rating of 1.3 stars from 319 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with OpenTable most frequently mention customer service, gift card and phone number. OpenTable ranks 60th among Restaurant Reviews sites.
