I ordered a sheet of 3/4 #9 expanded metal, flattened, for a shelf. My local suppliers did not have what I was looking for, and Online Metals came in clutch once again. It arrived in a couple of days, and was packaged very well. It says on the custom cut page, that their cuts are +/-. 125". In my experience, they always cut to far tighter tolerances than that. This sheet measured dead on and fit like a glove.

I have purchased from online metals many times over the past few years. Their selection, service and pricing is excellent. The only thing I would say is if the shipping pricing is high if possible try a different size, I believe oversized shipping get very expensive. I was buying aluminum sheets and wanted to buy a little extra. Shipping came out to be very expensive, almost the cost of the sheet. I went down by 1 foot in one dimension and the shipping cost decreased by more then 50%. I know its not the fault of OnlineMetals, it's just the cost of shipping. However, it would be helpful if OnlineMetals would notify a customer which sizes are oversized when looking at sizes. With this being said, I have been happy with my experiences and I'm sure I will be ordering from them again.

Savings promotions and discount codes were better for the customer before the game changed to the current rewards program. Now I cross shop other vendors many times have better pricing.

I contacted the company via online chat. I had fantastic service. I could tell right away that I was actually chatting with a knowledgeable person located in the United States. I got a quote that was delivered to both my email as well as an account I created on the site. I started to initiate the purchase when at the last minute, I realized that I had given the wrong dimensions. I called the company and asked for the person with whom I was chatting. Guess what? That person, I think her name is Sharrell, spoke with me, made the adjustments and resent the quote. The product arrived within days. It arrived packaged perfectly. And speaking of perfect, it was.
