I don't have the time to go drive 45-60 minutes one way to buy small quantities, so onlinemetals is great. The $10 extra fees on my $20 order is well worth the convenience of picking exactly what I want online and having it delivered to my door within a week. Local hardware stores might have some of what I want, but they charge 3x the amount. One issue I have is that in the past 42" lengths were sold as the deal for shipping rates, but this seems to have disappeared? On this last order I purchased 36" lengths, as shipping for the 48" lengths was 2x more.
The website platform is really good, easy to use and the customer service is very fast and give solutions. Very good product also and easy to track for delivery.
The ordering process was easy and intuitive. I was notified through the process of the status of the order. The order arrive when promised and no issues were encountered.

The material was exactly as I ordered and showed up on time. The 1/4" rods needed to be better wrapped. The ends of the tube gave way as soon as I picked up the package. Everything else was perfect.

It was fine. I really don't order on line that much and am thankful when I can get in and out without a hassle. I do call the phone when I have a problem and can do "chat". But my favorite is live people who are kind, courteous and still employed.

I had custom brass pipes made for a fountain in 2019…I needed to reorder the same exact size that had worked perfectly previously. I called hoping they had my history so I wouldn't have to guess at the size. They had my old records and sent the pipes promptly…once again fit perfectly!

Saw a sale on items i frequently use. Ordered them along with some things i needed right away. Not everything was in stock but I quickly received an email asking if I would rather wait or sub items. Shipment came quickly and in good condition. I have been a happy customer of onlinemetals for years and will continue to shop with them because of their price service and selection.

The metal is good and the site is good and the customer service is exceptional, but I'm never going to be truly happy with this company until you can lower your shipping prices. Every item i add to my card has its own shipping costs applied. I can order something the size of a pencil and the shipping will go up by $12-15. I understand that it's because you ship from numerous locations, but in 2025 given the state of affairs with online commerce, it's a major problem and you're always going to be my last resort until you fix it. That said, your selection is second to none, so I will probably continue to default to OM and pay the exhorbitant shipping more often than I'd like to.
