I purchased the Gluten free Vanilla Cake mix. You would think there would be directions on the bag? No. Lol I had to look it up on their website. The directions they gave were for 3 cups of the mix. There are only 2 cups in the bag….it would have been nice if they were upfront with that tidbit of info when purchasing….After I revisited my 6 grade fractions lessons, I was able to figure it out. Haha.
I wish I was able to at least review this product on the Nuts.com website, but I'm sure they already know the reviews will look like so they probably removed the "write a review" button.
The cake, once baked, was very good. I did however use half and half instead of water. I do a lot of gluten free baking, so I know that it's tricky to try to make a cake moist.
Here's what I used for one bag of Vanilla cake mix: 2 eggs, 1/3 cup of veg.oil, and I started with 2 table spoons of 1/2 & 1/2, but wound up using a few more splashes of the 1/2 & 1/2 until I got the consistency of cake batter. I also added another teaspoon of vanilla. Bake at 325 for about 15-20 minutes. The tops were not browned, but they were cooked when a fork was inserted to check for doneness. Hope this helps! Their products are good, but never count on them to deliver on time. If you like your friends, get them something else. You can get nuts anywhere.

I was given as a gift chocolate covered walnuts. A huge bag GREEN BAG AND IT IS FROM NUTS.COM IT IS ON THE BAG AND ALL OVER THE BOX I RECEIVED. The sender told me they were purchased from Nuts.com. It was a gift sent to me. It was big balls of chocolate no walnuts except for chips that you could not even taste. Say what it is tiny chips of a few walnuts inside a ball of chocolate. Don't scam people into thinking they are purchasing chocolate covered Walnuts. Horrible company and the reviews mostly are probably friends and family scam reviews because I COULD NOT LEAVE A REVIEW.

Poor delivery scheme
November 30, 2021

When I visited the website, I was taunted by the fact that if I ordered something like the chestnuts I did, that it would arrive by Black Friday 11/26 so I placed my order on Tuesday 11/23. Next day I get an email saying my order was delayed until Saturday. Wasn't too much of an issue because I ordered these so that I could enjoy with my family during this holiday period. Saturday came and went, Monday came and went only to receive my shipment on Tuesday 11/30 (trk - **************). I did call them Monday evening, but all they could tell me is that it's arriving Tuesday. Nothing about the fact that the website promised me that it would get there last Friday. Had I received proper information before ordering, I would NOT have placed this order. My chestnuts are here, but I am very disappointed in the way Nuts.com taunts you to order something and NOT care about when the shipment arrives. FedEx to me is the worst shipping company around. I rarely get things on time with them. I didn't pick them, Nuts.com did so they are just as responsible even if shipping was free because I ordered above the trigger point. If you don't care about when you receive your supplies from them, then order away; otherwise, don't trust the dates they PROMISE you.

They sold me a product claiming it was gluten-free and it wasn't. When it came I was so happy I ate some before I read the label and realized it had wheat and soy in it! That's far from gluten-free!

BE CAREFUL!

I placed an order on this site to send my boss a gift. Their order form asked for the RECIPIENT's Email. Naturally I figured this was for delivery information. I entered his email and continued my order. After I completed the order, I was informed THE CONFIRMATION WOULD BE SENT TO MY BOSS's EMAIL! WHAT?! Why would you confirm a GIFT order to the person it is GOING TO?!
I immediately hopped onto their chat and asked them to stop the email or recall it. They said all they can do is resend it.
Look, I do not judge a company by its mistakes. I judge a company by how they CORRECT their mistakes. Nuts.com offered NOTHING to make this right. I cancelled BOTH of my orders and sent my bosses gift baskets from Harry & David. It's worth spending $10 more to get good service.

Delta In Flight

POOR Service
September 21, 2022

I placed two orders with this company on Thursday. They are located just over 200 miles or just over 3 hours from my house. They promised the delivery on Friday. The order was to be used as gifts at a family reunion. When they hadn't arrived on Sunday, I checked the status. They hadn't been picked from nuts.com. I wrote an email to them, stating why I needed them quickly. No response ever except one initial email the first day. "Allow an additional 1-2 days." Um, hello? It's now 4 days. Need help with math? I responded with, "Not helpful. No packages today either. 202 miles away, 3 hours 23 minutes away and it takes more than 4 days to get to me? I've ordered from you for years now and was always satisfied. There is no reasonable way this should ever happen. I'm going to ask for a refund so I can order from wegotnuts.com or mountain man. I'll await your cancelation reply before I order. I'm so sorry."

No response.

By the next day I sent a message, "And now, no response and no packages."

No response.

When I got home at 7pm, the package was on our porch. Upon opening, all of the ice packs were water packs. Guess what happens to ice packs sitting in a warehouse for 4 days and chocolate setting on a porch in early September? I never got an apology, partial refund. Future credit or another communication from them. I've used them for years with only two minor problems before. They used to be a small family company. Apparently the company is now WAY larger than the family. I will never order from them again.

Did not receive
December 18, 2020

Ordered because I was assured it would arrive on thursdaywith either 1 day before or 1 day after window. I was okay with that. Here it is Friday-the day after and trackingshows it will not arrive til Monday. It is a school so it is closed for 2 weeks. BUYER BEWARE! I WANT MY MONEY BACK AS THIS PERSON WONT GET THEIR XMAS GIFT TIL JANUARY 2021.

If I wanted to order Almonds, I would. But mixed nuts should contain a mix of all nuts. There were NO peanuts or pecans. But lots and lots of Almonds. Will not order from Nuts.com again.

I ordered from them for many years with few issues. Whenever they ship my order it comes next day. Having shipments involving more than one box is not uncommon for me and they have always arrived TOGETHER and on time (when they used Fed Ex. They decided to go cheap, and use this sketchy outfit "CDL". The people drive unmarked sketchy vans, blare rap music, and throw your boxes on the steps. I have had 2 or 3 orders so far involving these losers. Since my orders were arriving OK I ignored the unprofessional behavior of the drivers. But this last time, both boxes were shipped out at the same time. And now the one containing $90 worth of nuts is missing. So to recap I PAID NUTS.COM $155 and only got $65 of my product. These sketchy drivers either lost my second box, or frankly, STOLE it. No one can say where the other box went. I have a busy life and have had to take time out of my day to 1) file a payment dispute, 2) Contact their useless customer service (who "will look into it") while I am out $90. Now I have to deal with the stress of being out almost $100 because they decided it would be a good business decision to hire a cheap unprofessional outfit to ship their products. By using these people they make the buying experience terrible and now I have the stress of trying to resolve this. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM - THEY ARE NOT THE SAME AS THEY USED TO BE. They are not the only nut game on the internet - spend your money wisely and elsewhere unless you have money to burn or hours upon hours to spend fixing their screw ups.

I ordered and received my order of Taro Root Powder from Nuts.com and was mystified when I read the ingredients list to find NO TARO ROOT. I contacted Nuts.com and they told me it was included in the "Natural and artificial flavors" ingredient. I found that fishy so I pressed further and they confirmed that there is indeed NO Taro Root in this TARO ROOT POWDER.
