ALL THEY CARE IS FOR YOUR MONEY. THEY CHARGE OUTRAGEOUS FEES. THERE IS NO CONTROL OVER THIS. HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT SERVICES THEY PROVIDED? IT'S CHEAPER TO DIE THEN TO DEAL WITH NOVANT HOSPITAL.
My husband had an outpatient procedure done in January of 2021. Because it was the first of the year, he had not met his deductible which was $6800. 00, which we owed the hospital. They wanted to put him on a payment plan of over 600.00/month to pay his portion. He told them he could not afford that but we would be paying them every month until it was paid. He passed away in August 2021, but I have continued to pay on this bill every month. October 2022, I get a statement from a collection agency, the first one I've received, that states "this is our final attempt to get you to pay your debt." I called the hospital and they tell me it was turned over for collection in October 2021 because we were not meeting the minimum ($600/month) they required. I called both the hospital and the collection agency and informed them I would continue to pay on this bill every month but I would be paying the hospital and not a collection company. And I will also add, the guy I talked with at Paragon (the collection agency) was rather rude. As the saying goes Novant, you can't get blood from a turnip. I will pay the amount I have been paying every month and if it isn't sufficient, I don't know what else to tell you.
Room never cleaned; Bathroom never cleaned no fresh towels. Trash was run over never emptied
ran over i put on gloves Friday morning and emptied trash myself. Laundry never changed until Thursday night I asked for cleaned sheets after 3 days. MINT HILL NOVANT HORRIBLE! I have pictures of the things. ALL OF THEM!
Most of the staff are rude or afraid. They tell out your information very loudly. I was told by employee that if they didn't tell out your address and insurance information the person would be written up by supervisor. I went to an appointment on May 11th and had labs and the physician said he would send prescription to pharmacy that day. Well it's May 20th and the prescription wasn't sent. I've called over 10 times and only had on callback five days later. I was told they were waiting on lab results. She said it was the lab fault and they would call as soon as they get results. THANK GOD I'M NOT A HEART PATIENT. I'D BE DEAD!
I want to Thank all the Staff's at the Hospital.
For being so nice, kind, generally patient with me.
You all are great!
Mental health is a major concern today. Even with current society making it less taboo, it takes a lot for someone to admit they need help. I contacted Novant Health Psychiatric & Mental Health Institute-Forsyth and was told they could evaluate me and refer me to a therapist within the network. At the time of the initial call, they asked for my insurance which was provided. At my appointment, they made a copy of my insurance card and had me fill out paperwork. I then underwent the normal tests such as weight, blood pressure, etc. Afterwards I spoke with someone who asked me specific questions as to why I thought I needed a therapist so I summarized my recent tragedy. After listening to me and finally thumbing through to the last page of my newly opened file which was my insurance information, I was told that they don't really have anyone that is covered by my insurance and sent away. A few weeks later I received an EOB indicating that my insurance did not cover any of the visit. The visit that produced no results! A few days following, I received a bill from Novant (which didn't include the discounted rate that my insurance claimed they could charge). I have been on the phone with Novant's billing, medical records, customer service and even the Institute itself asking them to prove to me that they provided a service other than gathering information that was already provided in MyChart. They claim they will review and call me back but they never do. Although Novant is a monopoly in my area, I DO NOT recommend using their mental health services!
Novant overcharges patients and takes them to court for it. They will do anything for money. They ruin lives to make a profit. They have done this for years and need to know that it is unacceptable! Submit a complaint to the NC Department of Justice at http://www.ncdoj.gov/getdoc/59be4357-41f3-4377-b10f-3e8bd532da5f/Complaint-Form.aspx. They will finally stop Novant from putting patients into lifelong debt!
Highly recommend not seeing Sun K Das. He did not listen to anything. Worst experience ever was also 40 min late to visit.
I have been VERY happy while being under the care of my doctor for years. The billing was then taken care of by NHRMC. I had Blue Cross PPO and everything was smooth. Just had to pay my $15 copay.
Then I turned 65. Medicare was my primary insurance, PPO the second one. This PPO insurance is one of the best.
Since it changed to Novant Health, it has been a nightmare. Had to involve my PPO insurance to lower the price for hundreds of dollars... Then I received another bill that reads I have to pay for extra time with my doctor... which he did NOT spend with me. My PPO and Medicare refused it of course. My copay is $15 and since NOVANT is here, I have to pay for anything I did not have to pay for before, and spend my time to contact my insurance to resolve the billing issues. It creates now high blood pressure from stress.
This is unacceptable. Novant uses Medicare patients (in the hope they are not able to react, due to their age) to pay for something they are not supposed to pay!
I am considering suing Novant Health.
Meanwhile, I will have to find another doctor, regretfully indeed, who is not affiliated to Novant Health.
Whose responsibility to contact patients about test results? I had an MRI for my lumbar. No contact about that and NO concern about my AAA OR LARGE BLADDER MASS!
Don't go to this office. I got told to many message questions. Lack of response, didn't listen & poor handling of situation.
They sick bad doctor $#*! then kiss NY $#*! go to hell drop dead you killer's they kill black people only black people
I went to see a psychiatrist at Novant Health Psychiatric Medicine with Dr. Sirajuddin Ismail. I drove 30 minutes ro appointment. I did not realize my financial assistance had expired a week prior so they wanted money up front. I advised I did not realize my financial assistance had expired and wasn't aware of no estimate. Now I suffer from a mental illness and on this day I was in dyer need to see my psychiatrist.supervisor didn't even care and said I can't be seen. Even though I'm in the middle of a new diagnosis and I'm in the middle of recertyfing my financial assistance. Again no one cared. She was NSTY AND NOT EMPATHETIC at all. I sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes already depressed and having a bad anxiety attacked. Already severely depressed among other severe symptoms. I emailed my psychiatrist last week and I received NO response. I explained to him why I wasn't at the appointment even though he came out of his office and looked right at me. I explained to him my symptoms and severe depression. This dr. Still until this never never even responded to me. It has been 5 days. So he ignored my message. So NO DRS DO NOT CARE IF YOU JUMP OFF A BRIDGE….if you don't have money to pay now they turn you away. Who turns a mental illness pt away….who does that…especially with bipolar. I already have my lawyer involved. This was the worst experience ever. No other office has ever treated me this way and they have been understanding and showed empathy. So our healthcare has totally gone to hell…no one cares. I been trying to get help for over a year but too money hungry. Very very sad….no one can believe they actually turned away a patient who was having a panic nd anxiety attack. Now I see why we have so many mental illness patients out in the street or committing suicide because these greedy dr´s don't want to help and really don't care….SO THANK YOU NOVANT FOR TREATING ME LIKE GARBAGE AND MAKING MY TRIGGERS WORSE….
This is probably the worst place you can go! I needed psychological therapy to deal with my anxiety and ptsd and was encouraged to do an outpatient therapy program which should have been covered. Skip forward months later with an almost $1000 bill which I shouldn't have had to begin with, and now I'm trying to figure out why something that should have been covered wasnt. Well then my insurance pays for it and then requests a refund, pays for it some more and requests another refund (they're horrible too) and finally they say that if it was supposed to be covered then the medical provider at Novant must've coded it wrong. But for the next 3 months and HOURS of calling trying to get the Insurance and Novant to 3 way call and just SPEAK WITH EACH OTHER, I finally suck it up and apply for financial assistance. Wait for weeks on that and receive a notice and phone call from a collection Agency. I call Novant to see why in the heck they send it to a collections agency when I'm trying to apply for assistance and it turns out after weeks... they never send it to the financial department. Skip forward to a couple hours later cause now I lit a fire under their butts only to receive notice that my bill wasn't expensive enough for them to assist. Oh and just a little extra something to top the cake, I called the therapist to ask for an explanation and his response was "we don't actually take care of you anymore after you leave our program, so yeah." What BS. Avoid at all cost unless you want to spend hours on the phone and still get nowhere, spend money you weren't supposed to in the first place and get dropped like a hat the moment your treatment is done. Might as well have just dealt with the suicidal thoughts and anxiety cause dealing with them sent me into relapses and I still owe money I shouldn't owe.
Changed my appointment without informing me. Waisted my time! Very, very rude! It seems like employees must be allowed to be rude to customers. She said the mistake was not her fault and hung up on me! Called back and asked for the office manager, she hung up on me again!
I scheduled a appointment online for 7:30Am on 11/16. When I arrived a 7:10 because I respect their time, I was told by reception that my appointments was at 10am. When I told her that the only open times to make the appointment online was 7:30am. She responded with "they" changed it to 10am. She then told me that I should not have made new patient appointment online, it does weird things. I asked if new patients should not set appointments online, why would they allow it online? She said they should not allow it, but that is not her fault. I was shocked by the lack of caring. She said it was changed in mychart, but I that I did not have a mychart account (she said that's wierd) I told her the only email I received was the one confirming the appointment at 7:30am. Before going back at 10am I called the office to verify the new time. I selected appointments and spoke to a woman. Don't know her name, she hung up on me three times. I was quite annoyed by her response to all of this. She told me in a very curt manner that my appointment has been changed to January. I said it would have been nice if you let me know this! She responded with "it's not my fault!" Then accused me of being nasty and hung up on me. I tried calling her back and very calmly asked if I could speak to the office manager. She hung up on me again without a word. I was quite annoyed by all of this, but not nasty. I guess they have plenty of business, so you don't need mine.
Answer: Because I was stupid clearly. Novant is the worst and not worth your time or money.
