I've contacted your company to return a pair of pants from my order. I've gotten no information as to how I return the pants. (I've already ordered another size.)
I made a mistake when placing the order and had to contact Customer Service. They fixed my error and everything arrived before Christmas.
Would have liked to try one size larger, but went with website recommendations for fit.
Fabulous walking trousers. Warm comfortable and waterproof
Pants were ordered November 25 and never arrived until December 28. Their site speaks of long, long order times but I am not sure why the delay. I ordered because the address was in B.C Canada. The delivery came from off shore I am sure. The pants came as ordered. Not happy with customer service. They have none. I called twice and emailed a few times.
No actual "human" interaction. Based on other reviews, I got what I ordered in the timeline given even with a storm in Ontario. They NEED a true customer service department. Based on my experience though, I do not think I would order again.
Bought as a gift for my husband, he loves them! High quality materials, reinforced knees, lined pants- great buy!
Package arrived late due to postal workers strike - no fault of Northbound Gear
Trousers are excellent with one caveat that they leaked were against my jacket when in heavy rain. They are showerproof rather than waterproof.
The Adventurer pants and "Tactical" Jacket are amazing pieces of gear that I've purchased and have kept me warm during the mild winter temperatures (~ -8°C). The shopping experience was mostly painless however the only pain point is the oddly long shipping time. Now, the shipping was free and tracked so I didn't expect too much to be fair. It might have just been me but the product was processed and sent out for delivery soon after purchase however took about 3-4 weeks of waiting before the product finally arrived. I wouldn't put this entirely on Northbound though as it most likely was just the service they used for shipping logistics.
Shipping took way too long. Initial purchase I was excited but, due to the length of time it took to receive them, the experience lost its lustre. Not excited to be on the team right now. Product was decent.
A month is a bit long for shipping. I was worried it would not be in time for Christmas.
I have worn my Northbound Gear pants in many testing conditions this year. From wild camping in Scotland to all-weather hikes in Norway, Iceland and Nepal (I completed the Three Passes trek in the Himalayas, near Everest!), these pants have been a lifesaver. Warm, comfortable and stylish, I ordered another pair they were so good. The only negative is that their water resistance reduced significantly over time with washes in the washing machine. I was able to spray them with a soft shell waterproofer that returned some of the water resistance.
Both the original order of Adventure Pants, and the replacement pair in a smaller size took a long time to be delivered. Despite getting a delivery date email, the parcel didn't arrive until a few weeks later.
The pants are great. Have kept the cold wind and snow out very well.
There was a significant delay in receiving my order, almost a month to arrive, when expected delivery was about one week, with no follow up from the company.I had a Can post tracking number but mostly there was no useful information just a msg that pkg was delayed.
Capo conforme alle aspettative molto comodo e resistente all'acqua
Happy with the product. It's well made and comfortable. Kept me warm on some cold hikes. I like that there's some give to the material, it allows for freedom of movement.
My only issue was the long shipping time. Took about 3 weeks, but it did finally arrive.
I love my Adventure Pants. Very cozy, warm, stretchy. I wear them all the time for hiking and snowshoeing.
Probably won't purchase again if they use Canada Post to deliver again. But like the waterproof jeans a lot.
Long shipping delay but probably due to time
Of the year. Otherwise great
Answer: So far the evidence is that it is a scam. Ask me in a year and maybe it will have arrived in time for next hiking trip.
Answer: China... apparently. Won't know for sure as not yet arrived.
Answer: Hi Elizabeth, I'm sorry for the delay. Upon checking, it shows that your order was shipped last October 14, however, there seems to be a delay with the delivery on the courier's end. They provided an update on the tracking information and I attached a link for your reference. https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/track-reperage/en#/details/1023038360005180 As much as I love to expedite the delivery, this situation is out of our control. No worries, I will reach out to the courier to see to it that the item will be delivered soon. Rest assured that your order will be delivered anytime soon.
