Bad Company

They said they would be here from 7:30 to 12:30 they didn't come until 3:30 then they looked around and it looked to me very suspicious then he said do you have cash I said yes they he wanted the money first. He wouldn't due job he had a deposit but would due anything till they were paid in full. I didn't even see the rug and he wouldn't install till all was paid. The customer service was horrible I call she said I signed a contract they scam me because I said I would pay cash when job was done. They said we are keeping my deposit and then they left.

If I could give them zero stars I would this company is terrible a total scam I gave them $3900 deposit my tile is still not installed and I literally have to argue with them every day because it's just problem after problem DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They Delivered the wrong tile that the salesman wanted me to buy. Come to find out they sold me a tile they don't even have! There response is incorrect they just wanna keep my deposit. Obviously if it was the right tile I would have let them install it no problem. Now they won't even answer my calls! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.! I am still asking for a refund of my $3900 deposit. If they return my money I will update. It is now one month since their salesman came to my house delivered the wrong tile missed two installation dates and now they said there keeping my deposit money $3900!Once again DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! TOTAL TRASH!

Worst Company

National Floors Direct gets ZERO STARS from me! I wish I could show that above, but it makes me give one, unfortunately!
No one should EVER, EVER do business with National Floors Direct. I had not one positive experience with this company! From the false advertisement to the awful customer service, I am so surprised that this company is still in business! One of the worst things that happened was that when their installers installed my flooring, they moved my stove (which, according to my contract, they were not supposed to, by the way!) and while doing so they BROKE the oven door! When I called customer service, they told me that they WON'T pay to fix my broken oven. Apparently, it is written in the contract that they are not responsible for damage done to appliances. When I told them that it was ALSO IN MY CONTRACT that they were not supposed to move my oven in the first place, they told me that I should have been watching them. Are they serious? If they hired competent workers, they should not need to be watched like toddlers! If their customers should read their contracts carefully, so should their workers! It has been almost 2 months and I am still arguing with them about paying for my broken oven!
NO ONE should trust this company AT ALL!

Be concerned when they want you to pay up front before job is even done. Salesman comes in and sounds like he is educated on what he is talking about... The only thing he is educated on is "being a salesman." When crew arrived, they said what salesman sold us could not be done. They also claimed it would have to be applied on top of current floor we had whereas contract specified current floor would be ripped up and removed. After 45 minutes to finally get in touch with a live person without being disconnected, they said we get no refund because we signed cancellation agreement. We replied, we did not cancel, you cannot do the job sold. They refused to get salesman on phone and threatened us because we said if it does not come out correctly we were having police come before workers left with our money to file report. The workers claimed the only way it would not lift was with extra molding. The company refused to pay for this even though they were not doing or using what they sold that would not work and told their installers to lay it on top of the floor we currently had. I had to run to store myself and buy the pieces that the company refused to pay for, which wind up costing under $10; however, that was not the point.

Worst Company Ever!

This is honestly the worst company I have ever worked with! First, the salesperson didn't know what he was doing and sold me flooring that doesn't match my present flooring. The installers never showed me the flooring before ripping out my carpet. I called National Floors Direct to let them know the color recommended by their salesperson did not match and they told me it was my fault. I wanted to see if I can change out the flooring for something that does match. National Floors Direct wanted to charge me a $1700 restocking fee to change the color even though they say they are direct to the warehouse. Seriously? I finally agreed to pay $500 extra, They said they'll send somebody out to install it. The people came about three hours later and told me they don't move electric beds. Now what am I supposed to do as a 63-year-old woman, move my king-size bed myself? This company sucks. I have no idea how they got so many positive reviews because they can't possibly be true. Reconsider before you ever hire this company. Oh- and I forgot to mention- they do NOT take credit cards and do not tell you that upfront and they demand payment upfront!

DO NOT SIGN THE AGREEMENT- 16 pages of mediation and ADR- One sided agreement - Showed up 6 hours late, no call and claim that you will pay for restocking if you cancel. Jackass who is a installation Manager rude and arrogant. Installing team in the middle and have no power. HAVE YOU EVER PAID IN ADVANCE FOR SERVICES? YOU WILL WITH NFD. Payment PRIOR TO WORK STARTING Not acceptable. Asked 6 times for my sales person to call me - never happened. When I called after 3 hours late they essentially told me it is an ALL DAY APPOINTMENT and to stick it … never again - one last thing on pricing … quoted at 10 dollars a sf which is 4 times the market price. I am a contractor was in time crunch and told them to get lost and they cut in by half. DO NOT use them installation was acceptable "all day appointment" who the eff do they think they are… too many options out there... paying for advertising with your money….

We ordered floors from National Floors Direct about two months ago and the experience from start to finish was not an easy experience and they have the worst customer service department I have ever encountered. They claim that they have a 90 day hassle free policy if the customer finds anything wrong with the floor after installation. This is a complete lie. I recently found a nice gouge in one of the planks and I contacted NFD to advise them of this. They assured me the visit will be a one time courtesy to either fix or replace the plank that is defected. This is on a recorded line. A tech was sent out earlier today and could not fix it. He then told me the plank will have to be replaced. Customer service just called me and explained it will about $600 to replace a small section and the gouge is not covered even though I was promised this would be taken care of. I plead with the rep that this is not what was promised to me and she showed zero empathy and was arguing with me the whole time. She even blamed me for not noticing this gouge during the walk through. Isn't this why there is a 90 day service guarantee? I even have a signed document that supports they would repair the defect. In fact, the whole dept at NFD shows zero empathy. This company is a giant scam and I am sorry I ever hired them. The floor was over 6k! I am going to copy and paste this report on every site I can think of to make as many people aware to avoid National Floors Direct. I have asked on more than one occasion to speak to a manager above customer service and they kept telling me there is no one other than customer service. I find it very hard to believe that a company this size does not have a customer retention/care dept. The owners of this company should be ashamed of themselves. I have requested a callback on more than one occasion from the corporate office and they have ignored me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Scam artists- stay away!
December 27, 2023

For brief recap, I had a free in home estimate on 12/16 and put down a deposit which I was told is 100%refundable. My wife decided she wasn't crazy about the rugs and wanted to cancel. When I called to certify the instructions I was directed to Franklin who was very nice and said he would discount the rugs by $500 if we decided to stay with your company. I said that could help and he sent over a price adjustment form to sign. I was still debating with my wife about the rugs but Franklin assured me the form would lock in the lower price and change nothing else in our contract.
Ultimately she decided against the rugs that same day despite the price adjustment.

We mailed in the appropriate cancellation form dated prior to the 12/20 date on our original form. This was again confirmed with 2 additional calls customer service that same day. The first representative was rather unpleasant and onerous stating we need to "follow the instructions on the form exactly or suffer the consequences?!?" This was a rather disturbing response to a simple and polite inquiry. The second representative was much more pleasant and reassured me that I was following the cancellation instructions appropriately and there was nothing else we needed to do aside from mail in the form before the 20th.

Fast forward to today and I received a confirmation call for my installation (which should have been canceled) and I quickly informed them of our situation and was escalated to "Alex" a "customer support manager" who informed me that the fine print in the price adjustment stated that I gave up my right to cancel the order, even though everything else in the original contract remained the same. He was rather abrupt in stating that there was no way to get my $595 dollar deposit back because I signed this form and there was nobody else for me to talk to.

I find these sale/cancellation tactics underhanded, deceptive, and frankly unethical.
I literally cancelled the order the same day and sent in the cancellation form. How is it possible that your company deems it appropriate to keep my money when they are not providing any services or goods in exchange?!?

Rugs installation
May 16, 2022

I hired this company to install rugs in my 2 bedrooms condo. Upon arrival at my place, (Downtairs) I notice that the rug I was presented by the seller the day of the quote was not the rug the installer brough. I complained profusedly to the installer, National Floors Direct and nothing was done, I was only treatened with a restoking fee, I feel I was taken for a ride for a much lower quality rug than the one I paid my $1,400 fee. I would never, never use this company ever again. They are a ripoff. After calling the salesman, multiple times, not even once did he returned my calls. This company have zero customer service and it seems it takes people for what they are not. NEVER AGAIN

DONT BECOME A VICTIM - STAY AWAY

By far the most unprofessional outfit, not worthy of being a company. We were victims of their favorite method of operation: BAIT AND SWITCH.
We ordered something nice, salesman or someone within switched the order and they delivered something else. Something terrible and it wasnt even the same color. They use independent contractors for salespeople and installers so there is no accountability, anything can happen. The salesman who took the measurements inflated the amount of carpeting needed by over 300 feet. This is documented by the local flooring company who came to our rescue and who we should have gone with from the start. How many other customers have they pulled that with and how many still dont realize it to this day? We refused the product that was delivered. They took it back but continue to keep our $732.00 deposit after they breached the contract. I feel this is theft. We're done fighting with them and we're going to let a Judge decide. We're just trying to warn others to stay far far away from these unprofessional scammers. Customer service is non-existent. They dont even know what customer service means. Be sure to check the BBB and other review boards like YELP, Consumer Affairs, Trustpilot, Google Reviews. Make sure you set your filter to "poor reviews". If you dont, youll see some positive reviews which were the result of bribery. Yes, they bribed these customers to leave positive reviews in exchange for a gift card! And some of them even admitted it. One last red flag is that they DO NOT TAKE CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. Cash or bank checks only. So there is no credit card protection for you.

I just added screen shots of the posted warning by the BBB. Incidentally, NFD had their business info pulled off the BBB Website right after I started sharing this info.

If I could give negative stars

If I could give negative stars, I would!
This is an email I had to write during the 2.5 months it took to complete my floors.
To Whom It May Concern,
Again I am having to try to communicate with your company's management. I called yesterday with NO call back from Alex!
On Thursday July 20,2023 National Floors was scheduled again to come and complete my floors within the last TWO MONTHS!
There were 4 additional areas that still needed tile. (Near the family room sliding glass door, family room wall between the two sliding glass doors, at the end of the kitchen counter, and at the front door).
They used the wrong color grout throughout these areas. They used a WHITE grout and the rest of the house is light GRAY! It looks horrible and needs to be fixed to the correct color.
In addition to this, there are several gaps between the baseboards and tile THROUGHOUT the house. This needs to be fixed because moisture will get under and cause damage.
The mirrors at my front door need to be fixed as they were cracked when the guys removed the tile. My hallway bathroom tile was cracked when they put in the threshold. This will need to be repaired or flooring replaced because you can't fix chipped tile!
I am so VERY disappointed and traumatized with the service your company has provided. From the beginning, I was lied to, care was not taken in my home to protect my belongings, more damage was done to create more of an expense to fix, me and my family (including my dogs) have been in distress from two months of my home being upside-down and not complete in the time frame we were told.
The mirrors and bathroom tile were not fixed. The baseboards were not caulked and sealed. I was told I would have to hire a painter to complete the caulking and sealing of the baseboards.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!
