So national floors direct promises to remove carpeting before reinstall - then sends an email text out saying to "have it fully prepped " for them or else they can leave and keep 1/3 of your total estimate for rescheduling. Very clever.
If you need to "change an order" they tell you they will "discuss when they are onsite" and then send people who cannot speak ANY English.
Nice people - but can't speak about a change at all.
So to avoid being charged for "not being prepped " I paid another worker/ and myself to remove and prep. It was contracted for them to remove the carpeting.
Refund for lack of work to prep at all? Absolutely none. They acknowledge they sent out an automatic email / text but " we still keep the money "
They also left the old carpet / pad for two rooms onsite.
The change order was not reduced in cost despite a reduction in carpet.
Terrible company - stay clear. 3250 dollars for two rooms 150 sq ft each.! Terrible service at high cost.
This company is the biggest joke! Their sales man is amazing, promise everything that customer wants to hear but they don't deliver and they think customer is stupid!
I needed carpet 3 rooms in my house quickly. Sales person came over, spent over an hour talking about how great they are how trusted company is National Floor Direct. I picked the carpet and he made me pay more on another similar one because that carpet is in stock and they can deliver and install it within a week he said! He told me a few times that the only reason they will cancel if there is a huge snow storm on the day of installation and they are not able to come, otherwise I can be 100% sure they will come!
A lady called me at 4:30pm on the day before the installation to cancel because one of the installer got sick according to them. We had about a half an hour argument and then she hung up on me. She'd never offered any alternate solution but 35 different versions of "I'm sorry!" that don't get me closer for installing my carpet on the scheduled day! The best part was, she didn't let me cancel my order, because she said the cancelation period was over! I asked her to send other installers or find somebody else who can come when they they finish their last installation and I would pay for their time, it wouldn't take more than 3 hours. She was just asking me, How do you know it takes only 3 hours? It will take a whole day! She said.
This whole story was a huge BS, because obviously the carpet that I payed extra for because it's in stock, it wasn't in stock and they were waiting for the last minute to get it, so they can come to install the next day, but they didn't get it, so they had to come up whit this "The installer got sick" BS!
So, they forced me (because they didn't want to refund my money to find somebody else to install my carpet) to wait another 10 days to install my carpet. FYI when I told her it'll take about 3 hours, she said it'll be a whole day, for the installers it took 1 hour 42 minutes from they rang the bell till I locked the door behind them! I checked the time just for curiosity.
THIS COMPANY IS THE BIGGEST JOKE!
This store has a huge selection of flooring at great prices. The service is great and they are very helpful. We love our new kitchen floors.
This is exactly what we wanted for our new home. We wanted new splashes of color throughout and the team with National Floors delivered. We'll be contacting them about the floors in our new in-law suite soon too.
As much as I love hard floors in most of my house I like carpeting in the bedrooms. I needed to replace ours and NFD literally had next day installation available. I mean you hear of such things but when it happens it makes you love a good deal even more. Installation went as expected and the crew was really nice and professional.
I really wanted the tile in my kitchen and bathrooms to be replaced but I had a budget. National Floor Direct found me the best price in our area. They did an awesome job. I wish I had the budget to do the rest of the house, but I will one day and best believe this is the first place I look.
DO NOT SIGN THE AGREEMENT- 16 pages of mediation and ADR- One sided agreement - Showed up 6 hours late, no call and claim that you will pay for restocking if you cancel. Jackass who is a installation Manager rude and arrogant. Installing team in the middle and have no power. HAVE YOU EVER PAID IN ADVANCE FOR SERVICES? YOU WILL WITH NFD. Payment PRIOR TO WORK STARTING Not acceptable. Asked 6 times for my sales person to call me - never happened. When I called after 3 hours late they essentially told me it is an ALL DAY APPOINTMENT and to stick it … never again - one last thing on pricing … quoted at 10 dollars a sf which is 4 times the market price. I am a contractor was in time crunch and told them to get lost and they cut in by half. DO NOT use them installation was acceptable "all day appointment" who the eff do they think they are… too many options out there... paying for advertising with your money….
We got our kitchen floor redone through NFD and we are super happy! They had a wonderful contractor take care of the install and our new floor looks fantastic. The floors did not cost an arm neither was the installation stressful, and the customer service was fantastic as well. I will use them again when I will be working on our bathroom.

I hired this company to install rugs in my 2 bedrooms condo. Upon arrival at my place, (Downtairs) I notice that the rug I was presented by the seller the day of the quote was not the rug the installer brough. I complained profusedly to the installer, National Floors Direct and nothing was done, I was only treatened with a restoking fee, I feel I was taken for a ride for a much lower quality rug than the one I paid my $1,400 fee. I would never, never use this company ever again. They are a ripoff. After calling the salesman, multiple times, not even once did he returned my calls. This company have zero customer service and it seems it takes people for what they are not. NEVER AGAIN
Their prices were some of the best we saw when shopping around, and overall our interactions were the best we had out of any other company. Our new floors all came out perfectly with no hiccups. We highly recommend them to anyone in the market.
We are absolutely loving our new vinyl floors. Their customer service was friendly and really helped guide us through choosing new flooring and getting everything planned. The installers were professional and polite. Great business.
By far the most unprofessional outfit, not worthy of being a company. We were victims of their favorite method of operation: BAIT AND SWITCH.
We ordered something nice, salesman or someone within switched the order and they delivered something else. Something terrible and it wasnt even the same color. They use independent contractors for salespeople and installers so there is no accountability, anything can happen. The salesman who took the measurements inflated the amount of carpeting needed by over 300 feet. This is documented by the local flooring company who came to our rescue and who we should have gone with from the start. How many other customers have they pulled that with and how many still dont realize it to this day? We refused the product that was delivered. They took it back but continue to keep our $732.00 deposit after they breached the contract. I feel this is theft. We're done fighting with them and we're going to let a Judge decide. We're just trying to warn others to stay far far away from these unprofessional scammers. Customer service is non-existent. They dont even know what customer service means. Be sure to check the BBB and other review boards like YELP, Consumer Affairs, Trustpilot, Google Reviews. Make sure you set your filter to "poor reviews". If you dont, youll see some positive reviews which were the result of bribery. Yes, they bribed these customers to leave positive reviews in exchange for a gift card! And some of them even admitted it. One last red flag is that they DO NOT TAKE CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. Cash or bank checks only. So there is no credit card protection for you.

Be concerned when they want you to pay up front before job is even done. Salesman comes in and sounds like he is educated on what he is talking about... The only thing he is educated on is "being a salesman." When crew arrived, they said what salesman sold us could not be done. They also claimed it would have to be applied on top of current floor we had whereas contract specified current floor would be ripped up and removed. After 45 minutes to finally get in touch with a live person without being disconnected, they said we get no refund because we signed cancellation agreement. We replied, we did not cancel, you cannot do the job sold. They refused to get salesman on phone and threatened us because we said if it does not come out correctly we were having police come before workers left with our money to file report. The workers claimed the only way it would not lift was with extra molding. The company refused to pay for this even though they were not doing or using what they sold that would not work and told their installers to lay it on top of the floor we currently had. I had to run to store myself and buy the pieces that the company refused to pay for, which wind up costing under $10; however, that was not the point.
Every room in my house has its own atmosphere and the floors bring everything together. My salesperson really saw my vision and helped me achieve it. The installation was done on schedule and everyone was so polite. Great experience!
I didn't fully understand what we needed when we first started this remodeling project. I am grateful that we were put in touch with a design team and a flooring installer that truly understands this part of the process. We have learned so much. And everything looks amazing earlier than we expected. I know not every project to work this nicely, but I'm glad this one did.
I like coming here for my business. They have a great selection of flooring and the customer service is excellent. Their prices are lower here as well. This is a great place to find what you want and I can say that my clients are very happy.
I purchased flooring for my entire house with this company. I was told moving of my furniture was included with the price I paid. However, during the installation I received a call from the installation department. They indicated that in order for the installation to proceed I need to pay an additional $400 because I have furniture in my house. They know I can't leave the house with out the carpet they had ripped out. We were left with no choice but to pay for them to complete
I love this store. They had a great team of installers replace my floor to a beautiful wood floor. They were on time, finished as planned, and very professional. I am just thrilled with the end results. Thanks!
There were many home projects we were able to complete this year. New kitchen tile flooring was the first of many. We ordered from National Floors online and the installation servicemen were doing the working on the installation two days later. We are very satisfied.
