I am currently residing in a country different from my origin.
I had bought 3 days back hostgator's hosting pack which was at good discount.
After 3 days of working on setting up my e store. They suspended my account and asked me for telephone bills/ passport copies/ credit card copies etc. this is what I call harassment. Some companies treat you like a wanted suspect if you reside or are a national of a said list of countries. ( and I am not talking about countries noted for hackers)
There are only very few hosting companies that understand privacy concerns by people using the www.
Www.namecheap.com is one amongst the rarest. Respect for that, and I would recommend people to join this family, as long as they have great policy that understands customers problems, as well as great hosting prices.
The customer service is exceptional. Not all staff are same, but I was lucky enough to talk to Mr Eugene and Mr bogdan. Both of whom advised me to wait 2 days, as a new better discount campaign would begin soon. NOW tell me which company would do that?! Hats off to namecheap.com I feel I am dealing with my family members.
