Useless slow customer support
I contacted them to fix the overall review of my business which was manipulated by single review from one of their team or affiliates to harm my business and drive me in indirect way to premium subscription
Cannot be trusted at all.
mywot.com team spend their entire time publishing FAKE reviews for all websites
Mainly websites that provide service or sell something.
They do this to attract visitors, as when a person want to buy something
Or a service he try to look for reviews about the products, and he ends visiting
Their website mywot.com as it has bad review.
I just want to aware people not to trust mywot.com
mywot.com itself is a scam site

As a long term wot member and site owner I have experienced wot from both sides. I did have issues with my site, but they were quickly resolved.
There are sometimes problems with manipulation, but everyone is blaming the wrong members. If you check their ratings you will see that being active doesn't automatically give them super powers. The members doing the damage don't usually leave comments, they just rate sites. It does bug me that they have this ability and I believe their rating should be lowered if they don't give an explanation.
Wot doesn't pay people to rate, they don't have the money.
Yes you can buy ratings from other sites, but it wont help you as many of those selling ratings are known to wot staff and have no power, they are conmen.
WOT stands for Web of Trust. It installs a free browser plugin that identifies every web site that comes up in a search engine with a little doughnut. If the doughnut is agree, it is a safe site. Yellow, be careful and red means stay away, could be dangerous. All the popular browsers are supported. Fantastic safety device.
The "web of trust" site is somewhat good, but I investigated many sites using this system, including my own. I find this site a little shady, because they tend to mark any site that questions "political correctness" as being a "scam/spam" site.
Very useful addon, i use this for every site i visit, google integration is awesome.
The only addon that isn't manipulated by other companies and governments.

Mywot i think is one the fastest growing forum and review site online. Many people, including myself, are posting reviews and topics that are very helpful to those people who lives online. As a review site like reviewsofwebsites.com, they give vital informations about websites through posts from an individual. To evaluate whether these websites that we often go to, are all scams and using fraudulent ways.
I like the wot system - it allows me to avoid going to spam sites that I may have otherwise gone to. I am free to use my own judgement and bypass a website if it's blocked and I still want to go. That is the nice thing about it. It is only recommending I avoid some sites, unlike spam controls in some antiviruses where they don't even give you the option to check it out.
In this time and clime of widespread cyber crime and fraud, my web of trust serves as a forum where people who seek cyber security can get it and help others by sharing experiences and inviting others.
I am a MyWOT contributor for a looong time and often rate sites there. I can't see any big problems there. There are a few minor problems like scammers rate their own site positive. And of course there are some false negatives too.
If YOUR site has a wrong bad rating you should contact those who gave you the rating and ask them to reconsider, specially if your site had some violations that you corrected.
You can also go to their forum and post your site in the 'site owners' category.
It's intuitive, easy to use and the chrome extension warns you if you open a dangerous site
