Read closely, you don't get what you think you are paying for. The first subscription basically gives you no new information, so they try to scam you into purchasing a second subscription for the information you thought you were getting in the first purchase. This is a deceitful business and should be shut down.
I came across the site mistakenly and found my information. My families information as well. Most of the info listed is incorrect accept my home address and relatives names. I have a restraining order against my dangerous psycho path ex-husband who I'm now afraid will find me and kill me and my family. I contacted the site and informed them of this, and the representative kept trying to sell, me a plan, when I haven't sign up for this site in the first place. So just letting the public know if I end up dead it will be this sites fault.
They give my address out for everybody in the world to see, I have a woman and children to protect. This is ridiculous, I should not have to tell them where I work or what I do for a living for it to be known, Hey can we just put a giant flashing neon sign in front of my house that says HEY ALL YOU ESCAPED CONVICT MURDERERS AND RAPISTS YOU KNOW WHERE HE WORKS COME AND GET HIS FAMILY... Let's be honest this MyLife is an evil company!
I enrolled for three days on their trial basis and was charged for three months $44.95. First I was charged twice for a three day trial and then when I tried to deactivate the account it could only be done by only by calling *******900 and was told I had to purchase one month for $10.95 before I would be refunded my $44.95.
The information that MyLife had on me was false and damaging. I tried to contact the company to obtain the source of the information and make corrections, but this was not possible. I asked that they remove my profile but they did not do so until I file a grievance through the Better Business Bureau. The site is little more than a grift to get someone to pay an exorbitant fee for inaccurate information. If you want information on a person, the Internet is full of reliable sources. Avoid MyLife and check your own profile for accuracy.
Good old My life. Billed not one 14.95 but two on the same day and then added another one on the same day for $80. Something. They did credit back the charges for the two 14.95 ones. I got nothing from them, and to be told I was only allowed one search for the $14.95,, which is not as advertised, and then the $80 + is too much. I have contact them, soon I will contact the BBB, the Attorney General of Az. And my on staff attorney, and I may sue. BEWARE FOLKS. Pima Council on Aging to me this one is the worst.
Hubby died, and I am trying to locate people to send things left to them. So I paid for one month to try and get address's only to be told that I could only have one inquiry after being that I had unlimited. I paid 14.65. I get the most poorly trained people in the Philippines. Calling visa and the BBB
Do not even attempt to access Mylife.com. It's a waste of your time! They collect your information by breaching your data. FTC, FBI needs to investigate and prosecute for illegal misinformation, breach, theft by deception, fraudulent use of services, overcharging, etc., Mylife.com needs to be removed from the internet! PUBLIC WARNING DO NOT ACCESS THEIR WEBSITE!
Impossible to understand contact folks. Charged twice within 5 min and contact person refused to remove one charge. He was rude, impolite, not good with english language. Gave me conformation number but would not repeat the number, continued to say let him talk and then he went silent? Asked if still there and said what can he do for me, for third time asked him to turn auto renew which is set automatically if you pay a dollar for 7 day access. In my case was charged twice? Two dollars and auto renew, now have to watch closley for the auto renew on either charge? What a bunch of total crap to get out of something each month
Charged more money and couldn't find anyone to speak English well enough.to get refund. Cancelled but later got notice I was being renewed. Cancelled again but have a feeling they are not through with me yet!
Site mostly worthless, slow and inaccurate. STAY AWAY.
My reputation score is very low Why? I can't find out unless I pay them. They have my info crosslinked with a local lawyer. I sent an email to MyLife.com. I didn't receive a response. This company is obviously run by 'low-lifes' who tell lies to sucker people into paying them money tell you who/what was said. Then, they leave the bad stuff on their site. Beware!
They show criminal records of people you "might" know. There's no way to change what they list. If you pay, it is hard to cancel.
Complete scam! And they charge you even if you cancel! Do not recommend! Plus their customer service is beyond ridiculous!
I MADE AN ACCOUNT AND DIDNT LIKE IT AT ALL AND BECAUSE I DIDNT CLOSE THE ACCOUNT THEY TOOK 44 DOLLARS OUT OF MY CASHAPP ACCOUNT LEAVING ME WITH $9.00 AND I CAN'T GET MY MONEY BACK
Stop $#*!img charging my charge im getting lawyers as we speak to sue you $#*! scammers get a life and a job.
There are many errors in their report about me. Basically it's a lie and a sham. The attorney general needs to have this site taken down and banned. They do a disservice to the American public.
I signed up for a three day Premium membership, only to find out that this is a standard membership even though it says Premium Membership. I was asked to 14.95 additional fee for Premium searches. I cancelled membership immediately. Don't bother paying anything to MyLife. You won't get your moneys worth.
This place is a joke
Just want you to sign up to see ppl and screw you out of money
See ppl on here with 5 or better ratings that are horrible ppl
Background check doesn't give you all the info it says it will but gives you enough
My advice
See that person for who they are when you meet n see what they actually do for you compared to what they say n let them prove it as well
Not just say it
Their rating system is a joke
I know
I found out this site posted ALL my personal info including the last 4 of my SSN, mother's maiden name, address, credit cards, car, photos of me, my house--setting me up to be victimized. Called and emailed asking them to take it down and they want me to PAY a membership fee to "edit" or "remove" my info. Some of the info is straight up wrong and other is defamatory. I wonder how they pick their victims?
They will RIP you off, make it difficult to take your subscription off and then blame you for it. They miss direct to a page to call them to discontinue the service so they can charge more money.
Incorrect information, defamation of your character associating you with people you don't even know. Requested listing removal twice... time to contact lawyer, FTC, etc... do the same!
Answer: MyLife has a "bad reputation" for charging customers after the 7-day trial even after you cancel your membership. It's a scam site.
Answer: It's called extortion. I, too, marvel that it still exists. Where are consumer protections? Unless it is so discredited that prospective employers just ignore it. Who would pay the exorbitant price for it, anyway? It has duped a lot of people, it appears and, for that reason, it should be put out of business. I just tweaked them with an email. Let's see how low my integrity "rating" goes down with its current 4.0, which in and of itself is a joke.
Answer: Don't bother, they will not honor the request! Create your own spam filter so they are not displayed in your inbox. If you really care, forward them to the spam dept. of your ISP. If enough people do that they will die out thru attrition. They have an $800 million judgement against them and will be forced into bankruptcy soon. Problem is they just rename the site and start again in another state. Takes being chased down and prosecuted to death state by state. Such is our wonderful legal system of loop holes letting these businesses exist and operate while simultaneously being prosecuted in another jurisdiction. Makes no sense to anybody but the scam artists and state legislatures on the take $$$$
Answer: Goodluck. It's a scam this site is completely bogus as not worth a second thought
Answer: Sadly, just like a famous rock star once said: "only the good die young"
Answer: Because it's fraud and once they get your account number they just charge whatever they feel like to your account without letting you know.
Answer: You have to contact them via email and request removal. It takes a few days. Copy the URL and reference it in your email. Google: how to delete your name from MY LIFE and follow the instructions.
