Ordered a Feider self propelled mower on Saturday inadvertantly click onto shipping address for delivery, sent an e. Mail stating the delivery address this was acknowledged monday morning, with delivery being made tuesday morning. Service of this quality is rare this day and age and would highly recommend this company
This company does Bait and switch.
I bought a Huskavara lawn mower and it arrived damaged and they refused to replace it. They said I would have to pay $120 more for the same mower because mine was a closeout. They guarentee delivery according to the website.
It is illegal to do what they are doing. Will report them to the BBB, also
I was about to purchase a mower online with this company. I went to the cart and they were going to charge me tax even though they are located in a different state. Why would I buy from a company, or should I say reseller that ships me my item in a crate that I have to put together? Someone who it will not be there when it breaks or needs repair. Someone who is charging me the exact same price as the Kubota dealer in my hometown? I would have to be an idiot to do so. It is best to purchase from a local dealer that will put the mower together for me, check it for problems, and help me get familiar with the controls... rather than buy from a company that will use another company to drop it on the curb outside my home and say BYE
I had been shopping around for a new mower for a few months when I came across Mowers Direct. Initially I was going to purchase with them because of the price they had advertised for a few different models and free shipping. On top of that the reps told me that if I found a lower price they would match it. Long story short, I decided on a mower and actually found a lower price. When I spoke to Mowers Direct again about the price match I was informed they could not honor their low price guarantee and didn't offer an explanation as to why or even give a full explanation of what their low price guarantee was. Long story short, I was going to be charged around $350 more for the mower going through Mowers Direct and then had to pay an additional $50 for their lift gate service. Free shipping right? Low Price Guarantee? Anyway, if you are reading this review, shop around, and don't get caught looking at that guarantee because it is absolutely worthless when you find a better price elsewhere.
I ordered my lawnmower on line and received it but when I opened the package no instructions on how to complete the assembly. The back wheel level did not hook when I tried to adjust the wheels. Contacted customer service who requested pictures. Called back a few hours later and they had not received the pictures. Few hours later called again they received the pictures but would not replace the lawnmower just the part that was defected. They know of the issue with the back wheels and still sent the product. Little to say I am returning and want my money back. Terrible customer service, how can they sell a product they know has defects...
These guys really SUCK - esp. "fat Jake" or "robot Jake" - REFUSE to respond to questions AFTER the sale. I finally stumbled on "Chat" on the manufacturer's website, who helped me clear it up. "Mowers Direct" is a re-seller, just like Home Depot or Lowe's. Ever try to get someone to answer a question at one of these stores? If they don't actually turn around & walk away when they see you coming, they seldom can answer a substantive question about the product. That's how it is with the "Mowers Direct" pack of slugs. They "walk away" by just ignoring you - they ALREADY HAVE YOUR MONEY!
The proverb "A fool and his money are soon parted". If you want a lesson on this proverb, deal with mowers direct.
Well ordered a brand new mower on Sunday last week expecting the next day delivery knowing it would not be there Monday but thought well Tuesday or maybe wenesday just got email on Friday saying we can confirm your mower has been dispatched for Maybe Monday delivery... maybe or not I have just canceled please dont use the mowerdirct if you need it in a hurry Not impressed. Oh and then told it will take three days to get my money back great service NOT AT ALL
I ordered a mower online October of 2018 When it arrived via truck, the driver set it in the middle of the road. The mower did not have the seat installed or the steering wheel installed. I had to hook a truck to the packaged mower and pull it closer to my garage. Once unpacked, I found there were no directions included for attaching the seat or steering wheel with the mower and no directions online... you are left trying to attach the seat and steering wheel WITHOUT DIRECTIONS. I then discovered that I was missing an adapter that was essential to install the steering wheel. I had to get the mower on the back of my truck and take it to a repair shop, order the part, and get the BRAND NEW MOWER REPAIRED... in short, I will not be using Mowers Direct in the future.
Just had a riding mower delivered buy SAIA (tracking *******358-0). Horrible experience! Paid extra for lift gate service. There was no way this poor driver was going to get this thing off the truck alone even with the lift gate! I feel the terminal manager should have known this and made other arrangements. If it wasn't for the kindness of neighbors the damn thing would still be on the truck!
I tried all morning on 3 different computers to order a new Honda mower. Each and every time I receive an error message. Each and every one different. Web-site is terrible in this regard
After reading so many bad reviews about their shipping I was tentative. I called up and verified that the Husqvarnna Lawn tractor I wanted was in stock and ready to ship. I was assured I would get it on time. So I went ahead and ordered on Sept 4. Found out today that the mower STILL HADN'T SHIPPED as of Sept 12. I cancelled the order. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM.
I ordered the number one selling medium grade mower, the Husqvarna Z254 26 hp Kolher engine last week. This week the site shows my mower not to be in the top 5 selling mowers. Makes me wonder if they assign a number to whatever they are wanting to sale or what they have in stock the most of. ANYWAY, I mowed my front yard, the neighbors front yard and my church yard (4 acres) last week. It was the first time I used the mower. I am gald to report that the mower appears to be just awesome. Thank you mowers Direct for leading me to this product. I cut my mowing time down about 2/3rds. The mower had plenty of power to run at full speeds at times without bogging down. Like most zero turn mowers it was a little rough riding but I absolutely love this thing. Good luck in your endeavours to find the right mower for you.
I ordered a zero turn mower from mowers direct. They fulfilled my order in every way. I received it before the expected delivery date. The communication was outstanding. Very pleased.

We were over charged. Sent them photos of our packing slip next to the price tag on the unit. The said they would investigate and call back. They never did. Husband called them 6 days later and they just got stinky with him on the phone and refused to refund the overcharge. Will discourage anyone I know from using them and will never use them ourselves again.
Ordered a mower with 2 - 3 days despatch. Got an initial (automated) email confirming the order, then 5 days passed and nothing heard from them. We chased them to find out they were waiting for a delivery. They didnt offer to get back to us so on day 7 we rang to tell what they could do with their order and wow it was in stock and had been despatched. However when we got the delivery company's email they hadn't picked it up for another 24 hours. So ordered early on a Thursday delivered 11 days later. It is quite obvious they are not a garden equipment specialist, but a box moving company. All they do is order in items and then send them out and they cant even do that efficiently. They shouldn't advertise items for delivery if they haven't got them. To add to the insult despite having check on line before I made the order I ve now found the mower £30 cheaper elsewhere. I don't mind paying over the odds for a good efficient service. But this was very poor. The fault lies with Mowdirect not the delivery company
Ordered a 61 Husqvarna with a Kawasaki engine and received a Briggs and Stratton. They now claim thats what was ordered not possible. With this firm what you order has nothing to do with what you will receive.
I saw many negative reviews of Mowers Direct online when shopping for a zero turn mower. I purchased an Ariens Apex 60 from Mowers Direct despite the bad reviews because they had the mower I wanted at a good price. At every step of the process Mowers Direct did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. When I called I got someone on the line who was able to access my order and answered my questions. When the mower was being shipped the shipping company communicated well and navigated delivery around an unexpected blizzard. I uncrated the mower and filled with gas and have mowed twice with it with no problems. I am totally satisfied.
Do not buy as there is flagrant false advertising that will not be addressed. Go to the store, require OEM parts and have them install it. Mowers Direct banks on you not returning it. Email me for more: *******@yahoo.com if you are willing to pass on the word
Purchase a tow behind mower online. Free Shipping was suppose to take about a week. Learned that after 4 days the mower had not been shipped. Email and later called to cancel and was told that unit already shipped on the fourth day. Emailed that evening to cancel order and next day called to cancel order. Was told by customer service manager that it cost $200.00 to return the item I never received, since it had already shipped. Was emailed by a second customer service manager and was told I would be responsible for the shipping cost of $580.00 and would be receiving a refund less the shipping cost. Filed a dispute with credit card provider and was refunded the entire amount paid. Buyers... Beware of this Vendor.
Answer: You should be. I bought mine locally and love it. The mower if fabulous. Mowerdirect.com is a nightmare.
