I wish it was as easy to close an account as it is to open. All of these online job search sites only do one thing well... bill your credit card. I what to go back to the classified ads in the newspapers.
I deleted my resume before I closed my account with monster.com. 2-3 months down the road I started getting emails, text and calls from agencies for job opportunity. When I asked how they get into my resume the person replied its from a job portal career builder or monster. I do not have account with CB.
First off, WAY too many ads. No matter how many times I update my profile, it won't update. Tired of doing it every time I log into the site. And don't sign up to get jobs emailed to you, because if you pick 'Forklift Operator' like me, you'll get jobs including custodian, financial manager, etc., etc. My email was FLOODED with useless jobs I wasn't interested in. I also chose relevance by date and distance, and still got jobs 40 and 50 miles away, posted weeks and months ago, when I chose within 10 miles and jobs posted most recently. I give up on this useless site.
This site does not have relevant resumes for your needs. Database has most of the fake ones and keywords has its limits and it doesn't give you the option to choose people based on their years of experience nor their work authorization. Worst part of it all is that it auto logs you off from the search, the moment you take a break or the moment you look at another source for a few minutes and you need to log in again and enter the details to find the right candidate. It has limited reach to candidates all over where ever available. Thus, as a Recruiter and as a Current regretful user, I wouldn't advise anyone to use this platform if you ever think this will aid you in your search for finding the right talent.
Monster.com is a fraud job placement agency. People beware, do not sign up for their services. They sweet talk you into getting you to sign up and then it is a different story. They do not assist with getting you even a single job interview though they promised at the time of sign up...
This is the worst agency and I regret signing up for their services!
Beware, Beware, Beware. Don't waste your money on this fraud company!
Monster.com is the worst recruitment tool that you could ever possibly want to have. The only applications that i have received for the multitude of jobs posted are random applications from India when the job is in the UK.
They dont have an up to date searching database - they dont advertise thier company and so there is no up to date traffic that they attract. They will blind you with promises of extra things to attract candidates that possibly would work but they dont have the traffic and so its a non starter no matter what they offer.
They will tie you into a contract that you cant get out of and will provide nothing of use.
In a nutshell, they are bloody awful... STAY AWAY
We were hiring new employees and signed up for a free trial through monster.com. We only had one applicant in that free trial time frame, so we decided to sign up for a full actual month. It was literally hundreds of dollars to get 4 applications- 2 which were not even local and wouldn't be able to work anyway. We were hopeful that spending so much for quality applicants we would at least have one we would hire.
Didn't provide service until the very last second.
Kept upselling me when I was waiting.
Eventually, just throw me a gibberish random template.
I had to pay a freelancer on another website which made a WAY BETTER resume than monster's crap.
I got several calls from an account manager named "Dyagala Sirisha" selling me premium services. After i paid 249$ i never heard anything from her or from Monster! Several calls and emails, i was told i cannot be given a refund! This company is a scam! Companies should stop using Monster.Com
Keep this name Aksa Begum. She is a true fraudulent person. Never believe what she says about resume service. Monster gulf don't exist they are a Bunch of Indian rogues. Don't pay them a penny. Definitely, you will lose it. Remember the name Aksa Begum.
Candidates are fooled because once you register paying the Subscription, you will get calls from Companies/ Consultants for a different Job Role with salary of ten times less which you mentioned in your current CTC... Very surprising... no one is there to listen and rectify or refund once paid. Vidyalall VT- *******238, *******986. Email- *******@gmail.com
Job search site, similar to Dice.com Started using it a decade ago when layoffs were imminent at my employer. Complete waste of time. Generated worthless leads, spam, phishing and at least one recruiting attempt by a money launderer. Not an effective job search tool.
Poor customer service, only trying to wring money out of you with no regard for helping you achieve your goals.
Sales people masquerading as customer support to try to sucker you to throwing more money away, avoid these people at all costs.
The monster platform is user-friendly for job searching, however the job postings are at times misleading. Also, when I receive job information, sometimes the location is so far away from the area that I am interested in or even in another state.
I opened up my profile and updated my resume, then marked to allow recruiters to see my profile/resume. I was instantly hit with a deluge of calls, emails, and texts from india-based recruiters. At first, I didn't know if I could blame this on Monster, so I set up a google phone # and uploaded that as my contact # only to Monster. All of the worst, most unintelligible calls came through this line. I receive job postings that have only a scant relation to anything on my resume, and in high volume. Going on monster will make you miserable, and in order to find ANYTHING that is remotely appealing, you first have to sift through an exceptional amount of garbage. Other sites have been much more fruitful and useful, look elsewhere first.
I paid for an advert I never was able to see the resumes. Apparently there is a 60 days expiring of your login that I was never informed. The advert still online and I contacted them but they refuse to share the applicants that applied to my job offer.
Monster will match you with any job that key words on your resume with no filtering. Looking for Data Base Administrator jobs? They will send you Administrative Assistant jobs. I also got calls for over twenty scam companies trying to get me to send my SSN. No one is verified, you might as well use craigs list to find a job. I had a terrible experience in the early 2000s with monster, I assumed they had improved in the last decade, they have not, stay away.
They are frauds, asked me to pay ******* then 10,000 also promised to return back the money if there will be any problem, after transferring the money he started asking me to pay more, n asked me the card details which are not to be shared, I asked him to return my money back, he denied to return that back. That's why there name is monsters.
Monster.com is one of the best platforms for job searching around the world and it provides a very easy and user friendly interface which makes it very convenient for anyone to search and apply for IT job and non IT. The portal has a quality database and is completely value for your money.
I used Monster years ago to find a job. There were many that I was qualified for which I did actually stop because I went on disability. There are several job sited out there that I feel are just as good as Monster.
