Contact me if you also had a terrible experience with Monster
Hi All! Feel free to email me if you like to make a court case against Monster. (Fb: Joanna M Dudziak)
The management of this company acts like they are above everyone, and hasn't even got a complaints policy.

See my story below:
My experience with Monster was a total waste of time.
Actually, I felt like I am have been working for them by clearing their database!

Before we went ahead with the offer, we were told by a member of their team that there is over 170 experienced candidates in 10 miles radius.
Also, when I mentioned that CV library is cheaper, their team member said that Monster is better as it has fresh database and applicants are recent - about two months old.
Not even mentioning the fact that apparently if I search a specific job title, with Monster all CVs in the search would be for that position Not True

Here is the reality:
11 Cvs in 10miles Radius which are 3 months old
2! Cvs in 10 miles Radius which are 1 month old?!

I have been given false information to sell me the product.

Posted a job. Used their "free trial" thing to test our their services. The day before my free trial expired I went to go into my account to cancel it since I wasn't getting any applicants, and I truly did not like the interface and website of everything. It was a bad trial and bad service.
It would not allow to log in. My chrome browser is 100% updated, I have a 1 year old PC, and I tried on my brand new iPhone via 2 fully updated browsers.
After trying a hundred different ways, I tried the "forgot password" function, in which it kept telling me I would receive an email with reset instructions. After doing that a hundred times I did not receive the email to reset. BUT, the entire time I kept received multiple kinds of marketing emails from Monster. So, nothing wrong with my email.
Low and behold I get charged $200 or so for going beyond my free trial. Before during and after I tried customer service a hundred times and wasted probably 12 hours of my time. Had to end up canceling my credit card, and then 4 months later got a letter from monster saying the charges were credited.
I did more than my part with extremely precise detail and they blatantly failed over and over again.
I think they did it on purpose hoping I wouldn't fight it and pay.
Don't waste your time. Indeed.com is 100 times better in every category and way.

Avoid!
March 29, 2021

We were contacted by a Monster.com rep who gave a great deal, $289 for two weeks advertising.
I agreed and we gave it a try. Already while setting up, we ran into a problem, as it did not let us specify the region where we wanted to advertise, when I called, they said, it will be visible nationwide.
So we posted and two days later we had 0 replies, while with the same ad we have over 200 replies with Indeed, in the same two days. So, we tried to locate our ad, pretending we were looking for a job. WE COULD NOT LOCATE OUR JOB POSTING. When I contacted the rep he said, well, we cannot guarantee that anybody will apply for the job. OK I get that, but we are unable to locate our job offer! So I cancelled, and removed the ad that I posted, and refused to pay, to us it seems the job was never posted. Now they are sending a collection agency to get the money, and I will probably pay, just to get them off our back.
They could have at least offered to try to repost it in a way that we would find our ad. My advise, stay away from Monster.com, until the spruce up their act.

I paid $139 to get my resume done by monster September 20th only to have the 1st writer never do my resume! After 6 days of nothing I reached out through email letting monster know what was going on I haven't anything I already paid I was supposed to receive my 1st draft in 5 days? I received an email back stating the writer could not fulfill my needs so they were putting me with a new writer "Tiffany H" and adding a cover letter free of charge. The 2nd writer "Tiffany H" sends me my 1st draft with banking management as my trade… Noooo I'm a retail manager! I have 10 years of experience, the writer puts 5yrs of experience. The margin and spacing were so big like a child did this. Definitely a rush job! I replied to the writer multiple times with the corrections I'd like done. The writer just kept copying the same email over and over saying thank you for the information and attaching the same resume without any of the corrections I asked for. Now it's October 5th! Still no corrections! I paid them September 20th! I reached out to customer service again letting them know what my issues are and at this point I want a refund! I'm not going to keep sending changes just to keep getting the same resume how ridiculous! So now I can't get a refund because they delivered me a horrible resume! Who does that? They do not stand behind there service at all! And they won't refund your money after sending you a bogus draft. Save your money MONSTER IS A JOKE!

Starting with i had not even applied on monster.com for job opportunities but suddenly on a saturday morning i got a call from monster.com saying i have jobs that fit your profile and we will sure shot get you in one of those. It was an R&D job and she was confident that if u don't get in the first company i will make sure u get in the second one. She asked me to send some documents like CV to her via email which wasn't even of a monster.com one it was a normal gmail id and then fill the registration fees and to do that she would have to transfer my call to one of the job company and they would guide me further. She transferred the call saying that it is one of the accountant from the company and when i asked him from where was he calling he very confusingly said MONSTER.COM and asked me to make a transaction in an online private wallet by providing me his login and password. I couldn't believe he had done that with many other innocent people as i saw many different transactions to that account.
Please this is a shoutout to all the job seekers neverrrrr make online payments to these job portals.

I wish I had read these reviews first! Their career advisor got in touch with me after looking at my CV from their site. They offered a "discount" on their advertised CV and Job Search services. The price was still very high but they promised that they would provide me with access to an exclusive part of their data bank and that with this access along with the other services, with my years of experience and domain, I would be able to get exactly the type of position I was looking for within a great salary range and within 2 months. They also claimed that they had a high success rate in exactly what I was looking for. Again, I had used Monster before (not these services) and was happy with what I got out of it but clearly things have really gone downhill since.
Since getting their services I repeatedly reminded them that of no recruiter was contacting with positions anywhere near what had been promised I would get from buying their package.

This is a scam service, do not pay them anything! Their "career advisors" from India are only interested in taking your money and the rest of the company does not care on following through on the guarantees that they promise. Only the CV service came through although given how little impact it had, you can ask if they really added any value.

They target unemployed people at their most vulnerable and scam them out of whatever they think they can get. When I pointed this out they told me to just wait, another 4 months, totally ignoring their original guarantee of viable positions within 2 months. If I had the luxury of waiting 3 times longer, I would not invest more than 34k INR to accelerate my search!
I promptly asked for a refund for a failure on their part to deliver the promised service and this is when I saw how little they care about their customer; they emailed me a long list of hoops to jump through to her me get my goal, all related to having me make further use of their services! Their customer services then feigned ignorance, refusing to acknowledge the contents of my email and sent me back to the same scam artist who took my money. Do not make the same mistake I did, they are not a reputable organisation.
Keep your money, stay far away from them and warn others!

Before signing, sales person promised everything was possible. My request was to check payment ability prior to consent for services. I was told no problem: sign first. I was helping someone else post a job, but the catch was that it was an overseas card. If unable to process payment via that method, we couldn't continue the agreement. Salesperson (Esperanza Vergara) said she understood. Made me sign under promise that my request was understood. To my regret, I realized that once signed, there was no going back and I was held responsible. The salesperson denied all agreements, said that I had signed so I had to pay. Beware this was within the same week of the agreement. Their contract makes you renounce all your rights, and overrides Quebec s basic right to stop a contract within the time allowed by law. I was caught for a year with a service that deceived me from the start, and instead of providing customer service I was threatened; she said they would send a collection agency. Then she vanished and abandoned me to the accounts dept. Then the legal, collection etc etc. A lawyer called and disregarded all the lawful actions I undertook within the lawful time in my province and country. It been half a year and this nightmare continues. Do not sign a contract, so not buy long term services... You will waste your money and time - once the sale is done, the seller gets her commission and you are thrown into a hole. It s been such a stressful situation, it has affected me psychologically, my family and has had a negative impact in my studies and my life overall. Being threatened to be taken to court just for someone to make a commission - it is just not worth it-

The monster scam
July 5, 2022

There are several types of scams in this world, but the biggest is always will be scamming people of money. The Monster.com is very much pro in doing that

What's monster.com:
1. A job portal where an end user can upload his profile and apply for job and get calls from recruiters
2. A database access for recruiters and hiring companies so that they can filter out their specific candidates profiles and calls for interviews

These are two usually happens in every job portal
But there's number 3 & 4
3. Instead of giving database/our personal data access to hiring companies they SELL at high prices to banks, nbfc, brokers, real estate agents, freelancers, insurances, fake companies, spammers, fraudsters etc
4. They ask money for profile upgrade or highlighting the job seeker profile or resume building etc they charge money and stops responding to candidates calls & emails

Monster a spam website, majority of the job seekers don't pay attention to it.
If you upload your profile instead of getting calls from recruiters, you'll get calls from loans, credit cards, brokers, real estate, insurance etc. Few of them defraud of your money.

They clearly sell our data to other agencies,
I approached an employee on LinkedIn and asked and he confirmed it too that they sell data to anyone even if it's spam or brokers or real estate, they don't care they just need money

If you don't trust me take a new number upload it on the website as a jobseeker along with your resume, wait for 2 to 3 days you start getting fake calls, spam calls from banks, credit cards, personal loans, etc

I have experienced and tried deleting my profile, after one month of inactivity and uninstalling the app i still get calls and they say they got my number from monster.com

This is a data misuse, i don't know NAUKRI.com does this but this is not a safe place to upload your personal details
Forget about jobs. You won't even have mental peace, you might lose money and time for fake job calls and interviews

Ask their employees they'll tell the truth
