FOR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE TRYING TO GET A HOLD OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT: So I was in the process of checking out and had just entered CC info, then when I clicked the blue 'Continue' button the page REFRESHED and took me back to the first step(which is the shipment part). So I was really worried because this was my first time on the Monoprice Website so I really didn't know if it was"legit" or not. As you could have predicted, YES I WAS KIND OF FREAKING OUT! I ENTERED CC INFO ON A WEBSITE THAT IVE BEEN ON 1 TIME! Let me remind you it was 7:45 at night.
I tried Customer Service and it said "no one is available to try again later" so yah now CUSTOMER SERVICE WASNT HELPING AND I DONT KNOW IF THIS WEBSITE TOOK MY CC INFO, OR IT JUST RELOADED ON ACCIDENT!
I had to wait till the next day (which is today) to talk to Customer Service, I woke up at 8:00 AM (CST) for it to be exactly 6:00 AM (PST), (That's when Customer Service Chat opens). So when I am on the chat with one of the workers, I tell them my situation and they assured me that the order DID NOT go through. I let out a HUGE sigh of relief.
So to all of those BAD CUSTOMER REVIEWS, maybe you just didn't take the time to wake up super early and go onto the chat. Or maybe the chat lines were very busy ( the lady told me, that's the most likely reason why no one answered that night). So for customers who are trying to get a hold of customer service off of chat hopefully this helps!

Their website is so limited. Unfortunately they have fair prices for decent quality items with broad selection of networking and cabling so can not go to another website for similar items. I had a stupid moment where my bank thought it was a fraud payment so they declined the charge for them. I call them up tell them about it after talking to the bank. They say they can not reinstate the payment and i had to relocate everything on their website which was over 180 different components and pieces. I am looking forward to another website who can offer similar product range with way better and intuitive user interface and customer web portal framework.

Such a Good Company

I ordered the Monoprice active noise canceling headphones with bass boost and could not be happier. I listen to music everyday and it is such a big part of my life. These headphones are cheaper than most other noise canceling headphones and still give amazing sound quality. They are very flexible headphones and they have a great style.
Additionally, the company itself is amazing when it comes to customer service. They are quick to respond and great with help. I accidentally cracked my headphones 6 months after I received them, I told them about it, and I was able to send them back and receive a new pair for free! This company rocks and their products rock. Definitely a 5 star company that should receive more recognition.

Purchased a Maker Select 3D Printer v2 on 6-22-17. Attempted to use the on-board mini USB drive. Would not load to machine. Apon investigation, found that two of the 8 transfer pins were melted and bent. No communication with the card. Stated a RMA on 6/28/17. Have been given the run around by tech support and sales that the new policy is a wait of 10 days, this was on July 1,2017. Here it is July 24th and have yet to receive a credit for my money. California should shut this rip off business down.

Having ordered MANY MANY times from Monoprice over the years, it has become VERY apparent they are no longer the company they used to be. Over the years their service and to some extent the quality of their products has regressed more and more each year. What used to be reasonably quick shipping has gotten unacceptably way to long. I recently placed a purchase for about 500.00. The purchase took 8 days to arrive (9 if you include the date of order placed). In addition, it cost me 80.00 in shipping. When I talked to "customer support" it was quite clear they didn't care. Just placed a small order a few days ago. Wont be here til next Weds... 8 days again. Time to go exclusively to Amazon. Too bad. Back a few years ago it was good prices, quick delivery and outstanding customer service. Those days are gone with Monoprice.

Order *******. Placed Feb 14,2017.

Bought some headphones. Site seemed legit. NEVER GOT EM. CAVEAT LECTOR. Moreover, have had several friends who are local djs in VA mention the same thing. The site is phony. Just buy from a reputable dealer.

I've been a customer since the beginning (2002?) I've always had a good experience until this last year. I've had to reorder several parts as they incorrectly sent the wrong items. I've been trying to get them to send me a missing piece for a fireplace mount for +3mo and they've sent me the wrong item twice. They fail to reply to email and the wait time for customer service is terrible. Most of the time you wait for 20mins and the line drops. I've tried everything to resolve the issue but they don't seem to care.

I got a Monoprice drawing tablet for my birthday and was super excited. I loved it for a while but it had spotty connections. I didn't even use it that often and it was awful when I started using it again. Then It just stopped working all together. It was with in the warranty time but they more or less told me i was out of luck. When I emailed back they just never replied. Oh on top of it all i went through 4 cords for it.

I've ordered several items from them and when the items work then they are great. When the products are defective then their poor customer service becomes evident. I've sent them a number of emails about defective products with no replies. Ultimately had to call them and even that was a challenge to get them to send a replacement. They used to have a real cost and customer service advantage but not anymore.

I have been very happy with most of my purchases from Monoprice. Prices vary constantly, which is a bit annoying. But my biggest concern was with a product that I just can't get to work. I posted a review of what I have tried and what my symptoms are. It was on their site, and I assumed it would be helpful to other people. They took it down! How can I trust their reviews if they took mine down. How many negative reviews do they take down? Mine was fair, detailed, and didn't say that the product was bad, just inadequate for my environment. I am puzzled, and disappointed.

Don't buy from them

Over the years I have bought products from them but their RMA policy will screw you in the end.

I bought a 4K monitor that was promoted by 9to5 and it arrived, I installed it and threw out the box thinking it will work. It was defective. One of the reasons I bought from them was overnight shipping.

It took them 5 days to issue a RMA. Unlike Amazon, they refused to send a replacement and then refund if I sent back the defective one within 30 days. I asked for a box. They said no.

Then lost my business, forever.

I have used mono price for many years and am very happy with the quality of the cables and other electronics I have purchased from them.

One cable did go bad after a month so I called customer support for a replacement cable. They asked me some questions and told me they would make an RMA request. I got an email soon after telling me they would send the replacement cable and I did not have to send them the bad one in return. Now that's what I call real customer service!

They are the best.

Poor Customer Service

Paid extra shipping so HDMI cables would be delivered in 3-5 days when TV was delivered. Sent email to customer service to make sure it would ship and arrive in 3-5 days. They shipped ground and I did not receive cables in time. Customer service would not answer more emails. Had to go to store and buy them. Tried to return cables with RMA number and shipping was $7.60 for two $4.00 cables. I still have the cables.

Maybe the blame also goes to UPS and USPS since I paid for UPS surepost to ship. Nonetheless, haven't received the package and is still MIA. I'll be using Amazon form now on as they have free shipping and never had this issue before with them.

I ordered a Maker Select 3D printer from Amazon and everything shipped no problem. When my control board broke, Monoprice tech support always responded within 24 hrs on business days to help me troubleshoot the problem. They even got me a replacement board after verifying that I did have a busted board.

Mixed...

Ordering was easy, even got a credit when the 3D printer I bought went on sale the next week, have to say I was impressed at that point.
And then we set up the printer only to realize that the many many 1kg spools of filament that I bought to go with the 3D printer that I purchased through monoproce aren't compatible with this specific printer, only the more expensive ones.
So they sell filament in a big reel that won't fit on certain printers but NO WHERE does it say so. Customer service wasn't helpful, he was nice and polite however, although I was told this is a common complaint and there was nothing he could do. I was told that I could print a part, hello? How about selling something that works with the other items that you sell... Or at least state if not. And the manager I spoke to, wow, now that's someone that needs some management classes. Rude, didn't care, just said, nothing we can do. And that this was a new issue he had never heard about. I will think twice from ordering from them again. Disappointing.

Tried to order a 3D printer. Input my info and the website crashed 4 times saying I needed to return to the homepage. Finally was able to input my data and received a confirmation email. 2 hours later it said I didn't put in my CCard info correctly (positive I did). Tried 3 more times and each time it accepted it, send me a confirmation email then later. Received an email saying it didn't work. Customer service can't take orders over the phone, so said to try another browser (their site doesn't like firefox) and use the Amazon pay option instead of paying directly. Tried this and I think it worked? Cost me an extra hour of time because I had to reenter the order each time and only one of the multiple payment options actually worked. Hope the products are better than the website and unempowered customer service team. Also due to the delay they will be shipping it a day later now so may not get it in time for Christmas - missed the 2pm shipping deadline by 45 seconds.

Purchased a $700.00 projector mount that arrived damaged. Customer service first appeared to be ready to assist. Three weeks later, 6 hours on hold, attempts to chat live during their advertised hours for support, we are still waiting for resolution, AND $1000. 00 credited back to our credit card for a second unit we had to prepay, and returned the same day as it also arrived damaged.

I have never in my life had such a horrible experience with a company. I would tell anyone considering Monoprice to save their sanity and go elsewhere. I placed an order on 9/7 and it shipped via Lasership (terrible company as well) on 9/12. I was supposed to receive my order by the 13th and it never showed up. I have called these people over 10 times to no resolve. I get the run around and a bunch of empty promises. I was promised that a new order would be shipped today and I would receive a confirmation by end of business day, and I did not. They state that their customer service closes at 6:00 PM Pacific Time, yet by 5:45 they no longer answer phones. Also, live chat is supposed to be on until 7:00 PM Pacific time and it is 5:50 and no one is available. I am supposed to be on a job site on Monday, which I made them aware of that and they have yet to resolve this issue.
