Had we have known EVERY game we want to watch would be blacked out I wouldn't even signed up for the free trial. Shame on me for attempting to cancel that 7 day free trial on day 8 and got declined for a refund. I guess I needed to dig a little deeper, expensive lesson learned. Since it is MLB, I assumed we could watch some games.
The only reason I even signed up for the free trial period was so my 75 YOA father who recently moved in with me could watch "his" team. How do you expect people to cheer on their team when you can't watch them on any streaming service. Bally Sports North is the only channel, and the only service that carries them is DirectTV stream for $90 per month.
Glad you want baseball to stay as the American game! Very is not even a strong enough word, but VERY disappointed in MLB and the lack of accessibility for people to watch their local teams. Even the NFL allows their games to be broadcast on regular TV. I guess we should stick with the old reliable transistor radio.
What a disgrace! It shouldn't even get 1 star, but it won't allow me to give 0!
I use MLB.com on a daily basis for scores, recaps, standings, and live streaming of my favorite team's games. Through MLB.com I follow the New York Yankees and I love it!
Wanted to watch ALDS postseason games. Watched first 2 games on FS1 on my Spectrum cable account. On the Oct 10 weekend game, was disappointed to see that the game was not available on FS1. It was only available on MLBTV. However, with a MLB account and a cable subscription, MLB told me I could get the game at no cost after jumping through several login hoops. None of the login hoops worked. MLBTV would sell me a subscription for $25 to see the game, which is not what they said in their promotion material. MLBTV is a lying, money grabbing operation that does not do what they say they will do. I wouldn't give them a nickel for any of their subscriptions. I'll listen on local radio stations.
Thought I would try the seven day free trial then I found out right away within minutes that my team wasn't even on there because of blackouts so I went in and canceled it once again right away they charged me immediately so I had my bank fix that charge and they went right back in and charge me again after I canceled everything when I was supposed to have a seven day free trial don't bother guys!
It is a great site. I can always depend on it. I always look at when games are, scores, rankings, and I look at the Astros news. Overall if you are a baseball fan this is the site for you.
The site offers a feature called "Follow Your Team" which allows people like me to watch the YES feed of Yankees' games, even when they are playing a team in my regional sports network area (in my case, Texas Rangers and Houston Astros). I had the feature for each of the past two years since it was offered. This year, there is no working link on the site to allow me to purchase the feature. I tried calling and spoke to three separate agents over three days. Only two were even baseball fans, only one knew what a RSN was, and NONE of the reps knew how to navigate the MLB.TV website. I repeatedly asked each to transfer me to someone who was familiar with the website. The best they could do was send texts to a supervisor. I was promised that someone would call me on two occasions, it's been over a week and no one has called. I tried sending a detailed email with URL links to the inoperable pages on the site. That was one week ago and although I received an auto reply ("someone will get back to you shortly") 5 or six days after the email was sent, no one at MLB has replied as of the time of this writing. The product is great! But the support leaves much to be desired. How can any company engaged in internet commerce be allowed to neglect support of a product that they're selling online? There ought to be a law. I gave this review a 1-star because the product is excellent. NEGATIVE numbers would be required to adequately express what I think about MLB.TV customer support.
Kneeling and holding black ribbon for BLM. I will never watch annother MLB game. You should have kept politics out of Baseball, or at the very least not joined with those lazy criminal thugs.
I am an avid fan of The Boston Red Sox, as well as, just baseball in general. MLB.TV to me gives the everyday fan the opportunity to watch whatever team their heart desires. Living in New Jersey the only games I can not watch them play on the website is when they are playing in Philadelphia against the Philadelphia Phillies. Which for us, all you have to do is turn on the Phillies broadcast and voila you have the capability to watch these games. My issue with this however is for the people who are not able to afford the $130 price tag associated with a season's worth of baseball. If you can, then you are able to go about your day as you please. Luckily enough I get free MLB.TV by using the T-Mobile Tuesdays deal associated with the app. I love this app because it gives you game day quality as if you have the ability to tune into your local station to watch the games. It gives me the ability to have NESN, the New England Sports Network, readily available whenever I want to see my team play. I appreciate the fact I can always see my team and whatever other team I wish, play the sport I love. If they fixed blackout restrictions and the price like many other sports viewing apps do, I feel as though they would be even more perfect to be used by the common consumer.
Joined mlb through 7 day free trial. Why would I pay for the games I want to see when they are always blackouts.
The mlb.tv app/service is a joke! Woke rob and his dei officers care NOTHING about the fans, only about money and greed! All spring i watch the games no problem, opening day comes and i have to watch THREE ads just to get the game to start! And mind you these arent in game between innings ads, these are intrusive ads that take over the app and you cannot do anything but let them play or close the app, start over, and quickly find out you have to watch the commercials anyway when you restart! Then, i paused and went to make dinner and came back, and when i clicked play, it made me watch SIX more commercials that cannot be closed out or forwarded through! SIX! And dont even get me started on the blackouts! Yeah, its easy to get a vpn and get around it, but it's also costly and an unnecessary secondary cost you shouldnt have to endure to watch baseball! So... your choices are... be treated like a sheeple while they stuff woke robs woke nonsense down your throat with extra commercials... OR... go back to being extorted by the cable companies and pay ridiculous monthly amounts to essentially get one sports cable network you want to watch... OR... watch pirated feeds online which i am not a fan of... Me? I'm going with option 4. Ive created the gravestone and my mlb allegiance is done... dead. Finished... "Here lies my baseball fandom, may it rest in peace! 1981-2024" the woke metrosexuals who cant figure out which bathroom to use can have it! They're all baseball/woke rob care about now! Just ask the people in atlanta who had the all star game stolen from them a few years ago because stacey abrams told woke rob to move the game... kind of says it all, doesnt it...?
The Marlins customer service more than sucks. I accidentally purchased tickets to a Marlins game. I thought I was purchasing tickets to a Braves game in Atlanta where the Braves would be playing the Marlins in Atlanta. Instead the email confirmation showed the game in Miami. I immediately emailed the Marlins asking to cancel and refund. 48 hours later after calling them 38 times without an answer and emailing 6 times, and contacting MLB, the Marlins called back saying they refused to cancel and refund. I'm out $250. Their suggestion was to try selling the tickets myself. The game is 3 hours from now. They blamed MLB for not canceling and refunding. MLB said that is a team policy not a policy of MLB. So the Marlins are liars that take advantage of people. My only option is to file a dispute with my bank. So, I have done that. Oh I did ask to speak to a supervisor and their agent stated the supervisor was busy. I asked if I could leave them a voicemail, they said supervisors don't like voicemails. I asked if I could get the name of the supervisor, they told me they could not share names. Absolute crap service. No wonder they barely won any games this year. Chances are their entire organization are as idiotic as the people I dealt with.
Not only does this farce constantly take you back to the beginning of the game, it then will force you to wait. Troubleshooting? Unplug your modem and plug it back in. Anybody reading this should NOT CUT THE CORD! YouTube doesn't even offer MLB TV, believing their audience is too young to care about baseball. Also, I cannot agree more with a comment I saw that there are too many dugout interviews. Even of over the air (OTA) "free" broadcasts. NOBODY cares what the manager think! The same inane questions are asked/answered. No insight whatsoever. If Gregg Popovich did not teach the networks anything about how absurd and a waste of time these interviews are, then someone in sports management who is in charge of TV and this idea, in all major sport all need to be fired. MLB,NFL, NBA, Premier league and all of soccer/futbol, AFL, NRG, and the only one who comes close to getting it right is the NHL. But stop it too. Add to that, all "sideline reporters" except Tracey Wolfson need to be fired. They increase the costs, and absolutely deliver zero information during a game. Please stop all manager and player interviews before, during and after the game! Nobody learns anything and nobody cares. We all flip over to the next game to avoid the cliches. Again, we learn nothing. We really don't care about what the athletes a re doing with their foundations because they are a farce to hire their family and friends. And on Jackie Robinson Day, we get it. Where's Larry Doby's Day? Where's Hank AAron's day? The greatest player ever. Where's Babe Ruth's day? The man that saved baseball? Why isn't number 3retired across baseball. The Babe was the Man. And everyone who has tried to sully his name as a racist has been proven wrong. Where does Babe Ruth Stand in the annals of Baseball? If the standard media has it's way, he will be erased from the sport that he saved, and worked to get players paid more. He was stifled, and threatened if he kept pushing to get black player in the league. But, You.tv sucks. As a streaming serving, it can't stream. Again, cut my costs and get rid of every sideline reporter, especially when thy have two. No value at all.
I hope every one of you morons that voted to move the All-Star game out of GA. Take your ball and go home you $#*!in $#*!s.
I bought something on sale on December 6th, I paid for it, and it said it would take 5-7 business days to arrive.
Then the email said it would arrive by December 18th. Fine, it's the holidays I can wait a little while longer.
December 18th comes around and nothing. I log on to the website and it says shipment still pending.
So I finally called only to find out that they CANCELLED MY ORDER WITHOUT TELLING ME IN ANY WAY.
No one has offered much of a reason so far, and I had to ask them what they would do to make it up to me as opposed to them offering something.
Of course the item that I ordered is no longer in stock. So I had to get something 3x more expensive for my gift.
While the people on the phone were helpful and dealt with my swearing and biting their heads off - there is no reason this should have happened in the first place. I am beyond disgusted with the overall business practice of cancelling an order (after taking money out immediately) and not saying anything.
I will be watching my bank account closely for that refund.
Women's medium sweatshirt much smaller than indicated on size chart but MLB won't allow return because player's name on it.
I will have nothing to do w a business that takes a political stance. It's not good business! Shame on you!
Honestly, the best place to observe live results and baseball news. I am using it for 3 years. Thanks for the job done and keep it on!
I look at this site more for video clips, stats, standings, and scores for baseball. I love it! Thanks for the job done and keep it on!
Even tho mariners is my favorite team, blackouts far exceed televised games. What a giant ripoff. $150 down the toilet
