MaxSold

I accidentally came across MaxSold and being an online auction guru, I figured I'd bid on ONE thing just to see how it was. I was sadly outbid but was hooked on the site and the wares available to bid on! I love how simple it is to see locations on the map, I love how easily the transaction is processed when you win, I love how quick and straightforward picking up is and I have yet to have any issues with the site or pickup (knock on wood). Will be bidding on more auctions before day end!

I have had a pleasant experience for very visit I have made to a Maxsold pick up location for auctions. The staff are very organized and helpful, in fact, at one particular pick up, I had purchased a sofa that was in a very awkward location in the house to remove. The staff helped supervise and brainstormed with us to make the extraction of the sofa as easy as possible. With a lot of skill, determination and elbow grease, the sofa was removed and now resides in my basement. The staff of Maxsold are very pleasant and beyond helpful with every experience Ive had. Thanks Maxsold! Keep up the good work!

Our auction ran smoothly and the pick up day was pure perfection handled by the team. I was so pleased with Heidi and her team. They were the first group I met when they came to the house and they were the last group that I met on pick up day. They were kind and especially efficient and they work very well together as a team. They were always very respectful of me and understanding the emotional side of selling the contents of my family home. I believe they went above and beyond. I truly felt that while they had buyers interests to for fufill, they truly cared and wanted to make this the best experience for me. It may have been coincidental, but I really liked having the same team for the first day and the last day. Heidi and her team were great!

I was new and decided to bid on something. I live in the desert and Palmdale happened to be close by - a couch aught my I so I bid on it - well I won it - i was so excited just had to pick it up. Best deal ever - better than I thought for what I paid it was a queen sleeper couch never used. Than MaxSold

My review of my current auction held by this company nothing short of an abomination. The fact that my entire Thomasville Bedroom Queen Ann bedroom set went for $5, less than two Rubbermaid wrapping storage containers, is indescribable. There are no adjectives or descriptive phrases that I can use to express the absolute outrage at this auction and the resulting income.

Yes, I signed the contact with the terms of the auction. All along I was assured that the bidding would grow upwards towards the end of the auction. Well the following items went for $1 - SIX Thomasville dining rooms chairs, my Thomasville China Cabinet $1, Thomasville sideboard - $1, Thomasville coffee table $1, two Stiffel lamps $4. Almost every item or group of items went for $1 - highest price was $50 for everyday dishes.

Interesting enough most of the reviews are from buyers of this atrocity - To get over $5000 worth of furniture for about $5 is in itself reprehensible.

I love the deals and unique items you find on MaxSold. Everything is done in the comfort of your home and you can choose to drive as little as 15 minutes to 3-4 hours or more to get the unique item you want. I like the idea of using the MaxBid option so If I don't want to miss out on something I put the highest amount in and then I can sit back and relax. I love that pick up happens on a certain day and time. Very easy to plan, if I cannot pick up then I can have my family pick it up for me. Very simple to do I just give them to receipt and directions. I like the idea of picking up items that need some TLC then I can paint and refinish to match my décor.

Unlike the eBay's of the world, there is no rating system, where users can rate the sellers. Why bother? The majority of auctions are downsizing, a one off thing?
It the item is a "working item" and they do not say "tested, in working condition" assume it DOES NOT WORK.
If the listing is for MANY similar items, and they re NOT described in the listing do not assume anything. I have bought 65+ Lp's (they were 66), where the seller pictured 6 (Stones, Beatles, MJ, Joel) and the other unpictured 59 were non-english religious albums. But one is led to believe they are pop albums for that is what was pictured, BUT it never stated that. Assume you are buying what is pictured and described and nothing else.
Don't get caught assuming or you will get burned.

This is the 2nd time I've used MaxSold and once again I was very pleased. Everything from the initial communications to pick up day went flawlessly. I appreciated the constant communication and support. The ladies that prepped for and worked the auction were AMAZING They were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They are truly assets to the Company. The support team that assisted me after the pictures were available were wonderful. I'm very happy with the outcome. I HIGHLY recommend MaxSold

I participated in my first two MaxSold auctions last week, and I am hooked! I was impressed with the detailed photos posted, and I LOVED the fact that all auctions start at $ 1! I bought a beautiful numbered and signed serigraph by Tomie dePaola (award-winning children's author and artist) for $ 17! The employees at the auction site were welcoming and helpful. I check the site daily, hardly able to wait until the next auction begins!

Outrageous premium charges, buried in fine print. These + HST charges on used items means you will pay 27% more than your bid.

And the pickup windows are 2 mins. Seriously.
Caveat Emptor

I see prices go up on Maxsold. FB is full of clutter going down in price that doesn't get seen unless you search for that specific item or the price gets slashed.

I have bought many items of quality through Maxsold. Absolutely love their bidding process. Every chance I get I go on the website to see if there are new sales.
