They loved the easiest of closing a business. Auctioned everything right down to the front counter. You save on storage and labor of clearing everything out! Wonderful people. They help you every inch of the way!
I am a buyer with maxsold. I have found their site, the auction well organized. The staff at the pickups are always friendly and helpful. While pickups can be busy and appear hectic they are well organized and efficient. Love dealing with them!
As I am an empty-nester and single, Maxsold has allowed me to replace my old worn out furnishing with quality items at affordable prices. I have also been able to get rid of a lot of the extra items that you somehow accumulate while raising a family in a quick and relatively easy manner. I have had mixed experiences with Maxsold employees but 95% have been friendly, helpful and professional. I have and will continue to recommmend Maxsold to both buyers and sellers.
I have bought items at several auction and have never been disappointed. The items were accurately described and I got amazing deals. Pick-up was so easy and safe. I keep going back to them to find great items.
My most recent purchases were mostly satisfactory. However, there was a failure to disclose damage to an item I purchased recently (a planer with a damaged cord with I likely wouldn't have purchased if I knew). Also, for that same auction, I had to wait for a very long time to enter the property, though that couldn't be helped. Most of the purchases I've made through Maxsold have been great though with easy and safe processes. I just wish there was more and better images and possibly video.
We are re-sellers and after several years and over $30,000 purchased via Maxsold we have filed for divorce over several incidence with the last 2 auctions with one giving wrong location and address (33 miles) resulting in over $ 300 wasted day and $250.00 for the purchased lot not received and the other not having several items as paid for for another $250.00.
We're done here not because of the strict policies but because of the very poor support and communication.
It's disappointing that we provided this customer an unsatisfactory experience. However, without more information and/or the completion of a refund form however, we cannot support this customer with a satisfactory resolution. They should reach out to support@maxsold.com to provide more clarity on their specific situation.
That said, it is strange that this customer indicates they were sent 33 miles in the wrong direction as this would suggest a problem not just for this customer but for another ~40-80 buyers that are typically part of any given auction pickup. In a rare situation like this, we would typically have made concessions to compensate for such an error on our part.

I was skeptical at first but after bidding and winning a few lots on my first MaxSold auction, then continuing to fulfill the pick up experience, I was totally hooked. The ease and professionalism was outstanding. The assistance available if you have questions is 2nd to none; fast and courteous. I have returned to many auctions within my travelling radius and will continue to do so. I keep some of my items and I resell on local sites some of the other items and I end up making enough money to pay for the items I wanted to keep for myself so it's a total win win situation. They are simply the best at this type of thing!
I recently had an auction that sold about $1900 in items, not as good as I hoped for. But then I receive the statement from maxsold saying their fees are $1400, couldn't believe it, the way I read the site is they would receive 30 percent of the proceeds but they had to make $1000. But I was wrong, items that sold for $1 they were taking $10. Had I realized this before agreeing I never would have considered doing this. A local auction would have charged 30 percent on the proceeds, not 75 percent like maxsold. BEWARE!
Love this company! Staff is always very friendly and very helpful... truely! Pick up times are always well advertised, directions are very clear... The merchandise/auction items listed are described in detail and pictures are also pretty clear.
I have been an active user of MaxSold for a couple of months. The website is user-friendly and all the information you need is right there. I have participated in a few auctions. Ya win some, ya lose some. It's all part of the fun. I go to pick up and there is a helpful staff at every location. I even bid on something that ended up being afixed to a house and was unable to detach. No problem, I was refunded. Items have been as described, the process is as it says. Impressive.
I have bought some really interesting things from these auctions and I am always pleased. I often thing my husband might thing I am nuts but he loves the treasures I have found too. Hidden gems at these auctions!
The term as and conditions are very clear and one can not assume. The devil is in the details. If you do not understand ask but after the fact is too late. The organization fulfills a real problem of how to get rid of stuff. And it is this stuff which in the eye of the beholder is a jewel or junk. They help get ride of stuff quickly and effectively. You use the service for that reason only. If you want to sell for a profit or to get some of the value back this is certainly not the service to use. It is a great place to get a deal but again buyer beware it is someone's used stuff that they need to get rid of. So that being said, I have personally bought several items on several different bids and have got some junk to throw out at home and some treasures that I will keep until my sons put it up for bid after I die. I found the company very professional and honourable. Keep up the good work.
When I started bidding on maxsold, I thought this was the best kept secret. Now its gettinf out there that this is the place to bid on items without spending an entire day at a live auction. Can do this in the comfort in your own home. Dont have to waste a whole day at an auction house. I have found so many things that I keep and some I sell. Either way it is keeping things out of the dumps when we really need to upcycle.
As a seller, I was very impressed by the customer service support. All my questions were answered quickly and provided all the information and a step by step guide. The pick-up day went smoothly, with everyone adhering to the COVID pickup guidelines. I would recommend to anyone interested in using their services.
As a first time bidder to an auction, i found this site easy to negotiate and make bids on. I did miss out on a couple of items i wanted, but, i will put that down to my own learning experience as i wasn't paying full attention as the bid clock clicked down. I did actually win 3 bids from 3 different auctions. I found the pick up of my new items was very easy, i even was lucky enough to have had a nice chat with all the people who had put stuff up for sale and on the last place i picked up from, i was also given 2 free items. A set of cool boot shaped shot glasses and a very large cookpot that i will be donating to our local Fish and loaves society, who provide free food for the less fortunate in our town. It doesn't really get any better than that. I will bid on other items, and see what other little treasures i can find.
I had hundreds of pieces to sell, 281 lots to liquidate my inventory: jewelry, textiles, statuary and religious furniture, in other word unusual lots. Dan and Sue, my Maxsold people, worked hard and efficiently and granted some flexibility for the specific properties of the inventory. Dan answered questions immediately on phone and by e-mail. I particularly liked not being involved in the pick up and viewing arrangements. If Dan and Sue had questions about the background of pieces they asked and always followed up. Maxsold is so easy. I don't have to bring money to claim my stuff because it automatically put on my credit card. I feel that my credit card is safe as I have never had any problems. I have won several auctions and I am extremely happy with all of my items. Maxsold is the way to go if you are downsizing but if you are looking for that unusual item for that person or yourself this is the place to look.

I have had quite a few winning bids with Maxsold, I have been very happy with all my items that I have won. All the people that I have dealt with have been very helpful and friendly. If I had an issue it was dealt with promptly and efficiently. I definately would recommend Maxsold. It's fun and easy and looking forward to bidding in another local auction.
I bid on a cabinet and contents and won.
As soon as the auction was over I noticed they had changed the lot sticker on the cabinet and sold the cabinet separately. I contacted them and their response was that because the cabinet was not listed in the description in their opinion the photographs are meaningless. Even though the lot I bid on had 2 photos of the cabinet, one exterior with my lot number on it and one interior with no shelf contents, just an empty cabinet. Nothing in the description said contents only.
Answer: The site states clearly that you must pick up your article at the specific time and place. If you cannot do that or arrange for someone to do it for you... then don't bid.
