Terrible customer service, terrible product. Dress unusable and Ugly! Their solution, donate to charity! Also they only let good reviews pass through to their website.
I was stupid and read the reviews 5 min after ordering. Contacted the company within 15 minutes of ordering, like their website says- "contact within 24 hours for full refund- UNLESS SHIPPED" well of course my order had "shipped" already, 15 min after ordering. Yet here I am still waiting. Don't be like me DONT BE STUPID
I have asked multiple times for my items to be returned per their return policy on their page. They are asking me to donate them to charity. The dresses are very thin and not what is pictured. I give them a zero for poor customer servie
Personally my order came and it was good quality and in tact. In fact it came early. First time ordering from here. Took a risk after reading all the negative reviews and spent over £100 to be honest i was pleasently shocked at how great all my items where.
I ordered a dress from here after carefully reading the return policy. ( I do this whenever online shopping). The dress came and I hated it. Of course that is Something that happens when online shopping. The website says to reach out to them to do a return. Which I did. They then kept asking for pictures, explanations, etc. Ultimately they told me I could give it tina friend. They seriously refused to let me return it. I think they are trying to stall to get to the 15 days, so then they can say it's padtvthe return window. Buyer beware.
I knew the reviews were bad but I thought I would give it a chance. I ordered their flagship item which was an embroidered dress for about $50. It did come and it does look like the picture. It also was the correct size ended fit pretty well. However, the website posting said that it was 100% cotton and it was definitely cheap polyester and it also said on the tag that it was 100% polyester. It also smelled like it had been sitting in the warehouse for a few years. I probably won't order from again but at least they tried.
I ordered two dresses from them. I looked at their return policy ahead of time-it tells you to contact them within fifteen days, which I did the DAY I ordered. They take a solid 24 hours to reply to each email. They told me I should just gift the dresses to a friend, but so far they haven't given me any information as to how to return... they don't want to. Neither dress had tags and the one dress had the size tag cut off as if someone previously owned it before and cut the tag off. They asked for pictures... I gave them everything they needed but they REFUSE to help remedy the situation. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I don't even want to rate them one star, they don't deserve it.
I ordered a dress and I wasn't happy with the fit. It was too sheer for work. It would not have been an issue but they gave me a hard time trying to return the item. I was happy to pay the return shipping because that is what the site said. They repeatedly asked me to send pictures of measurement and the fit. I had already gotten it ready to ship and did not want the item. There was no reason to take the time to try it on to take pictures. I just wanted to return it. It took 8 emails for them to let me return it. It was a huge hassle.
This website is a total SCAM! The dresses are very poor quality and run very small. Dresses DO NOT match the descriptions whatsoever. They prolong responding regarding returns and ask you to send photos of the items received then say they can only be returned to China which costs more than the dresses value. They didn't originally ship FROM China so why would I return them TO China? Total SCAM! I am soooo disappointed
I ordered 3 dresses; all three were billed as 100% cotton. 2 are clearly labeled 100% (cheap) polyester and the third has a cheap polyester lining which was not mentioned. I tried to return them and here I quote from their emails:
"From the photos you provided, we can't check what's wrong with the clothes." [included where shots of the 100% polyester tags!]
"We are sorry to hear that, but as our policy states, our customers are responsible for the returning shipping fee if they want to return/ exchange the item because the item they choose did'n meet their expectation.So maybe you will need to know about shipment fee to Nanjing city Jiangsu province in China."
[the package I received was sent from a California address, about which they responded] "We shipped from China, CA is just transfer station, the return shipping fee is very high, it will cost you about $35, so we suggest you take the $5 refund"
And for more background: "Would it be a considerable solution if we refund $5 to your payment account as compensation while you keep the items and send them to your friends or Charity as a gift? Normally fully refund require too much time (about 1 month shipment + 1 month accounting issue). We usually offer credits or partial refund as compensation which is way faster an easy."
I am currently working with PayPal to get my money back.
Looking at the other reviews, it seems that this company does the same thing over and over. I ordered a dress and some pants. The dress was 100% polyester, but listed on the website as 100% cotton, did not match the size chart, and the colors were totally different. Same thing with the pants. Of course they would not let me return (which should be illegal) and offered me a small refund ($10 when I paid over $60) that I have yet to receive. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!
Do NOT buy from here. The clothes are not what is in the pictures and they do not refund fully. Don't waste your money
The dress I ordered (PURE 3/4 SLEEVE PLEATED PRINT DRESS) was an utter disappointment. The quality was cheap looking, and the dress looked orange even though it was supposed to be a red color. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing it.
Threw that $40 into the trash.
I bought the VNECK LONG SLEEVES BELTED MAXI DRESS IN RUST and the sleeves are extremely large. Im usually a large but this thing fit like a tarp. The day that I received the dress I immediately contacted them and told them it was too big and I wanted to return it and get a refund. This is the message I received:

I had the worst experience here. I found some dresses I liked for my wedding I was going to use for my bridesmaids. I ordered them months in advance and got an email that said they arrived. I got home to find only one of the seven dresses I ordered had arrived. I reached out to them saying I needed the other dresses ASAP only to find out they were now out of stock and it would be a couple weeks until they were back in stock. I thought I would have enough time before my wedding so I decided to wait until they restocked which they did about two weeks before my wedding. I had emailed them multiple times at this point saying to cancel my order if they hadn't shipped yet, and a day after my 3rd email, I got a shipment notification. The rest of the dresses arrived the day I got married and were THE WRONG DRESSES. A completely different color and pattern than I had originally ordered. I emailed them to say I wanted to return all of the dresses for a refund. They instead offered me 5 dollars compensation and said I could keep the dresses. After months of emailing them back and forth saying this wasn't acceptable and I wanted to send them back for a full refund, they still wouldn't budge. I got them up to 40$ of compensation. I literally asked to speak to a manager or supervisor 5 times so that I could figure out the return process. Nothing. Sometimes I had to email them multiple times about the same question and they still wouldn't work with me. I finally got my bank involved and got a full refund thankfully. But this was honestly such a headache and such a huge stress around an already stressful time of planning a wedding. Never ever shop here. They are terrible to work with and shipping times take forever. 0/10 would recommend.

Cheaply made knock offs. They are completely ignoring my return request emails. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
This company is fraudulent in every sense of the word. I ordered 4 items over $100 when they arrived they did not look at all like the pictures. They were cheaply made with cheap fabrics, the colors and patterns were all off, and the details were horribly amiss. For instance one dress had a front tie around the neck and the tie strands were so abnormally long they ended around my upper thigh. One shirt had ruffles on each shoulder that were obviously crooked and didn't match.
I contacted Mauve Desert to return the clothing and while they were quick to respond, using broken English they first asked me to take pictures of all of the items. I questioned this as it was a pain to take pictures and have NEVER been asked to do that before. They said we could not proceed with the return without the pictures so I obliged and sent them. The next email From Mauve Desert was that these products came from China and It was very expensive to ship to China, so would I consider donating the clothing to a friend. I replied No I wanted a full refund. The next email said, it was very expensive to ship to China, would I accept $5 as a refund and donate items to a friend. I have sent no less than 10 emails stating that I WANT A FULL REFUND all the replies have been the same offering me $5 several times, then they generously upped it to $7 several times. Yesterday I sent my final threatening email, I spent over $100 in clothing from their company and want a full refund or else I will report them and post everywhere that Mauve Desert is a fraudulent company. This was the reply this morning:
If you feel that $7 is less, how about $10?

Unless you like spending money on cheap crap that you will never wear and cannot return, DON'T ORDER FROM MAUVE DESERT. This is a SCAM of a company and they should be shut down from doing business in the USA.
Answer: Absolute Scam! Poor reproductions of real items with no chance of a return on your money unless you go through PayPal.
Answer: Their clothes looked nice in the photos and the website looked legit. In hindsight I now know to find a US address on a website before making any purchases from anyone. Their clothes are crap and they lie about taking returns.
