I like mate1.com its simple to use and its good fun. You can rely on it... it has good customer service and a good reputation... Personally I think it's up there with wejustfit.com at the pinnacle of the online dating sector.

Mate1 is packed full of fake female profiles by scammers in africa. If Mate1 has ANY redeeming value, it's that you will see so many fake female profiles that you will learn to recognize the fake ones right away. 9 out of 10 "a new match for you!' emails from Mate1, and those messages in your Inbox, will be fake profiles by scammers. Thanks to Mate1 I can usually recognize the fake ones simply by the nicknames on the profiles. And I've learned the names of several American internet porn models because the scammers so often attach those porn stars' pics to their fake profiles. I've even seen profiles on Mate1 with pics of Sofia Vergara and Brittany Spears. Don't waste your time on Mate1. If you do, don't give them a penny of your money.

One of the first contacts I got was the same scam I get on Facebook. Widow, stationed in Afghanastan on peace mission and will return in one month. I cancelled less than 24 hours and now they won't give me my money. I'm going to BBB and consumer protection and putting all this information on My Sharon Rose Facebook page. Youtube and whatever else I can to get the word out. Scammers on this site. Sickening. And that they have an email system you can't tell they got back to you because it comes back on their robot email stating don't reply to this. I will not stop til I get my money back or save everyone from this site

Portrayed as a officer of the Army. Saying all the nice things like a lady wants to hear. Thought something wasnt right when I couldnt find after doing a background check. And never could produce any pictures, but the one on Mate1. Then started to Ask for money or i tune cards asking all kinds of thing but when you call them they don't answer they say cant use the phones in Africa on dangerous area. Then say NO to the money and iTune card. Started calling me stingy and no worthless. I actually went to the Army and asked questions. Said they here it several times a day. Scamming. Had a good date in my 2nd or 3rd week but things have dried up a bit since. If I compare with the other site I use (wejustfit.com) I'd have to admit that WJF wins cos ive had more dates and even met someone that I was seeing for a while on that site. Bottom line is both sites are good and if you can afford to join two, you could do worse than those. And if you get a chance with a nice person grab it with both hands. Good luck:-)

Thanks to all the poor souls who have had a bad time with this site, who have submitted there warnings, I get gazillions of these sorts of emails in my inbox everyday, click on 1 out of curiousity & blammo you get inundated,& I do feel sorry for the people who have been conned,& you can also be conversing with bots,& I expect the glowing review on this forum has been submitted by an agent of this company, it is not just the other users who are dishonest the whole set up is a conn, all I can suggest is to subscribe to sites like eharmony etc a bit pricier but at least you know it is legit & at the very least you are not getting desires with a sophisticated piece of software, or people just after your money ps no I am not an agent for eharmony or match.com etc be careful out there.

I haven't logged onto this site in over a year & all of a sudden I get a text from two different people saying they got my number from this site. The only time I've been on this site is when I signed up & I haven't been back since because it looks so boring. I haven't talked to anyone on here but somehow someone got my number? I don't remember putting my personal cell number on this site & even if I did, it shouldn't have been given out! The guy who texted me posed as a girl looking for a friend, but then told me he was a guy, sending me sexual texts. SCAM CENTRAL. STAY AWAY
