Most popular dating site - I think this is probably THE most popular site out there for internet dating, but I have actually had better luck using craigslist to find new boyfriends than match.com. I think there are quite a few people on match that are no longer "single" but they just keep their profile up. The problem is that if they are not actively looking then they don't always bother to log on to their account. Craigslist is good because at least you know the people on there are actively looking for a date. But I still like Match.

Watch for: widowed, has immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland, France, etc., has a child who lives outside U.S., travels for work, involved in mining. Lives in a small town most people are unfamiliar with.

Grammatical errors, seems to forget what you've told them and avoids answering all your questions. Compliments your writing style.
Won't answer specific questions about where they live

Ask them this: Where do you like to eat/ walk/run/bike/fish/camp in (their hometown)?

What genres do you like to read / watch? Tell me about where you grew up.

DO NOT switch to email or texting or phone calls upon their request.
Report them through Match customer care BEFORE you let on that you suspect them. Otherwise they disappear b4 Match can block them.

The site itself is fine, but not as good as many others I've tried. However, the billing is a scam. They automatically sign you up for auto-renew. Fine, I knew that. So I cancelled a few days before the end of my subscription, or so I thought after filling out several pages, and hitting "continue with cancellation," several times. Only to find out due to a slow server, I didn't hit the "cancel" button enough times, and my subscription was not officially cancelled. I only learned this fact when my card was billed again.

It is extremely difficult to unsubscribe from this site, and the site itself is only mediocre. Go for OKCupid or any other site, and save yourself the trouble.

Complete scam. Have not logged in in over 4 years - have been charged $119 per year every year. Customer service quoted contract terms I never read - refused to refund the charges - complete lack of customer service. Offered to refund 15% of my fees. Completely unacceptable --- what kind of company charges recurring fees for someone who does not log on for 4 years. Criminal behavior - filing complaint with Texas Attorney General. Avoid - never produced any results and was a total rip-off when I was trying it out --- completely unacceptable to charge unwitting consumers year after year after year after year after...

So I wanted to use match because I was tired of guys from POF and tinder being disgusting and shallow. I'm a 5'11 black woman and that seems to scare men off. So I decided to sign up for match and I was there for 3 months and only one person talked to me and wanted to be friends. And he ghosted after a while. I really did feel like I wasted my money because it wasnt worth trying to talk to all these guys just to be ignored in the process.

Wow, what can I say except I feel like a fool. If you read all the reviews that I just read, you will see why it is really stupid to get involved with this site. It lead me on, it tried to learn as much as it could about me, and when I accused it of being a robot, it got mad at me even after it had been calling me "dear". It claimed that "she " was an artifact dealer here from Dubia UAE, what a joke, except that it was on me. Now the site leaves me alone. Don't go there, unsubscribe immediately!

As a male, you'll find maybe 1% of the profiles are active female accounts. When I let my subscription end I started to get spammed with all sorts of likes, winks, and interests. None of these women existed or responded during my subscription period. When the subscription ended a few hours later it said I had multiple new messages waiting for me...

It's a scam tactic that goes hand and hand with it leaving inactive accounts up and in the search rotation/results.

I met Bruno 3 years ago. He has schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and narcissistic tendencies. He mentally and physically abused me and was charged with 5 counts of assault. He also verbally and sexually abused me and treated me with complete disrespect. This man is very sick and dangerous. He appears to be charming and friendly but he is not. Please ladies do not engage or get involved with this man He will hurt you and destroy you.

This site is for sure successful if you subscribe. However, I give it a 1 star because all the women on this app are emotionally damaged. If I was looking for a quick $#*! I'd of stayed on bumble. I thought this was for adults who knew what they wanted? More like mentally damaged women who don't know what they want and just waste my time. 10/10 girls I met on here I slept with but also just weren't ready for anything serious. So I guess it just depends what your looking for and my opinion is jaded because I want something real.

If you don't want to get in the trap of going round and round in circles trying to cancel your subscription and stop Match from charging you - just don't get started with it! I came to the conclusion that most dating sites which try to sell you long-term membership ( like Match) only tend to be scam sites that prey on your money. They have only one task to make you purchase this membership and then it doesn't matter if you like their service or not. So they use fake photos, stolen identities, chatbots and a few hired chat operators for good measure just to entice you into paying.

Not only does it not live up to the hype, few if any matches. But I cancelled the subscription 2 weeks in, but they won't let me out for 3 months. They want me to pay whether I use it or not. I had tried this site about 3-4 years ago. It wasn't good then, but I figured I'd give it another shot. Boy was I wrong. Don't waste your money, because that's exactly what it s. Money down the toilet!

The site's customer service and billing department is Horrible, in the process of trying to cancel my membership due to a busy work schedule, I received a confirmation of cancellation on 8/21. The next month I was billed again. Seeing the charge and not understanding why I went to the customer service help. The person (Grace. T) who was supposed to help said in the beginning of the conversation they did not see any request to cancel. After finding the email and confirming that I have the proof, she said she THEN found my request to cancel but yet somehow the next day it reactivated. Given I have no email confirming that, and the possibility that she missed something, as stated with NOT SEEING my cancel request. I find very little trust and honesty in this service. Worst customer service I have ever received.

If you are looking for a narcissistic sociopath then match.com is the site for you! Lots of good looking con artists to choose from. I contacted a very attractive lady in Bishops Stortford who I quickly built up a great rapport with before deciding to meet in person. We met, got on brilliant and continued to see each other for the next few weeks. She seemed equally as besotted as I was, asking me to move in, set up business together etc etc. I really thought I had met the 'one'. Unfortunately I discovered she had never deleted the app from her phone and was still secretly messaging another woman. I was then cast aside when it turned out the other woman had more money than me and was in a better position to fund an exotic lifestyle. Like I say, best site to join to meet a narcissistic sociopath...
