Cancel the card you used when you joined.

Charge back on the card. Tell your credit card company that you cancelled your subscription and are expecting a refund of a portion. Tell them you've tried to call several times but nobody has returned a single call. They will check on your claims and will have the same problem you had and refund you in full. Match will be charged 35 dollars minimum just for the chargeback and then they will have the money removed from their account. Play stupid games, you know what you win.

I have learned that canceling your subscription does not remove your card if you are not replacing it with a another card, this was told to me today when I request card on file to be removed, the Rep name Denny inform me that match.com policy does not allow her to removed customers credit cards from their system, I was appalled that my legal right was controlled by a dating site, if a client request removal of a credit card match. Com should comply don't you think? It's like you owe them any money!

Wow! Match hides this, but it's not as bad as others say. Go to your profile on the main site (I don't know how to do it on the mobile site) In the upper right hand corner next to your profile avatar is a gear. Wand your cursor over the gear and click on settings. This will take you to a page with Change/Cancel Membership link. Click that link. It will prompt you for your password. Enter it and you should be on a page that allows you to stop your autorenewal and/or cancel your account. I stopped autorenewal on my current subscription in March and have 7 days left of my 3 month subscription. For peace of mind, once you've turned off autorenewal, print that page in a pdf and save it. Then go back to settings and look at your subscription status. It will tell you how much longer you have on your subscription. BTW, if you're not subscribed, hide your profile or you'll continue to receive messages and alerts. That's infuriating. I hope this helps.

Make certain to call and to fill out cancellation prior to renewal date. State to them this is a cancellation that you want them to take note of and inform your credit card company there is not to be any more transactions to Match.

I agree with the above cancel your credit card and get another one or you will get billed forever. Frankly I do not know why the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has not sued the hell out of these clowns...
