Deceptive practices, they should be investigated and execs indicted for activities like this. This company is a complete scam, beware, our experience has been consistent with others... watch out!
Do not have right billing website on automatic billing to my checking account cannot find website they put on my billing www.mags.comNY
I ordered nearly two months ago. No updates. They don't answer calls or email. I filed fraud with my bank.
I got magazines free by using some of my airlines miles during the pandemic. Fig'd have lots of time to read them so happy to get at the time. This year they renewed without my authorization and somehow got my credit card # to bill them! PEOPLE WATCH FOR UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES ON YOUR CREDIT CARD!
Mags.com got ahold of my PayPal from when I made the mistake of buying subscriptions from them through my frequent flyer miles program: Since then, they charged me small sums three times last year and now suddenly four larger sums (around 20-25 a crack), all without permission, all set up as "automatic payments". Be cautious. I never agreed to ongoing subscriptions with them and yet every 'free magazine' I've got from frequent flyer has been that without my knowing. They're thieves. Am undergoing PayPal dispute and have cancelled them all by hand but this is a warning. I did NOT buy any ongoing service with them. Each was supposed to be a one-time shot for a set number of magazines. I had to go to their own site, create and account to see my 'subscriptions' and cancel each by hand. They try to con you into sticking with it and coming back later to cancel in order to get all you paid for, or you can just throw money away on the new amount they just charged you and cancel now. Just not right.
No notifications of when these subscriptions are up for renewal. Worse, even when you do cancel these subscriptions, it sometimes won't take.
It's been 2 weeks, no mag, no contact and unfortunately leaving my Dad with no present. Disgusting behaviour.
I purchased 4 subscriptions at $2 each from "Healthcare Alliance" doing business as Magazine Discount Center billed as mdc.com. A year later without notification I was charged $22-32 for each subscription by Mags.com + MyLife + 4YourHealth Brands doing business as magcustomerservice.com. They bill each magazine on separate days to make it difficult to detect the charges. They use multiple company names so it is difficult to compare to the original subscription purchase. There is absolutely no notification before the renewal date or warning of the amount they will charge. After the first renewal for $22 for Car and Driver, I immediately called to cancel, complain and ensure I was removed from their system. The next day I was charged $32 for Wine Spectator. I called again to complain, but had to register online to get proof all subscriptions were cancelled. To view the subscriptions online, they require you to register a new account with long list of fine print allowing them to use and share your personal data, including tracking your browser activity and online purchases. They know exactly what they are doing with multiple layers of grifting.
I signed up for a deal on 4 subscriptions. As it turns out I have not had time to read them. I filled out cancellations on line several times. Yet they went ahead and created four different charges on Paypal. Each appeal there is complicated.
I was stymied by the bot when calling mags.com. It only wanted a landline which I don't have. Then it's asking me for my name in a subscription and it's not finding anything I finally ignored it and just went through pressing zero and reached someone he agreed to cancel them although I said I've been trying to cancel them and then starts doing a lot of double speak about re-ordering and then canceling and getting mine for money back and I would tell him no I just wanna cancel it and get my money back I don't want any more subscriptions and he would start presenting different options which can confuse the whole thing. So I said I just wanna cancel it and he did and he said the credit was gonna be for $54 I said this is about a week after the renewal. So that the most you would've been able to send would be 1/12 but you're holding back a third of the money he started giving all sorts of doublespeak and then I just said forget it I would deal with it from PayPal
They are scammers! I didn't authorize any purchase at all and I was going through daily bank statements and found that they charged me for a subscription and some magazines which I never even received them (if I even did want them). Overall A SCAMMMMMMMMMM
Got a gift card from a car dealership for this site used it to subscribe to several magazines. I read fine print no where did this say it auto renews. My original cost was $20 they just renewed these all at $17 each for 5 magazines. No permission was implied or signed I am going to fight it and going to report them to every site possible about the fraud.
Did not receive any. A scam. I expect a full refund as I will contact PayPal for their support against your fraudulent practices
Fell for it and ordered four "promotional and free" magazines and paid $2 each for shipping - and received none of them.
I have tried to send a msg to customer service to cancel subscriptions…. IMPOSSIBLE! DO NOT deal with this company!
