Just another scam outfit. Will not accept legitimate promo codes, will not answer inquiries and play with the checkout procedure adding cost (after) you pay (which is illegal) and if stung join me in complaining to The Consumer Protection Agency. It does not take long and if you do not, not only these scammers but all of them will continue to pull there crap. I just came back from using this purse in Europe for a month. It is the ValultPro Waist Pack. At first I didn't think it was able to what I needed. However, it turned out to be a great purse for travel. I had my hands free and when I got to my destination I simply pulled out the water holder and it worked like a charm. I also liked the area were all the cards I needed was, as well as having a place to have a pen handy without rummaging through the whole purse. The only thing that I didn't like was that the strap was too long for me.
On July 26th I placed an order for compression socks, which I needed for a trip to Greece, which left on September 9th. I also ordered a pair of socks from Bombas (which arrived in a matter of days). After about a month, when I hadn't received the Magellan's order or been charged for it, I forgot about it, since I already had socks for the flight. On October 1st, once I'd returned home, the Magelllan's socks arrived. I immediately put them back in their package, applied the label provided and mailed them back USPS. When my refund appeared (3 weeks later) it was for $19.00, not the $31.27 I'd originally paid (which included free shipping). I was never given the option of paying for return shipping, which would have cost about $1.00 based on weight. When I checked their website it states that $10.95 will be deducted for shipping on return orders. They actually deducted $11.99. With all the merchants who provide free shipping these days, under the circumstance (waiting over 2 months for a pair or socks!), I feel like this fee could/should have been waived. But no. When I called Customer Service I got nowhere. So I will never be shopping at Magellan's or Travel Smith (same company) again.
My mother gave my husband a 50 dollar gift certificate. I have NEVER had such a hard time using a gift certificate. First of all they are crazy expensive and don't have that much available. Finally I decided on two things to order. There is no way to order online with a gift certificate. When I called the first representitive said they didn't have them and transferred me to customer service where i got disconected from. The second time I called I got disconnected. The third time I got a customer service representative and it took over a half hour to order two items because he kept making sooo many mistakes, including telling me that it was all on my card and forgetting to take the number of the certificate! I had to give my card number so I didn't try and use the certificate twice. I am very suspicious. I hope I get the items and that they are not charged to me. Never again.
They add extra shipping which doubles your bill but not until checkout. Once you have paid, you can't undo it. I tried twice to cancel through Customer Service with no response. Dishonest!
I was wary after reading bad reviews, but I am very happy with my purchase from Magellan's. The products were delivered in a timely manner (within days of the order). The shirt, pants, and wallet all seem to be of great quality. I docked the review 1 star because we did not receive any emails to confirm the order or shipping. I had to call customer service and check the website to see the status of the order. Customer Service was friendly. All in all, this was a fine buying experience. I would use Magellan's again.
I recently purchased something from this company which I ended up returning. It took 2 phone calls and 6 weeks to get a refund even though I had tracking information and a signature. Will not order from this company again. Will stick to Travelsmith.
Magellan's product quality has gone from good to absolute trash. God help you if you try to return and get your $$ back.
I ordered a Phone soap from them on March 12 that they showed was backordered for a few days. They did not ship it in March, nor April, nor May, nor June, nor July. They continued to list it on their website with many different backorder dates. I contacted them many times, but they never said when they would ship. It seems the problem is they raised the price, after my order, so they were shipping to people who paid the higher price, but not their oldest orders. Not honorable! On July 13th they informed me that the item was no longer available. Not true, they continued to have it on their website. I had been a customer for more than 12 years, but not again. They are not reliable nor trustworthy in my opinion.
My son has been trying to get help his whole adult life and I've been trying to get him help since he was 14 and they don't listen to what your needs are they don't send you to the appropriate facility so you never get the help that you're supposed to today I tried to call and talk to three different employees one hung up on me that would be Miss Lisa from down south and she was like Miss Debbie and then there was an Alicia and she said she couldn't do anything because my son wasn't right there but he's in the hospital so he wouldn't be right here with me and then the last one hung up on me because she said I refuse to give her appropriate information when I was telling her I had the Social Security number she over talked me and then hung up on me I don't know what kind of a joke of insurance this is but if you're looking for mental health Magellan is not I repeat is not the insurance you want to get they have the worst therapist the worst psychiatrist and the worst psychologist. They don't care it's a shame that Keystone Mercy still on has them as their mental health on the card I am going to be contacting add them because if my son dies I'm going to sue every single person that I talk to and then you have to live with the fact that you work in a mental health facility insurance and don't give any Karma is a $#*!
I placed a $282.00 order on Aug. 14,2018, which included shipping charges for what they called "expedited shipping - 2-4 business days". Today (Aug. 20) I checked the status of the order online, as it hasn't been received yet and should have been delivered already. The link sends me to a FedEx tracking number which says it should be delivered by the evening of Aug. 23. Hello?! I am traveling to Europe early on the morning of the 23rd! Hence, the expedited shipping request I paid for! When I called to inquire, I reached a call center in the Philippines. After much back & forth (in a very heavy, hard-to-understand accent) with a clerk and then his supervisor, I asked to speak with someone in the U.S. in their customer service dept. When I talked to the U.S. rep, she basically just hemmed and hawed and then blamed it on FedEx. YOU, Magellan's, as a company, are responsible for your shipping company choices, if that is going to be the excuse you give your customers! You also need to be honest and very clear about your shipping costs and policies. The customer service rep also refused to pay for the original shipping when I told her I would be sending it all back, as it isn't coming in time for me to use the items on my trip. Their ineptness and poor business practices shouldn't cost me money! You can bet I'll be using Travel Smith or some other company in the future; save yourself the aggravation and avoid this company!
Very clean and easy site to go to. They have great products too!
