They do state that you have to cancel your subscription or you will be charged monthly. I ended up deleting my account instead of unsubscribing. It was definitely misleading and confusing. HOWEVER, they were quick to fix the problem and refund my money. I appreciate good, quick customer service. The resumes do look really good, but also keep in mind: it's free to design, but not to print or download. This company has definitely been stepping it up.
I had an issue where I had not used my account for several months, and had even accidentally signed up for two different accounts without realizing it, and hadn't cancelled them properly in all of the confusion! The person I spoke with was very accommodating, explained each step of the process to me and ensured that I was able to receive a refund for the very confusing fees when I hadn't continued using Live Career's services. I was so pleasantly surprised to not have to jump through hoops to get back money I deserved to have refunded! Thank you!

I noticed I didn't cancel my subscription to Resume Now. I let the time lapse. The service rep David Bernudez was pleasant and cancelled my subscription, no problems. I would recommend this site for resumes it's awesome. Really helped, since I've been a stay at home mom for 20 years.

I subscribed to the trial and then cancelled, receiving a confirmation email of this. I then proceeded to be charged via the auto monthly subscription.
Going online, I was told that in fact, they couldn't find my account as there was no account attached to my email address or card charged. Apparently there is a difference between closing an account and cancelling the subscription.
Which seems bizarre if I have received email confirmation of the cancellation, and no longer have an email or account on their records so how do they expect me to both use the system, or log on to cancel my subscription?
Ridiculous logic, poor customer service and overall very frustrating. Would not recommend.

Deactivating an account means you will not be able to access any of your resumes, cover letters, or emails, and this action cannot be undone. However, cancellation stops the auto-renewal.

I would actually rate this 0 stars if I could! This company basically scams people into thinking they are only paying $3 for a 7 day period because that is the part that is in huge print and then in tiny print that probably no one sees it says they will bill you $35 a month if you don't cancel! So I didn't see this part and I got no other notifications and then I saw this taken out of my bank account. I mean come on!? Okay yeah I can see a monthly payment for this site, like maybe $3 a month! It is only a template site, for $35 a month?! And not making it upfront and clear for people to read?! I don't even pay that much for my gym membership! These people should be ashamed for misleading so many people and it is most likely people who don't have a lot of money because if they are creating a resume it means you are looking for a job and need money! Shame on you people!

Apparently I signed up for a monthly membership but did not realize it - but when I saw the charges on my credit card and called to inquire, the customer service rep was super responsive and professional and friendly to explain everything as well as promptly issue a refund to my credit card for all unused time. So appreciate that.

Each step was easy and intuitive. I really appreciated the tips for wording certain items and the suggestions for how I should add more details. I feel like I have the best cover letter and resume I have ever had. It was also nice to save a few versions of my resume and cover letter as I am applying to two completely different jobs at the same time and had to cater towards each job posting. I love that I can alter the format/color super quick and easy. Hopefully I get the job and won't need to use their services. I will definitely come back if needed. Anna thank you for your reply, however I would like to point out that yes u might have it in your small print that it is auto renew, however given the amount of complaints about your company online perhaps you should actually make an option, would you like auto renew at £22.95 per month, yes or no! You can also see that there is no activity on the account and perhaps send a reminder that we are paying for something that we are not using! Well done in scamming hundreds of pounds off people

As a courtesy, I have refunded the last charged for £22.95. Unfortunately, this is the maximum that we can refund. We do state on the sales page that the subscription auto renews on the 15th day if not canceled. The service, helping you to create your CV was one of the best I have come across. It gave you so many examples and samples for the individual to use, that my CV looks great! Edgar, who was the person I was chatting to on the live chat, was very helpful even when I no longer needed their service, and even though it's procedure for him to try and persuade me to stay. But overall, apart from creating my CV of which I truly didn't make full expected use of their service, but it was there for me to use at my leisure. Just didn't have the time! Whatever you do, do not use this site! They tell you its a "free" trial and then charge you $32 when it says clearly on their site that the subscription is $ 7.99. Tried to discuss this with them and they shut me down and kept the charges. Beware!

Even though it says that it is $4.95 for 7 days. Make sure you keep reading because it AUTOMATICALLY charges you $34.95 if you do not contact them to cancel your account. I used it that 1 day and the service was not even helpful and then had to pay $34.95 for something I did not end up using at all.

Wish I had taken the time to read these reveiws before I signed on. Thought I was paying a nominal one-time fee to print one resume and ultimately am being billed monthly on my Amex for $34.95! Am still trying to rectify with Amex. Total time-consuming nightmare. Who knew that their address was Cypress and impossible to communicate with. Expensive lesson---STAY AWAY!

I have never written a bad review but I am so mad that I have to on this one! I subscribed for the $1.95 trial to use only one time. Not knowing that I've been charged $40 for the last couple of months without even knowing it! That's a lot for a college student living on their own. So I called once I saw it on my bank statements since I didn't recognize the name and the lady cancelled it for me but told me that the money will not be put back on my account because it says it somewhere on the page that you have to cancel it within two weeks... well that just sucks, I don't even know what to say. I feel foolish for using this site.

Answer: This is what the site advertised: For 14 day access, $14.95, and for a year $39.80. However, signing up for ANY service aloows the site to store your payment information for further billing, and getting in touch with them, much less obtaining help is nigh impossible. After two weeks they will pull $39.80 MONTHLY from your payment method (please see my review and others on Google and yelp for further verification of this).

Answer: I had to cancel my Debit Card account with Bank of America, because the Bank refused to block LiveCareer from my account. I wonder if they are in cahoots or what? I believe a class action suit may be required so we can get our funds back.
Answer: Call your bank and change your card number Call them and let them know you have contacted your bank and will contact the better business bureau of you don't get a full refund. Then contact the better bBB and file a formal complaint. You will have a refund within a week. That's how I got my money back
