They advertise salaries but don't pay anywhere near what they advertise. Their insurance is extremely expensive. Their PTO is the worst I've ever seen; 5 days AFTER a yr and forever. The environment is unethical, boundaries are not acknowledged, extremely unprofessional & dishonest. The one pro is free parking and the owners wife is amazing.
My account was hacked and after they asked me to provide the ID and confirmed it, they left everything (from hackers) on my account and even after a few more begging to help me, they just stopped answering and ignored everything that came my way.
I believe that some scam platforms have better customer support than LinkedIn.
LinkedIn has become another spot where they violate your 1st amendment rights and they listen to cry babies and then they sit there and restrict your account because there's too many freaking babies out there that like to make comments but can't handle it when someone comments back to them.
This is a good introductory book for those who are new to LinkedIn. I am familiar with a lot of the content within, and I did get a couple of valuable new tips on how to determine the relevant keywords to include in my profile. There was some new information on how to use tools like Google for this.
I see this and use the site as a business platform, to both promote and find other professional services. I probably do not use the site well, and because I am so busy and receive a lot of word of mouth referrals I don't use Linked in to it's full potential. I could do with learning how to use it more effectively. But I like the way it links to so many professional companies and people.
I created an account and was then asked to verify my identity, which I did. Only to be permanently restricted from my account. When I asked why, they refused to tell me. I created a new account and the same thing happened. They refused to unlock my account. For both accounts I literally created the accounts and then logged on once or twice. All information on the accounts is the truth and can be verified. They are now refusing the answer any emails.
I subscribed with linked in premium for a trial for a 30 day period. I was expecting a monthly renewal after the expiration and I see a yearly charge to my account. I spoke to customer service and asked her if this was a default set option of yearly renewal and she refused to speak about it any further and before I could complete my conversation, she shut the chat window on me. Now I see that I was charged for the trial period and there is no way to reach customer service. Overall a terrible experience
I have a lot to say about this website but I will keep it short.
This website lack interacting and communication with others. Looking for a Job hope you have a Outstanding resume and profile, cause you ain't getting one with out it. By the way, if your a blue collar worker, don't even waste your time signing up if you don't have a college degree. Yes you will connect with others but finding a job on there is stupid low. LinkedIn is a easy way for your employer to see what your doing. I have more to say but ill stop here..
I opened an account 3 months ago. Unfortunately, I do not find great job offers, or nothing that actually suits my profile.
Maybe I would find more relevant offers if I had a little bit more work experience.
A great professional networking experience. Very easy to use, and find people in your professional network. It's improved over time, and has a clean user interface. Find it user friendly, the only thing is you've got to pay for a membership.
Linked in is the WORST when it comes to customer service. There is no clear way to contact them and when you do, they come across very aloof like they're doing you a favor. I would like to use Linked in again but honestly I wish there were another platform! There seems to be no way to contact them unless you're on their platform.
I found my new job on LinkedIn and can't be more happy. Perfect site to get new job opportunities and to communicate with old and new colleagues. Simply love it, keep it up, guys. Basic version works fine, by the way.
Linkedin classifies statements of historical fact as hate speech. 5 million Germans belonged to the Hitler Youth between 1926 and 1945. That is a historical fact. The only people trying to hide the prevalence of Nazism in post-war Germany is neo-nazis.
I subscribed to LinkedIn Recruiter Lite for a full year, and was never able to make sense of it on my own. When I tried to request help, I found there is no way to talk to a person, and all I got for my trouble was a call from some outsourced business development firms from India who started drilling me with questions about how many hires would I be making in the next year. Good riddance!
Currently I have more than 500 connection on LinkedIn, with the help of LinkedIn connections, I am able to find people those who have new opportunities for me. Services of LinkedIn are awesome, follow those you like. LinkedIn is very user friendly and easy to use, services like endorsement is really useful, sending invites is very important to create new connections. LinkedIn is very optimized it's loading time is very less or its depends on internet connection speed. Chat service of LinkedIn is nice, so you can chat with your connections and get new opportunities in your carrier. Linked support is great, they reply very quickly.
I just restarted my account. I didn't realize how important is really was to have a LinkedIn account until this time. It is kind of confusing to learn how to do what your trying to set out to do. However with a little help you get the hang of things fast.
I recently got a charge on my cc by Linkedin for a job posting that I had removed. There is no way after searching that I can contact customer service and resolve this. I feel that my only recourse is to submit a negative review! Frustrating!
Did an add campaign with Linkedin in the hopes it's target professionals better than Google Adds.
I was ripped off of $420 with not even one prospect or an effect towards the business:)
( was offering Linkedin Headsohts BTW)
Have to get running as far as possible from them.
Was charged many times over without any notification or receipt whatsoever.(discovered charges by mistake :)) )
Very discouraging.
I'm afraid to do any other advertising with Linkedin EVER!
Good lesson though, will keep my eyes peeled (and trust Google more)
Caution: fraud. LinkedIn application offered 1 month free of charge test subscription and then never notified me of the test period end and never asked my permission to withdraw money ($50, which is half of average salary in Russia) from my account. It's a fraud and in case you not give me my money back I will go to court and will every day and everywhere inform people that LinkedIn are thieves steeling money! You are fooling people by such non-transparent subscription policy and not notifying and not asking transparently their authorization for payment, but just fooling people. Give my money back! *******@gmail.com
You don't really get to use all teh features until you upgrade your profile to premium but the basic version is good enough to stay in touch with business friends, colleages and potential employers. Easy to use interface.
Answer: The recommender should be direct, comment on project you have worked on, and a brief summary of your work style
Answer: It is a platform for professionals to connect with each other but it is failing miserably because it doesn't deliver. There is a great deal of dissatisfaction with the product.
LinkedIn has a rating of 2.2 stars from 500 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with LinkedIn most frequently mention customer service, credit card and free trial. LinkedIn ranks 468th among Social Network sites.
