Well overall, you can see this process took a lot of time and effort. In the end, the package tracking just stopped in Shanghai on Mar 11 and eventually PayPal decided that no final shipping receipt meant that they decided in favor of the seller! Officially my claim was closed as 'no tracking details provided' which is a total lie. A long chat convo with PayPal did not change their decision. What kills me is that Linenlooks is still able to take payments using PayPal, Linenlooks switched to a new account with another gmail address (which PayPal allowed, even though that "new" gmail address was actually documented within my claim and it's the same URL). So. Live and learn, all you can do is watch for warning signs of scammy websites before ordering. Have to say I don't believe I'll ever again attempt to return anything to an uncooperative seller located in China :( Also I am NOT happy with PayPal's support process. Plus it is sad to realize that a site having PayPal as a payment method doesn't mean it's a valid site OR that PayPal protects your purchase. -Cindy W
I placed an order for six items from linenlooks.com. None of the items are as described, please see attached jpg and have a good laugh. I paid with PayPal. After receiving the package I contacted linenlooks three times to ask for the returns address (not on website) and I included a pdf as requested, to show the problems. Then I opened a PayPal complaint and suggested a partial refund if i didn't have to ship - linenlooks finally responded "Hi we make sure we have send all items same as your order, I don't know why you don't like them, Linen clothing from us is best." Eventually PayPal got back to me and said i needed to ship the items back. Original payment $133, shipping back to China cost $43 (usps) - i took the chance since Paypal said they had already frozen my refund amount in the vendor's acct so i thought there was a good chance i would get it back. Plus I really want linenlooks to lose their Paypal privileges! Anyway order placed 1/4. Items received 2/3. Reported to Paypal 2/9. Feeble response from linenlooks 2/14. Paypal asks me to return items 3/2. Shipped items 3/6. Unable to post proof of shipping to Paypal site (site refused to upload) and had to call and email to get the proof of shipping accepted, receipt image never did appear on Paypal site but status at least updated 3/8. Since then, Paypal's date of promised resolution keeps moving later and later and later and later. Today (3/24) it moved yet again, to 3/29... I was hoping I could post an actual resolution but not yet possible. I will post an update when i finally resolve this, if sitejabber allows updates/comments. I shall always review sites more carefully before ordering!
