I blocked the virtual assistant Allison, and then she started marking my items Not Available, when i tied to used her to promote sales before my move. NOTHING HAS SOLD! ALL my items are now NOT AVAILABLE
Every time i try to post something for sale on this app it immediately deletes it and flags it as a duplicate post even though it is not. This problem was persistent on my first account so i created a brand new email address to try again, same issue. When i contacted their customer service i had to call 3 times and kept getting hung up on after refusing to pay them money with their claims that my account was compromised and an overseas party was using my accounts that's why all my posts were getting deleted and flagged and that i needed to pay them a fee to remove the 2nd party. There is no second party on my created 5 minutes ago email, this is a money scam and a ploy. The third time when i called and asked to speak to a manager the guy on the phone demanded to know why and wasted 5 minutes of my time arguing with him to speak to a manager, when i finally did speak to a manager he insisted my issue was overseas people stealing my identity. I informed him never mind and ill just use another app to sell my goods on, he got very agitated and started grilling me about me not caring about people stealing my identity and that i need to pay him a fee to have him investigate it on my end. I ended up hanging up on him. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS APP. I had no issues for the first month or so until they tried swindling me out of my money and identity information. Scam. Scam. Scam
Dealing with this person was a pleasure. He was reliable, honest, and fair. Couldnt think of a better person to do business with. Thank you again! Patrick and family

Honestly, it's tough to sell lightly used items online to real interested people anyways but LetGo only makes it more difficult! Yes, a site that is there to help you sell things actually makes it more difficult to do, between the 5,000 fake profiles that will send you a message about an item you are selling, to the real people that offer their dead dog in exchange for your item(sarcasm but everyone tries exchanging worthless items), to the actual people that want the item but are extremely hard to come by and by the time you find them you have given up on the idea of ever selling this on such a pathetic website. Do NOT ever give money to this company to advertise to fake profiles for you, more traffic only means the more fake messages you get, your only hope of selling items on here is being patient and waiting for someone that specifically wants what you are selling. Lastly if you list your items on a site like this, don't list your items for dumb prices if you have an Iphone 6S that you can buy new for $200, don't sell it for 300.00 saying you bought it for 600 and that it needs a new screen. Do your research on the product you are selling, it should not cost someone more than 50% of what it would cost to get new for them to buy it used unless it's in spectacular condition. There are a TON of incompetent real buyers on this website so bare that in mind as well, at the end of it all, I wish I would've just not ever used this website.
We complain about someone and that person is still on letgo selling the same stuff who doesn't belong. Letgo doesn't even try to contact us to find out why we complain.
Rip off site that will flood you with emails. There is no way to shut it off. You cannot delete your account once you open it. Terrible company and terrible app.
When I asked the rep if letgo was in alpha or beta, I was told that it definitely was not beta and this is the final product. What a joke! This is definitely a public beta test. There are issues that they are "aware of" and "working on it" that they mention in their FAQ's. There are also functions which are not yet implemented.
About 1/4 of my chats are delayed by 15 minutes to 3 hours. 75% of the buyers are just shopping (not buying). 20% of them are scammers that want to send you a check and have you ship an item to them for basically more than it would cost for them to order from any retail store. And 5% are legit buyers. Hardly worth your time.
Pros:
*Relatively Easy to Use
*Can actually sell stuff sometimes
*Lots of Advertising = Lots of computer illiterate users (pro and con)
Cons:
*Delayed Chat Messages
*Broken Review Function
*Broken Image Function (randomly rearranges photos so main photo isn't main)
*Full of Idiots and Scammers
*Public Beta Test
*Missing and Broken Functionality
*Can only edit location from iPhone
*Can't upload, add, edit, etc on a desktop computer without using BlueStacks.
*Gives wrong location even when correct location is put in.
Letgo is a paradise for scammers. There are both buyers and sellers who are incredible scammers. There is no way to rate a person, it really needs a rating system of some sort. Also, dealing with a person who is verified by Facebook or Google, or whatever makes no difference at all. I've seen people buy counterfeit jewelry (for about literally a couple of dollars) and then post a picture of them wearing them on their hands to make it look as if they've been wearing them for years, and sell them for a whole lot more than a few $$.
Most sellers on letgo are uneducated and greedy and think that their offbrand foreign branded tablet that has been chewed by a dog is worth $100. They list items at the retail price as if their product is brand new, instead you should just buy a new item on Amazon or Ebay since there is buyer protection on those sites and you can get refunds. If you get scammed on letgo, it is too bad, and the police most likely will do absolutely nothing to help (speaking from my own personal experience)
Every other scammer/person is trying to sell a stolen iPhone, and always says that the only problem is the screen is cracked and it just needs a new screen, or they take it apart and disable the screen so that you can't properly check to see if it has been activation locked. So after you fix the screen, you find out that the phone is still not usable.
What a JOKE, nothing works, they are trying to do a quick build up and sell the company, nothing works, NO ONE will contact you if you try to buy something (7 attempts) to buy freezers, 4 days and not 1 contact or response.
Craigslist is much better, even the Greensheet is faster.
This site sucks big time. Don't waste your time posting items for sale. It works fine for posting the item. Then you get response from interested parties. You're pleased to get them. THEN THE TROUBLE STARTS. YOU ARE UNABLE TO RESPOND TO YOUR PROSPECTIVE BUYERS. THE RESPONSES DONT GO THROUGH. I'VE LOST TO POTENTIAL SALES BECAUSE THE EMAIL
REPLY FUNTION DOES NOT WORK. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO SELL ON THIS SITE.
The website is horrible to navigate around
Because it's so fricken slow loading it took me three trys just to get it to change my location and it constantly hangs up or freezes and is just slow and clunky
I've passed up a few good deals due to it freezing I wouldn't recommend this website to any one Craigslist works slot better and faster
Sold and bought great site, alot of people ask for 2 much money but you just dont bother with them, traded a 200 dollar item for a 1500 dollar collectable... yesss
I absolutely love this site. Just like craigslist or any other site you get out of it what you put into it. I find products I meet the folks I pay I pick up simple.
The app is an obvious scam to get lots of users to boost the value of the app. The reason they have so many users is because you cant delete your own account. I have complained, written, followed all directions to request they cancel my account, and they NEVER RESPOND. I CANT GET MY PROFILE REMOVED. This should be criminal.
It took me a while on the platform until I understood the bump up functionality. Now that I can't do that for free i might try something else like FB. But it did the job for me...
I take good pictures, edit them well, insert Text Boxes with KEY information... to Sell Items. I do not need "LIKES"... to sell a Patio Table Set with NO DELIVERY. Within the first 3 days I had 23 likes... so many requests to deliver... I did finally sell to a very nice lady who followed my advice and rented a Home Depot Flatbed to get it home.
How do you stop getting notices for Searched Items? At first I looked to get a feel for the APP... even though I did not check the box to get notices... I get new notices all the time for items that I searched.
Note to those who are considering this... think GARAGE SALE MENTALITY for most of the participants... if you say $300, they say $150... and when they arrive they pull out $75, hiding the rest in their car hoping to get you at a desperate time to where you take the lesser. Today, people have little integrity... again, think SOCIAL MEDIA and consider all the behaviors that are manifested... you are going to see it with LETGO.
LETGO needs to up their game, improve their searches, improve the functionality for the end user to be able to Manage their own account versus actions being locked into stone, leading to frustration and deletion of the APP... as I have done.
Even after getting verified via email address this stupid app tells me to get verified now - Verified users get faster replies. What kind of crap is that? They are holding up emails & messages until they get your information? Data mining at it's finest. I had to give out my phone number because this pathetic app wouldn't let us have a conversation that didn't last for days on end. HOW IS ANYONE ABLE TO SELL ON THIS APP? If this doesn't get fixed soon, I'm going to pull my listings and delete this rage inducing crap app. They should have left Wallapop alone, they ruined it & now they are crashing it into the ground. It wasn't broke, it didn't need fixing or reinventing. I have never hated an app so much in my life. You can't blow up the pics around the edges, so if you only want to see the middle of the page up close you're golden. Anything else & it hops from one listing to the next. It is near impossible to just stay on one listing. Wallapop was so good, I can't believe they made is suck so bad, so fast.
Let Go is alright. I think the majority of the frustration stems from doing things on the buyers terms and believing peoples BS. There is a lot of BS in the world and people who seem to get off on it. So in order to "quick to dead the bull like a matador" the rules I follow to avoid frustration as a seller:
Rule 1: Always make the buyer come to you and on your terms. Using Craigslist I would say 8/10 buyers do indeed buy. If someone isn't serious enough to drive across town to meet you, then they aren't serious to buy and will low ball you because they think you're desperate. Remember, you go to the store, the store doesn't come to you. I stick to a 3 mile radius around my house and only meet across town if it's at my convenience. I almost always have people meet at the front of my street which is pretty busy and public.
Rule 2: Never believe the tomorrow or get on it the weekend people. They aren't serious if they aren't ready to meet today!
Rule 3: Don't hold items for people. The people that say they want it for sure, are most often the ones who never show up.
Rule 4: Don't entertain hagglers. Or sob stories. When the first text is what's the lowest you will take? My response is I am pretty firm on my price. When they have a sad story, don't humor it, they want it for free or pretty close to it. If I am the buyer, I haggle in person. Money talks, BS walks.
Rule 5: Respond back ASAP to all messages. Most buys are whim buys.
Reviewers are complaining that buyers are cheap or no-shows or sellers are rude AND THEY'RE TRASHING THE APP FOR THAT?
I had a great experience as a buyer. The item was in great condition, the seller was polite and he put the item in my car as it was large and bulky.
What is wrong with this website? I've been trying to use it for a week straight and pages take forever to load. It seldomly gives me results close to me hometown.
Answer: I worked as a reviewer for several sites and when they have very little reviews or no reviews people like me are paid to say how great they are. You can verify these in Amazon reviews some of them praise items like there is no tomorrow full pages of nice reviews. When you see the contradicting reviews go for the bad one is the honest one.
The company's reputation is significantly marred by widespread customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to frequent reports of scams and unresponsive sellers. Users express frustration over the prevalence of non-serious buyers and automated responses that hinder genuine transactions. Concerns about safety and a lack of effective customer support are also prominent, with many customers feeling neglected when issues arise. Although some users have found success in selling through the platform, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards disappointment, suggesting a pressing need for improved oversight and customer service to enhance user experience and trust.
