Jeremy called me and left a Voicemail that he was 35 min away. He had tried to show up to the appointment 4 hours early. 10 A.M. instead of 2 PM to 5 PM. He NEVER Showed.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Leslie's Pool after purchasing a pool online for over $3,500. Despite being told I would receive an invoice via email shortly after the purchase, hours passed and I still hadn't received any proof of my transaction. Concerned, I called their customer service multiple times, only to be given the runaround each time.
When I decided to cancel my order just two hours after making the purchase, they informed me that cancellations were not possible. This left me in a frustrating situation where I had no proof of purchase and no way to cancel the order. For a company handling such high-value transactions, this lack of transparency and customer support is unacceptable.
This has been the worst experience I've ever had spending money, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from Leslie's Pool. Their customer service and policies are deeply flawed, and I regret trusting them with such a significant purchase.
I went into a store in Gastonia NC this morning for 2 things. The main reason was to return a hose that was too short, secondly to test water.
The associate who is Mel, was helping someone when I walked in, she didn't say good morning or greet me, but she said are you doing a water test I said yes. She told me to go over and fill out a form and sit water down. I did, and waited on her to help the customers. She came over did the test, I responded that I didn't want to buy chemicals today, main goal was to return hose and get a new one made.
She went off about me not telling her that I wanted another hose, that she could have done one transaction, I only responded, you didn't ask me. She got upset with my reply and said she doesn't read minds, I replied again you didn't ask me. She then told me I was rude from when I walked in the door.
I never was rude or disrespectful, so it shocked me when she said that. I offered an apology and said claim down, I am the customer, let's start over. She rejected all my attempts to be kind, and told me to leave, or she'd call the police.
At that point I started recording because I didn't want her to lie on me.
She called police and when they asked her for reason she called, she said I was there to record her and put it on tic tok.
I wanted to get a hose and be on my way.
I asked for a manager, she said she was the manager. This lady has a lying spirit, she wanted confrontation, but couldn't get me to act out or get upset, so she created a situation like I created it. I have been going there for years and never had that experience. In fact was there yesterday and a very nice gentleman helped me out. I told him I would be back today with hose measurements and water test.
He said ok I will be here. Very pleasant man.
This morning, I came upon just the opposite customer service experience. Like night and day. Police came, I don't know what she told them, but they told me to take it up with corporate, and not to go back to the store today.
I'm still waiting on corporate to contact me.
Purchased a polaris 380 pool cleaner online. Wheel broke off after 2 years and when I opened it up I found it is filled with silicone all around base and appears turbine bearing rusted. I believe they sold a refurbished unit as new - they refused to do anything about it and said to take it into store to attempt a warranty claim [which obviously was denied]. Store tried to say it is normal for new units to be filled with silicone and also for it to rust out in 2 years [not sure its rust, looks more burnt]. Must be really poor quality manufacturing if it is.
Leslie's had the perfect Pool Salt, reasonable price, dissolves quickly with minimal brushing, not to mention worked really well. Then, they decided they needed to pocket a bit more money. They now have this inferior salt, that not only takes forever to dissolve, it makes the water a grayish / brown color. How do I know – I tried to use a bucket to see if that would help dissolve this crap. The icing on the cake is that this crap costs more than before. So, that's the reason for my review, and I'm moving on. Thanks for screwing your customers.
$#*!ed company that getting advantage of the customers. They are not helping or eager to help just want to sell. Jason Wells( Rounded Pig) was not educated to understand people. They are against of the people or customer. If they pay me a million dollar I never work for them uneducated loser who doesn't comprehend anything just sell sell sell... products with low quality, but expensive, so not worth to buy anything from them. Loser corporate...etc
I bought a pool basket for me pool and paid $27.99. They have the exact same one at Pinch A Penny for $15.49. Went back for a price match with photos of their price, sign and product. They told me to come back. They have to call and verify. Talk about over priced! $15 difference.
Ordered chlorine tabs to be picked up at my local Leslie's store
I have just been informed that it will take 7 to 10 days for lesliespools.com to ship the Leslie's chlorine 3 inch jumbo tabs to my local Leslie store who refuses to give it to me, and in fact has not even received the order from their parent company
I'm told I have to wait 7 to 10 days for my chlorine which had I done the option of free shipping it would've been here in two days from now four days shipping but since I'm picking it up from the store, it will take 7 to 10 days I will never use this again is my local Leslie store even getting any credit for the purchases that why they couldn't care less about my order or helping me with it and they have no idea when it will arrive or how long it will take before I'm allowed to pick it up
It doesn't matter what you purchase at Leslie's Pool store, you can be sure you buy an equivalent product of equal quality elsewhere, just takes a little shopping around. I doubt their employees enjoy decent salaries or working conditions based on the half-hearted service.
Purchased the JVX160 pool pump less than 5 years ago and I have had issues every since (VERY BAD DECISION). On 3/5/2024 contacted Leslie's to have a service person come out to repair the pump again because it is leaking and had to turn the pump off. The sent out Eric, who looked at the pump and said the seal (part# *******) needed to be replaced and it was NOT under warranty. He needed to order the part, ok rescheduled for 3/12, got a call from dispatcher stating that Eric was hurt and that they would have to re-schedule another time/day and another technician. Keep in mind, our pool has not been running due to the leak. Finally got a date/time of 3/15 they sent out Ivan who does NOT have any clue what is going on with the pool and says that NOW the pump needs a propeller (part#*******) and we can order it on Amazon and when it is in we can scheduled for someone to install it. My STRONG advise, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER purchase, go to, or request ANYTHING from Leslie's Pool. You get bad equipment, faulty warranty and just plan out BAD service!
I have been a customer of Leslie pool supply in Omaha for a very long time. I am not sure who is in charge of hiring at the 144th St. Location. Ashley has been a staple of that store for a lot of years, who ever decision to let her go has not got a clue on what is happening in that store. She would bend over backwards to help everyone. My whole family has her personal cell phone, so that you could call, or text her. I could tell you countless stories, of how she went out of her way to help me get the right chemicals, or what ever supplies I would need to keep my pool crystal clear. I know a lot of people who are really upset with how she was treated, and than let go. What ever you were paying her was not enough. I am in the retail business, and when you have a good employee like Ashley, you damn well better take care of them. There are a lot of people that will go elsewhere for all of their pool needs. I use to spend a lot of money in that store. I will, with a lot of other people will follow Ashley to wherever she lands. Just wanted to let someone know how alot of us in Omaha felt about your horrible decsion.
On November 1,2023, I took my hayward vac to the Leslie store located on Arrow in the city of Glendora. I informed the gentlemen that the hayward vac was staying in the corner. One of the gentlemen told me that it were possible that it was the steering box. So I purchased a new one. On November 8,2023 I can back to the store and told them the vac was again going to the corner and remaining. They indicated that if I left it, they would check it. On November 10, I went to the store, because I had not heard for them. The gentlemen stated he was short of employees and there was another person's vac ahead of me. I told them the females who ran the store was more efficient than they were. On November 11, one of the store employees called me and informed me that a screw was stuck and he could not open the vac. Stating he believed I had tightened the screw too tight. I told them that I Had not tighten the screws too tight and noticed the screw was embedded. I Took the vac home and untightened the screw. After which I went to the Leslies in Laverne, Ca. I have been living in Glendora for 20yrs. Never have I found the Manager and employee's to be Un-trained, incompetent or as disrepecful.
I ordered a custom spa cover from Leslie with a delivery date of early December. The cover arrived yesterday, October 25. While it was nice to get it almost two months early, the cover just 'showed up'. While cover seems to be high quality, it fits well and I'm happy with the cover, the delivery was bad. I walked out of the house and there was a giant box on my front porch. It would have been much better if I had known it was coming. I seriously doubt I will be purchasing more from Leslie.
Purchased after-market salt cell end of June 2022. It went bad last weekend. The store I patronize suggested I call corporate and they may help me out since so close to warranty date. Best they would do is a 15% discount. Woo hoo!
Over the years, I have purchased thousands of dollars of chemicals from the Palm Harbor store where I have shopped for years, purchased a robot cleaner ($1200) and Jacuzzi variable speed pump ($1,000). And the best they would do is 15% discount.
Well, I bought another after-market salt cell on line that was less money, has a 5 year warranty and stellar reviews. And as much as I like Suzy who manages the Palm Harbor store, I will be moving over to Pinch a Penny from now on.
My husband just called to order more Chlor Brite and couldn't even understand the service person. He is hearing impaired so I got on the line with good hearing and I couldn't understand her. She asked what the problem was when he said he wanted to place another order. Her English was so poor. He went round and round and then he finally gave up. He then attempted to order online and it wouldn't go through so he calls again to find out that they are out of stock and don't have any idea when it will be in stock. I can see why the score for this company is 1.6.
Do not buy any product from them expecting a store warranty. No matter how soon the return request they just refer you to the mani factory warranty?. Could have bought my IC40 Pentair from online for a lower price but thought buying from a local dealer out of Texarkana would have been better to deal with? Boy was I wrong :(
Leslie checks your pool water and then starts piling products up on the table saying that you need them and that if you don't use all these products your pool will never become LG free and the products can and will run up to $1,000 100 lb of powder shock cost $800 a year ago it cost me around $460 for 100 lb of their powder shock chlorine they thought it was funny when they told me the price of the product that I was asking for not very good business standards I would not suggest to go to the store for anything it's always been overpriced the chlorine Factory in Louisiana that burned down from a hurricane 2 years or so ago has been rebuilt and is putting out $130% of product daily chlorine prices should have leveled out a while back signing off my name is Bart decoro
I contacted Leslie's customer service on their website chat asking to cancel an order for a vacuum that I placed just 3 hours ago. It hasn't even shipped and they wouldn't cancel the order.
Leslie's store in troy is horrible. They're designed to sell you products. Not solve issues. The manager is pompous, arrogant and only cares about profitability. Not people. Avoid this store at all costs. Use Huntington pools or viscount
