Go elsewhere! The store manager at Leslies in Conway Florida has the bedside manner of a serial killer! He accused me of things I was not doing insulted me and my family.
If I could give zero stars I would. I have been a customer of Leslie's for 5 years and have spent a lot of money at their store. This summer I need to replace my filter system, they came out at the beginning of May and I placed an order for a new sand filter and scheduled an appointment that day for the installation, which was scheduled for 6/16. As of last week my filter had yet to be delivered, when I called and inquired about my delivery I was told they no longer have this filter in stock. This was 1 month after my order was placed, there was no communication from Leslie's that they did not have my filter. The lady on the phone was everything but helpful, she just said they can refund the money and that I would need to find the filter somewhere else. No apology or credit given for my inconvenience. I find the product somewhere else in time for my installation, I had to pay $40 more for the product. My 6/16 appointment was confirmed via 2 text messages then yesterday I get a call that my appointment is now scheduled for another month out. When I call about my appointment all they say is that "I never had an appointment for the 16th" and that the first available will be in July. I shared I had received 2 text messages from them confirming my appointment for the 16th but they denied this occurred.
Needless to say, I have found a new pool store that will install my pool filter for about $200 less then they were going to charge me, and I will never again schedule services through them. Their customer service is now handled all oversees, you can never get a direct answer from them.
On November 1,2023, I took my hayward vac to the Leslie store located on Arrow in the city of Glendora. I informed the gentlemen that the hayward vac was staying in the corner. One of the gentlemen told me that it were possible that it was the steering box. So I purchased a new one. On November 8,2023 I can back to the store and told them the vac was again going to the corner and remaining. They indicated that if I left it, they would check it. On November 10, I went to the store, because I had not heard for them. The gentlemen stated he was short of employees and there was another person's vac ahead of me. I told them the females who ran the store was more efficient than they were. On November 11, one of the store employees called me and informed me that a screw was stuck and he could not open the vac. Stating he believed I had tightened the screw too tight. I told them that I Had not tighten the screws too tight and noticed the screw was embedded. I Took the vac home and untightened the screw. After which I went to the Leslies in Laverne, Ca. I have been living in Glendora for 20yrs. Never have I found the Manager and employee's to be Un-trained, incompetent or as disrepecful.
I have been fighting green algae all year and regardless of all the recommended products, I still have algae. I did everything that Leslie's recommended, but nothing worked. My chlorine levels have been difficult to maintain and I have had to use liquid chlorine to supplement the tablets. I needed more tablets and my wife and I were at Lowes. She had a gift card and suggested that we buy the chlorine tabs for them, because it's so expensive. We bought Clorox brand tabs. 3 days later, my pool is algae free and the water is beautiful. It's been two weeks now and I haven't had to add anything, including liquid chlorine. No algae and my water is perfect. I can only conclude that Leslie's 3" chlorine tablets are junk. I literally spent hundreds of dollars trying to get my pool water under control. I spent hours brushing the pool, trying to stay on top of the algae. Don't buy their chlorine, or you will end up buying several expensive products from Leslie's and they won't get rid of the algae.
Leslie's in a high pressure overpriced scam machine. I went in to test my water a couple of years back and even though I have spent thousands over the years there, they refused to tell me the results unless I bought product from them right there, right than. I had extra of what he recommended (Leslie's brand which I had bought from him) but NO, I had to buy right there right than or else they would not tell me the results. Since then, I went to a mom and pop pool supply and have had no issues since then and only have to pay a fraction of what Leslie's charges. I was in a hurry today so I went in again and was told a story about how I had to by their expensive shock because they didn't stock any liquid chlorine. Told me there was a shortage. There WAS a shortage last year, BUT I called around and every other pool supply company had it in stock. Even Lowes and Walmart were overstocked. Leslie's treats it customers the same way used car's salesmen treat their buyers. At Leslie's you are NOT a customer, you are a mark to be conned into spending way more than you need to. I will NEVER EVER set foot inside a Leslie's again! I will just spend the time to drive across town to be treated like I am not just a giant wallet walking arround to be fleeced.
I waited 3 weeks for someone to come out….they showed up this morning & left a voicemail that my gate was closed & locked. GATE WAS CLOSED BUT NOT LOCKED…Obviously they didn't even get out of the vehicle or they would have seen NO LOCK.
Leslie's wanted me to reschedule for another 3 week window…. I told them that if someone wasn't even smart enough to open the gate, I certainly didn't want them servicing my pool.
I ordered a Weekender 24x48 Pool package on May 24 2023. I received it within a few weeks so delivery was great. Upon having installers at my residence we realized that 2 of the Wilbar top/bottom plates were missing and had to reschedule installation. We called the Leslie's Pools in Fayetteville and the gentleman we spoke with got back with us that we could just order it online at the main office. We ordered the parts and paid out of pocket for them. The wrong parts came in and once again the installers were here and we had to reschedule. By 06/10/23 we finally received the correct parts and began installation. I wish there was better help when you pay so much for a pool and are missing parts that you have to pay extra out of pocket for. I suggest buying a pool from a place you can actually take home and have easier access to missing items so the cost don't just keep adding up. We ended up with 2 reschulincg fees from installer and buying 125.00 worth parts and waiting 3 weeks before we could get in our pool. We did a lot of calling and following up and never got any call back (other than text"here order from here") from a manager at a Leslie's store. Should it be this difficult? You may get out cheaper just paying for the same company you purchased it from to install it, no idea. No one likes to open a package and pieces be missing, I hope this was just a one time error because I went with a different company than my other family members.
The 5000 dollar pool heat was to be delivered on the 20th, then the 23rd, and then after waiting at home for 3 hours it never showed, called mike at the store on jupiter farms road store and he said he didnt care because he doesn't control the delivery trucks. Called TForce and he said they will deliverer it the next day. I told him to deliver it to mike at the jupiter road location and let him pay for it. I disputed it on my AMEX and it has been credeted. These people dont give a crap about you, juts take the money and screw you. Don't ever deal with Leslies on Jupiter Road. Slimballs form he get go.
Leslie Pools is baiting and switching customers with pool closing. I was quoted online, and by phone, that pool closing would be $250 plus a $45 trip charge. When they arrived, I confirmed and allowed the work to begin. After it was done, I was told it would now be $320 plus a $48.15 trip charge. Since I verbally requested a price before services were done and were quoted the price they gave me, I should not be asked to pay the additional fees they added. This is a clear violation of bait and switch. The seller should clarify the price when a customer inquires about service and price. After I reached out to customer service, they quickly told me the price and asked me to send the quoted price to them. They are trying to scam people by making them believe they are cheaper until the service is done. Local pool places near me had a better price, but Leslie said they could match, and they were wrong. I request that the agreed-upon price be honored, or I am left with no option but to take this to court and allow a judge to preside over the case. I am tired of these companies deceiving customers with lowball offers and then jacking up the price.
Went into Leslie's today with my Polaris. All I wanted was the guy behind the service desk to tell me what was wrong, I would fix it. He told me to leave my information he would get back with in 2 days that he had people in front of me of which there's no one in front of me nor behind me... he would not give me customer service and told me I had to be in line? WHAT LINE? I JUST NEEDED A LITTLE ADVICE. IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN HIM A NONO SECOND... HE DECLINED. TOLD ME TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I ASKED IF HE DIDN'T JUST HAVE TIME TO TELL ME WHAT WAS WRONG... HE SAID NO... I SAID ARE YOU DECLINING TO GIVE ME CUSTOMER SERVICE... HE SAID YEP GOTTA WAIT IN LINE... HIS NAME WAS TROY AT THE HULEN STORE... Troy was very rude, condescending, arrogant just plain disrespectful. I told him I was going to the DM and he said go ahead... Absolutely pathetic. I was in there to spend money and I just needed a little advice and help. Don't go to Leslie's.
This place is awful I purchased pool pump hooked up doesnt work not even 2 weeks old and they want me to call manufacturer to get repaired, i could see if it at least worked but i receieved in non working condition this place is awful, and do research they go by several names Pool Supply World is one, Doheneys is another, and Leslie Pools is one Awful Awful Awful
The ANSWER is 4 trips:
1. One to buy the hose, but not be provided with parts to attach the hose to the pool, or ask about it.
2. Two, to go down and be provided with an adapter that is the same one sold earlier in the day to another customer that DOESN'T attach to the hose itself because they don't have a proper hose size to try it out on.
3. Three, to go down and get two other adapters, one part to go into the pump suction junction and one to attach to the hose (which turns out doesn't attach because they don't have the section to try it on).
4. Fourth, to go back with the hose and all the parts ten minutes later get the proper parts to connect the hose to the part that goes to the pump.
A. This subpart is for the CUSTOMER who actually picked out the right part for the hose and we test the assembly. Shades of the Hubble?
So, after explaining these four trips, I ask the person at the desk how they would feel if they had to make four trips to get this simple set up done. No, answer on several prompts. Then I say that if they don't provide training then its Leslie's fault. Still NO response.
Finally, he issues the $5 credit in the difference in cost, hands me the part and the ticket and goes on to the next customer (the one who found the right part).
NO SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, NOTHING – Just move on.
THAT'S THE LESSON IN POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I came three minutes before closing time and they had already closed. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
Disgusting company, disgusting service dishonest people. I don't want to have even 1 star for this company.
They seem to be more interested in selling high priced products than solving issues! Never sold me a product that worked, waste of money!
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Leslie's Pool after purchasing a pool online for over $3,500. Despite being told I would receive an invoice via email shortly after the purchase, hours passed and I still hadn't received any proof of my transaction. Concerned, I called their customer service multiple times, only to be given the runaround each time.
When I decided to cancel my order just two hours after making the purchase, they informed me that cancellations were not possible. This left me in a frustrating situation where I had no proof of purchase and no way to cancel the order. For a company handling such high-value transactions, this lack of transparency and customer support is unacceptable.
This has been the worst experience I've ever had spending money, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from Leslie's Pool. Their customer service and policies are deeply flawed, and I regret trusting them with such a significant purchase.
