Although I used Legal Zoom to create my first business, this second time around is a nightmare. It has been over a year and its they labeled my character of business "Any Legal Purpose" I am in real estate have been in real estate through the whole process. To fix their mistake I have to call the IRS (and its that easy right?)
If I could I would leave an extra star! I so appreciated being able to have my questions answered with a representative who did not add any pressure to the conversation whatsoever. As a result, I did use the service to establish my LLC and I recommend to anyone who needs the kind of products and services LegalZoom offers to work with them as well. I originally signed up with another company, but the customer service /chat was not knowledgeable. When I went to Legal Zoom, the customer service associates were knowledgeable and stayed in the conversation with me while I signed up and started the legal process. Also, Legal Zoom gives me access to an actual attorney, which you need when filing legal paperwork.

I ordered a simple LLC in September 2016. I was currently a sole proprietor. They misfiled my paperwork under a different LLC name (not sure how that could happen). It took 4 months for them to correct the error! I received an email stating everything had been submitted to my state and the IRS. Here it is March 2017, my state has received the notice and everything looks great. The IRS has never been notified. I just got off the phone with LegalZoom and they claim they never mailed it to the IRS, just my state! If they are this incompetent with an LLC I would hate to use them for anything even remotely complex!

I was helped by Jason today and honestly am glad I got him he was amazing help answered all the questions he could and the questions he couldn't answer he knew exactly where to guide me to find the answers he also was just very warm and comforting all of his help and information was invaluable I would strongly recommend him to any of my friends looking to start a business. Submitted to Legal Zoom on 14 November. 19 December Legal Zoom tells me they delivered it to the state on 8 December. WTF? I mean like really. More truth, I called the state and found out the llc paperwork was not even dropped off till 13 December. Someone has lied, not good business.

Never us them. It is a rip off. They issued me 3 duplicated DBA's and then would not refund or fix it. Charged me for all 3. They would not issue a credit to fix and would not fix the DBA's I had to pay for the ones they screwed up again. Never again.
