For months I have been telling my husband that we need to hire someone to mow our front and back yards. We've had so much rain this year and ended up with some pretty fast-growing grass. He keeps getting really busy and, before you know it, the weekend is gone and the grass gets higher. We hired a neighborhood kid once or twice when it got really bad, but he did a pretty awful sloppy job. Besides that, somebody had to be at home to let him in, get the mower out for him and pay him. What a pain, especially since we both work a lot of hours.

She raved about it and said it was quick and easy. She said you could even pay online using Paypal or a major credit card.
So, my husband and I decided to try it. We like the fact that you can set up mowing service online 24/7 and you can even prepay if you want to. We didn't have to be at home when they arrived, which was perfect for us. They did an awesome job and our lawn never looked better. They sent us pictures, too, so we knew how good it looked even before we got home. But, nothing can possibly beat that feeling of driving up in the driveway and seeing a neatly manicured lawn instead of an overgrown ugly one. It was amazing.
I was away on a trip when I reserved services so I didn't get the person's name but they did an awesome job on my long grass! Will recommend to my colleagues in need of landscaping services.

Not sure what people are complaining about, I own my own lawn care business and do not take my mowers off the trailer for less than $28 a lawn. (small one) I cut at 3", trim, and blow clippings off all concrete around house. I'm amazed at the number of people that think their lawn is "up to 3 inches" tall and yet as I cut their lawn, it leaves a ton of clippings, sometimes even large piles. Wow, I shouldn't be leaving any clippings at all. I mow each yard as if it where my own, again I don't understand the complaints about poor quality of the cut. Not by me! I use this site to fill in when I am not busy with my own customers, so you are getting a fantastic deal for the money when you pay through the web site. Be grateful you have someone that thought ahead to provide this service! To the mowers complaining, DO NOT SIGN UP, DO NOT ACCEPT THE JOB UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO GIVE IT YOUR BEST! I only take the jobs I want, so should you.
A contractor did not accept the job for the 1st day posted with a $3 tip so I did as the company suggested and added another $10 tip on top of the $3 so willing to pay a total of $43 for a 1x mow which is way more than the going price around. It didn't get accepted again so I canceled explaining my order never was accepted by a contractor and I couldn't wait another day to see if it would get accepted and I wasn't willing to pay anymore than what I was already paying. They still charged me a $15 cancelation fee although I did what they suggested and my order was never accepted. Biggest waste of money and time!

The policy has worked exactly as expected, more orders are getting accepted and mowed and fewer orders are being cancelled. Avoiding this fee is simple, just do not cancel within 2 business days of scheduling service. For example, if you order May 1st for mowing on May 2nd, do not cancel on May 1st, May 2nd (1 day) or May 3rd (2 days). The order can be cancelled on May 4th (3 days since May 1st) and there will be no fee. Of course by then the order will likely be accepted by a contractor and already mowed so there would no longer be any reason to cancel.
To make sure every customer knows about the cancellation fee it is listed in 2 places. It is listed on the Terms of Service page that all customers agree to before placing an order and the cancellation fee is explained in bold text and underlined on the cancellation page that all customers must fill out to cancel an order.
Just want to let everyone know, the customer service is subpar and discourteous as can be. When I wrote in to ask about the cancellation policy, apparently there is a $15 cancellation policy that is buried in the Terms of Service, the customer service rep wrote back "Yes, that is what you agreed to in the TOS," and left it at that. No explanation, no apology that it wasn't actually displayed on the "Cancellation" Tab on the front page or anywhere that a customer typically reads. Additionally, they have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, yet when I am dissatisfied, that guarantee apparently doesn't apply to me. Long story short, BE WARNED, there is a hidden cancellation fee of $15 if you try canceling within 2 days of posting the job, even if you try to cancel before anyone has accepted the job. Never recommending this company again.

My lawn is mowed it looks better than ever before! I made a request on Friday evening and in the morning someone was at my door. I can't believe it was soo simple and affordable!
We had used them several times over the course of a year and all of a sudden they said that we had lied about our lawn size. We had placed the same exact order 10 times in a year and all of a sudden we had lied about our lawn size? If that were true, they should have simply charged us the difference, which we would have paid, but instead they accused us of LYING and REFUSED TO REFUND OUR MONEY! Even though they NEVER MOWED OUR LAWN! I had to dispute it with our bank and am waiting to get the money back. Granted it's only $24 but the principle of the matter is they are keeping money they never earned! THIEVES! DON'T USE THIS SERVICE! We are filing CRIMINAL THEFT CHARGES against them in MO this week for THEFT.
A++ would recommend and will be using again. They did a great job, made sure to come out before the weather hit, and were very easy to communicate with to get the job done.

No sir, I am not a fake reviewer, I have experienced not only with the level of contractors you deal with, but even worse with your low class customer service, you guys are not only rude when communicate with clients, but also careless of the customer needs. I am very busy, and I do not have time to be asking for refunds all the time, and yes, my first name is not Armando, and I decline to disclose it for security reasons. I don't think that should be a good reason not to post my awful experience with your services. Customers can request a different contractor or request a full refund for any reason. Contractors that cause problems like the one described by Armando are immediately removed from the website. Like any business, we must be made aware of what the contractors are doing otherwise we can not attempt to solve it. Armando has still not contacted the website so we still do not know who this is or if this really happened. Also you are too busy to send one email to support to have a problem fixed, but not too busy to go online and register for other websites and leave multiple negative reviews? This situation makes no sense, if a buyer on Amazon or Ebay has a problem don't they contact the seller to try and resolve it rather than going to another website to complain? All the positive reviews here are real. We have been in business for over 5 years and we have tens of thousands of satisfied customers.
High quality, timely, and reasonably priced. Job was completed within 5 hours of submitting online. Crew was professional and did a great job. I will definitely recommend and use again.
Oh man I really read every review on here before giving it a go because I was worried our relatively rural home would not be in a service area or that I would end up in a lengthy battle trying to get a refund if I did not get accepted. All those fears were promptly put to death as I am now, only 16 or so hours after placing my order, admiring my beautifully manicured and professionally kept lawn!
It is said "If its too good to be true, it probably is" but that phrase is definitely challenged and blown to smithereens by this company's outstanding service! I placed an order late last night, within 50 minutes I received an email saying my job had been accepted! I rejoiced but knew the proof would be in the pudding. What if it was some lazy kid or someone who decided to get drunk all night and not show or come and complain and I would ultimately be left with no work done and less money in the bank now with a chore of recovering my investment.
Boy was I wrong about that! The contractor arrived promptly a little before 10 a.m. the very next morning and all work was completely efficient and so neat and professional! Where have you been all my life lawnmowingonline? Well better late than never and I will be a lifelong fan and telling everyone about you.

I submitted a bid to get the lawn mowed at my house, and even put in additional tip to try and get the job done quickly. When it hadn't been picked up by that evening I went online and added another $4 to try to speed it up. I was very confused to wake up to a refund the next morning with the owner's note: "Note from merchant
Customer lied on order. Property over 10,890 sq ft. Order cancelled and refunded, customer banned, do not order again"
Talk about unprofessional! I think this company must be run by a 13 year old. I played their game though and submitted a helpdesk ticket explaining how I had come to the size of the lawn: "The total lot is 75' wide by 200' deep (15,000 sq ft). On the lot is a house, a detached garage and workshop, a long driveway and additional parking pad, and a large deck (700+ sq ft) so total grass area should be less than 11,000".
I of course never received a response. I went on their facebook page and asked if they had an update on my ticket and gave the ticket number, but that was deleted. I don't know what's up this guy's butt, but you should steer clear! Anyone who runs a business like that is not someone I want to give money to!

The site owner's response shows just how childish they are. Did not work with me to resolve misunderstanding, and did not refund the rest of my money until I repeatedly asked for it. The fact still remains that I paid MORE than their highest sq footage tier in the base ($19) + tips. I obviously wasn't out to scam anyone.
1) Like customer says, he lied about size of the property.
2) Order page says we charge according to property size, we can not make price adjustments for every bush, garden, shed, pool, patio, driveway, sidewalk, etc
3) Customer was banned, we do not tolerate customers that attempt to steal from the contractors. We feel $19 is a very reasonable price, if a customer thinks $19 is too much for lawn mowing then please, do not order from LawnMowingOnline.com
