I tried to change the date of my flight (booked via last-minute.com) 2 weeks in advance. They told me that it was not possible to change the date via e-mail after 2 days since my original complaint. I called the airline to check it effectively there were no seats anymore and guess? Seats do were available. I spent 3 hours on endless calls with no solutions. And I did manage to change my flight.

Also, don't buy full flex for any reason if you plan to have a long trip. The service will automatically expire once the outbound date happens. So technically you can't change the return flight.

Lastminute running a practised scam
It seems this company is practising a click through Bait and switch scam. I got a price on Cheapflights.com quoted by lastminute including a check-in bag but when I paid for the transaction, the message I got was that it may take 3 days to confirm the booking which put me on alert as this was not something i have seen before. Then when they confirmed the booking they stated that it was excluding check-in baggage for which there was an extra fee which increased the total by 50%. I immediately tried to get through to them which is impossible as they do NOT publish a customer care number and their webchat agent a Mariglen just kept saying you confirmed the booking and if you have proof that this included baggage they would look into it. I stated that they will have the whole log recorded from when i came through to the booking and on what terms and under GDPR I requested that. She did not reply to that even when asked twice. As a customer who records the web history? I have not needed to but maybe it is something I have to look into in future. I asked her for a copy of the webchat transcript which she said would be available at the end. It was not which is clearly another scam they pull to make sure you never have a record of the conversation. I then immediately notified my Credit card company of this as an attempted fraud; they told me that the billling was not even done by the company i expected but another one and the billing company had even retained my card details to sign me up for a subscription for a service I had NOT consented to. The credit card agent stated that as this was a suspected fraud, they would cancel the card and cancel the subscription and investigate the transaction. Hopefully this then results in a full refund which can apparently take nearly a month. In the meantime, I went back into the same travel search engine to see if that route still has has seats and pricing and surprise surprise lastminute is not shown but the price I paid did include baggage directly from the airline itself. So it is clear that Lastminute has not done this for the first time.

Absolutely $#*! company! Rude company not helpful at all! Refused refund due to WORLD PANDEMIC! Totally out of my control! Stealing peoples money! Disgusting stay away from this company! Never ever will I use this company again!

Very horrible experience

Very horrible experience with them. Booked a flight which I cancelled immediately. I was told refund would take 3-7 days. It's been past two weeks now, and they have kept giving me unreasonable excuses and yet to refund me, despite calling many times. I have been told I will be refunded yet I haven't. Reading the many reviews on here, I see a similar pattern. Avoid at all costs.

Don't even think about touching this company with a pole- scammers of the worst kind.
I booked a hotel through them, but they did not pay on time. Because of that, I had to wait hours to check in. Then they asked me to pay cash out of my pocket and said they will refund me. Guess what they sent me later via email? A voucher for the cash I paid at the hotel.
Now it has been almost half a year, and I have called these scammers 12 times! Every time they say that it will be done with priority and the case has been escalated to the management. But I never got my refund.
The amount of time these frauds have wasted and the harassments they have caused is worth more than any amount of money. Avoid these pure scumbags and scammers at any cost

Update 09/02/22: After promising me for 7 months that they will refund 'next week,' they have now finally confirmed that they were lying throughout and will not be refunding.

When booking our trip we requested to have 2 pieces of luggage added, for both the outbound and inbound flights. When we were checking in from our return flight we were advised that we did not have any luggage booked and would need to pay an additional £140. Obviously we had to pay as the only other option was to leave all of our belongings in Mexico.

We contacted customer care in mid December 2021 right after we returned home. After multiple calls and emails, I finally received a call on the 21. 02. 22 saying a refund would be processed. Only to be followed up by an email on the 22. 2. 22 saying that no refund would be processed. I have a confirmation email from Last Minute clearly showing that I had added luggage for both the inbound and outbound flight.

It's distressing and generally just appalling that they are trying to weasel their way out of it, saying it was a misunderstanding and no refund will be given.

I have proof of purchase, it just wont let me add it.

October 10, 2022

Last minute have stolen £263.77 refund from me for a flight that was booked and cancelled within days by the airline SEVEN months ago. I took the option of a refund and lastminute.com have told me repeatedly they are working on it. I believe they have made a mistake and didn't pass on my refund request to the airline as I was sent boarding passes for the rescheduled flight (I was offered but had declined) a day before the flight in September. They tell me that they are waiting from funds from the airline, which is clearly not the case.

I booked the tickets, had the money withdrawn from my account, was waiting for confirmation and after 2 days I got an e-mail saying my booking was cancelled.
And i received for company:
We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and hope that you will book with us again.
Aha :) of course. Never, ruined all my holidays

The worst experience I have ever had with booking a flight! The communication and customer service is abysmal. Trying to modify anything via the online portal is a smoke screen, you attempt to make changes and from there it is left with 'update request & an agent will be in touch'... this can leave you in stand still for days. I made several phone calls, they sent a change flight request that would cut my trip shorter by half (4 days, would turn into 2, this is with hotels booked), when I had only asked for an earlier flight. It was excuses and explanations that the flight would be amended, the following morning I call, and they offer me the same flight that I rejected the day before, which they had said they would rectify. It has reached the day before leaving for my holidays and because they have wasted my time, they explained there is now nothing they can do and I need to get in touch with airline directly if I want to do anything. By far the worst experience with communication.

After reading some negative reviews I was a bit sceptical, but my trip was great not one issue everything from being checked in online and receiving our boarding passes to our private taxi and hotel everything was perfect. I will definitely use last minute again.

Booked holiday to Greece. Got message saying flight cancelled, drove me mad for 6 mo the trying to get my money back. Stressed to the max trying to communicate with them. Extremely rude customer service. Got my money back in the end with help of credit card provider. Honestly do not bother even going there with them unless you want ripping off, extreme disappointment and stress

Our flights got cancelled via email on the 1st of March, we asked for an alternative flight because all of the prices had gone up since our original booking. We're now 10 days from our original date for flying and still no flight. We call every day and we get, we'll send you an email today. And nothing. They're a third part seller so there isn't much they can do but still, maybe call if a flight gets cancelled. Don't just send an email.

CHECK IT OUT FIRST

We booked a hotel in London via Lastminute.com under their 'Secret Deal', whereby the hotel you are allocated to is not defined until after your purchase.
This being done, and on then connecting to the hotel website found the same booking, except for the fact had we booked directly with the hotel and paying £3-00 more we would have been eligible for breakfast!
Extremely disappointing and actually felt conned--- as the hotel explained we could not add this on as they pay commission to the agent, in this case Lastminute.com.
Will NOT be booking through them in the future!

Bank charge back
June 27, 2020

I had my holiday cancelled in early March. I have been emailing and calling these jokers for 3 months, and have only had about 3 emails back. Every time i call, they say it is their "company policy" to only offer voucher refunds, which is hilarious, as their website says they offer cash refunds (back to payment method) and that I will have to wait at least 3 months, even though their website says payments should be back 14 days after airlines refund them...
So easy jet and Ryanair both refunded them for my flights in APRIL, and 2 months later, they're still denying this. Even though the airlines emailed me to tell me this!
I got my bank involved in March, and I have just received the credit back to my account.
It has been a long and very stressful process, but i recommend every one who has troubles, get your bank to do a charge back... They can run but they can't hide!

Last minute.com

Last minute.com are refusing to give me a refund they have taken the whole amount out of my bank account twice. After being on hold 3 times and waiting. Hour and 20 min on the phone are they refusing to resolve the issue. And saying they have only taken it out once. After telling them I would sent my bank statement proving this. They said they can not help me. I am now on hold for another hour to the bank to put a dispute in. From them taking my money out of my Bank account not authorised. This is A disgraceful company and should take full responsibility & issue a refund. Instead I am now out of pocket and having to spend hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue to get a refund from my bank provider. PLEASE DO NOT USE! LASTMINUTE.COM

My family of 6 tickets order to Dubai from Manchester been cancelled after 5 days with no reason and without justification, only said that they are not able to confirm my booking, and they issued a refund for me.
Meanwhile, I have booked a hotel room and attraction tickets for my family.
For me, the Lastminute.com is an unreliable travel agency. You have to think thrice before you booking or ordering any service.

Booked a hotel, flight and Car hire with this awful company. On arrival at Palma Airport the car hire company had now record or knowledge of our booking. 2 hrs with 2 kids in 38 degrees trying to resolve with this appalling company, foreign call centre obviously frustrated with their own inability to strong two words together or even begin to explain why/what had happened. A reputable company would have paid for a taxi to hotel and had a hire car there waiting. Nothing, not even an explanation, just a poor reading from an even poorer written flowchart. Avoid this company at all costs, an e-mailed booking confirmation means absolutely nothing.

A genuine last minute decision to go to Marrakesh was easy to book but proved a big mistake. My suspicions were raised when told to pay Lastminute.com less than the quoted amount and the balance direct to the reception on arrival. It turns out the accommodation receive no monies from Lastminute, so I paid them the going rate for our stay, which was more than quoted. This means I paid Lastminute.com £795 for two easyjet flights (2 x £160) and airport transfer taxis, which locally are no more than 2 x £15. NOT HAPPY.
Wont even start on the quality of our room and the restaurant.

I booked a package deal to Cyprus for a week, planning it for the Easter Holidays. I booked and paid, including my deposit and all seemed good. Then, I get a message from them telling them that the Price is going up by 360£, so 1/4 of the price! They refused to give me my holiday, and decided that it'd be non refundable if I pulled out. It's only after I threatened legal action that they backed down and gave me my money back. Awful way to treat someone paying £1000+ in your business, then retreating to some pathetic small print hidden deep within the T&C's of the website. Poor show LastMinute, poor show.

Whatever you do, dont use Lastminute.com to book a holiday! I booked for my wife and I to attend my sister in law's wedding in Mauritius in April 2020. The flights were cancelled because of Covid and I requested a refund thinking it would be fairly straight forward.
In spite of the fact that I had no direct contact with any airline, they refused to let me have any money back until they received a refund from the airline - claiming my contract was with the airline not with them.Making contact with their Customer Service department was a nightmare and, in the end, I sent a long series of emails to the CEO who claimed my case was being dealt with as swiftly as possible.
Thus I, the customer, was expected to be out of pocket while they, the travel company were sitting pretty despite the vast difference in funds available to them. Finally I received a refund (with no added compensation!) 3 years and 2 months after the cancellation of the flights.
