lastminute.com might work if everything goes smooth and you purchase all necessary cancellation and delay insurances (given that you're a lawyer and ensure you're covered), otherwise, should there be a cancellation by the airline, you're only offered a refund in travel credit or voucher to be used by lastminute.com valid for 12 months, and you get that refund after more than a month!
They give an option for an airline refund, but then you end up getting £100 less than what you've paid, including "a refund handling fee" of £35.
Lesson learned, don't use lastminute.com and book your flights directly from airline (reason I booked by them is because they offered outbound and return bought together).
After 2 days of choosing my holidays - at the check out there's been extra 200£ charge added, which also was not explained.

This is the worst company i have ever dealt with. Despite request for cash refund they gave me voucher for cancellation of flight last year. I was told i can either redeem voucher within year or request for cash after 6 months. Almost year pass by i have requested for cash refund but they are not honouring my request.
Current status: They saying my bank rejected to accept the funds (refund from last minute) and its been two month i am asking them reason and any further feedback from bank but to no avail. It feels i am banging my head to the walls as customer service is pathetic and rude and they have stopped responding to my emails. I do not what to do.
My advise if you want to loose you money then go to last minute else i would rather pay more and purchase it directly with airline.
Took my money for flight to crete flight was cancelled on the way back ididnt want alternitive flight so i cancelled all of it because we wouldnt be able to get back wont give me my money backi am an oap and 1 thousand 500 is a lot of money to me to loose

They are cheaters. I booked a flight ticket with 84 euros and they charged the credit card with 120 euros, although the amount appear in the last step of payment was 84 euros only, and when i sent them for refunding the difference balance, they replied that the 35 euros difference is the agency commission. This is not written in any place in the website that there is agency commission with 45% of the flight ticket price!
Absolutely useless Scam artists I would NEVER EVER advise my WORST enemy to use them Nor Will I ever use them myself. I was lucky I got a refund DIRECT from airline involved who were extremely helpful As for Lastminute... Even their VIP team (very idiotic Pisstakers) were useful as a chocolate tea pot. If you can bypass these agents then do so and ask airline/travel providr to refund you directly or else LASTMINUTE will charge you many tens of pounds to refund you (as per their Terms and conditions so they say)... DONT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING LETS GET THEM BANKRUPT
In your spam email, a few days (48 hours) before you leave you will find the confirmation that your flight has left this morning.
If this is not the worst website with the biggest scam ever, than please update me on a better one.
Disgusting, displeasing and no polite word from the customer service. I am so sorry for all people that have gone through this process before. You must have felt as powerless as we are today. The only thing that we can do is complain together and raise the attention and awareness to never ever do business with this awful company: Lastminute.de or Lastminute.com (different websites for different holdings with different methods to avoid taxes).
After they send my bill total I paid and see they charge extra and there is no way that get in touch with them
I can't even sign in to my account they just cancelled my return tickets never and ever buy tickets of them

I purchase flights to the USA February 2020 and still waiting for a refund. There phones will not accept incoming calls and emails are ignored.
I sent a recorded signed for letter to the London office and received a £20 voucher wishing me happy birthday.
How is this dreadful unprofessional bunch of crooks still in business surely there is no place for a company with low morale standards. There customer so called service department might just as well resign and judging by their no response I suspect they have been let go. They are very happy to take customers money's but point blank refuse to refund.
I suspect this loathsome and contemptible company is on the verge of filing for bankruptcy/ chapter 11 protection and take our hard earned money with them.

Booked flights to alicante. Next day get email to say booking not confirmed. Book exact same flights next day. Following day get same email. 3rd time lucky - nope, same email, flights no confirmed. Called to find out why each time, they say maybe flights full now or price has increased - i booked the exact same flights at the exact same price every time. So thats blatant lie no one there that can explain, they just say you've had the email. So infuriating
I have purchased a vacation which supposed to be fully insured, hotel were showing refundable up to the vacation point, flights shows free cancellation, and car rental as well. After Government move the destination to amber list which makes it not legal to go for vacation, I have cancelled the vacation as requested on the panel for a refund and then no one get back to us and when I have contacted them by phone after so many tries the agent just said that it is ok and under processing but it takes longer due to COVID19. I had to go to my bank to have a charge back and bank informed me that they have rejected the charge back without addressing the points we have made for cancellation.
They are scam, just collect the money and for sure they will ran away and file bankruptcy when take more money from hard earning people like us.
Scam is the most suitable word for my experience with this agency, I bought fully flexible ticket as needed to travel for family emergency, it said no penalty fees for change or cancellation at any time, after purchase, it turned that I had to buy luggage as well despite being trans- continent flight. Also I had to buy additional package to allow me to contact customer service and avoid what they call handling fees. Unfortunately I needed to change my return flight, after 5 desperate calls and 3 emails, I was offered refund of 22 pounds or change of flight for additional 230 pounds. I have been told different information every time I have called, it did look every single agent was trying to find any hole in the hidden t&c to stop me from change or refund.
When booking the option to add luggage was not available and it was mentioned that this could be added later. After booking I tried to add luggage and it said it was processing this for twelve hours after which they said I would have to add it at the airport. After going to the individual airline I found that I can add luggage for less than half of what lastminute.com said it would cost but I'd have to do it with every individual airline and I would have to check in the luggage again at every airport. Upon checking other websites later I found out that you can add luggage for the whole trip if you just book through them and the trip is several hundred euros cheaper.
Update: More disaster!
While checking in for my flight (multiple airlines) I get the first two boarding passes without any problems. For some reason the third flight automatically gets checked in without me asking to do so. While the site of the first airline tells me to check in on the site of the other airline the other airline's website tells me I am already checked in but that they can't send me the boarding passes due to the booker having blocked this. I am now supposed to get off the plan. Grab my luggage. Buy luggage for the next flight. Request boarding passes at the airport. Go through customs again and make it to my gate in an hour. Avoid this booker at all costs!
I purshase a flight ticket to America with 550 euros and I cannot travel because of my visa status!

The worse travel agency ever. There is no appropriate customer service when something goes wrong!
They changed my flight date (Turkish airline) by themself to the one with an extremely long transit time and sent a confirmation e-mail giving me about two days to confirm it. I received it in my spam and didn't know about it until I realized something is wrong. After two days it was automatically confirmed without any further notice!
Although I booked a full flex flight with the insurance, they were not willing to change it to my desired date. Finally, I had to pay 100 Euro extra money for the different flight in order to reduce the transit time!

On the 29/03/2021 i received an email from Lastminute.com informing me that my package holiday had unfortunately been cancelled i would as per our contract get a full refund this process should only take 3 weeks roughly
Its now 13/05/2021 and according to the web site its still being processed?
There is no answer to the phones none to emails and i can find NO other way to contact them ive looked at ATOL and quite frankly they are useless and yet i see Lastminute are still taking bookings on line
Can some Government agency please step up and just do something!
Answer: I want an email address for LastMinute.com through which to log my complaint and ask for an explanation and partial refund.
