I recently had my Toshiba laptop screen suddenly crash. I did my research with computer repair shops. They wanted to charge over $200 for a new screen. I decided that is a little steep so I searched for buying a screen directly so I can do it myself. I found several websites and this one was the least expensive. In addition, it had the best warranty (3 years) compared to only 12 months or less. The other important factor was being able to choose a (new) glossy screen instead of matte. Some websites will not let you choose and hence whatever type they want to send is what you will get. Once I placed the order it was sent on the 4th of July (Monday) and came in Wednesday. It was not damaged and it works great. I had good experience with this website and I would use it again.

Replacement screen for a Acer Aspire laptop fits perfectly. Same viewing experience as the original one. It took about 5 minutes to get the old screen out and find the exact part number. Replacement was installed in even less minutes. I viewed a view youtube videos in advance to see how to get the sreen out without damaging the plastic clicking mechanism in the Acer lid. Clear website with added help if you need it to find the correct replacement. Pricing including shipping and VAT still considerable lower than ordering from companies in my country (Netherlands).

I thought replacing my wife's broken laptop screen would be a costly proposition if performed by a repair shop or the manufacturer requiring special tools and skills. What a pleasant surprise to find out how mistaken I was!

Laptop Screen started badly on Sitejabber – they spammed the site in April 2011 with dozens of fake reviews and that annoyed quite a few reviewers. They also had problems with a handful of customers who had less than satisfactory service by the company and made their feelings known.

On the plus side, since this review was originally posted, they have revamped the company systems, organised to deal with negative customer feedback in more supportive way, and have garnered a whole host of (hopefully genuine) positive reviews.

Let's look on this as a win for Sitejabber, but also a win for Laptopscreen.com who have ended up with a better business and a much higher percentage of happy customers. I wish them success.

The lesson to all businesses is – don't spam review sites – the sh*t will hit the fan and take a long time to clear up!

Best Buy told me it would cost $350 to have my shattered laptop screen replaced. I purchased a new screen by identifying the brand/model number and it arrived in a few days. The replacement was relatively easy (watch the Youtube video first) and my kids laptop was fully functional again. All this at a price of $75 and some time. I was so thrilled I told my sister, who also had a broken screen and had gotten the same $350 cost from Best Buy, and she followed suit. We replaced her screen and she's back in business again too! I checked around to other sites and the prices on laptopscreen.com were the best I had seen. I'd recommend this website to anyone who is somewhat handy and tired of overpaying the big box retailers!

I accidently broke a screen on my brad new laptop. I called quite few places to get the quote on screen replacement and was shocked by the prices thrown at me. Some of them were as high as $599.99. The whole new laptop doesn't cost this much. So i was about to give up and just go buy the new one and gave it a last try by googling "screen replacement". I had someone's Asus X51 notebook with a damaged screen and finding the right screen for this model was simple with their website. For the screen and shipping was a little more than I expected, but that is probably because I am basing previous screen replacement off of a couple years ago when the US and Canadian dollars were closer, so the poorer dollar could be making a difference. But even at around $100, it was still cheaper than buying a new laptop and my customer is happy to have a working laptop once again. Thank you!

Just saw all the bad reviews for this site. I have to say my experience was fine. My daughter dropped my wife's toshiba laptop and the screen was toast. I probably would not have ordered from them had a seen these reviews but I did and the screen arrived and works just fine. This was in April 2011 so maybe they have improved? I'll note that I have never posted here before and the only reason I'm doing so is that I got an email from the company asking me to review them here.

I ordered a new screen for my badly cracked Toshiba. Toshiba wanted $400 to swap. Found it for less than $100 shipped. This was for an improved IPS matte display instead of the low tech glossy original that had poor viewing angle. Shipping time over the holidays was prompt with great tracking info.

Installation was a snap with the step by step instructions. Took less than 30 minutes to have the 2 year old Toshiba looking better than evenr

I was looking for an lcd screen for an old laptop. I ordered one from a seller on eBay first, but it was the wrong type of panel, even though their description matched my part number. That was a complete waste of time.

I then stumbled across the LaptopScreen website and thought I'd give them a try. The screen was perfect and my old laptop now has a new lease of life. My kids can use it for homework whilst I enjoy my new shiny laptop in peace.

I would definitely use this site again and highly recommend it if you're looking for a new screen!

As always, one can only comment on his firsthand experiences. Mine was great. I had a damaged HP LED. Looked up a replacement by the laptop model #. Since I've been burned before I also took the precaution to disassemble the laptop to get the LED's HP part #. With that part # I was able to quickly verify the two available replacement options (glossy/matte). I ordered the matte replacement and it came in about 4 days brand new and undamaged. It works fine, looks great and the price was fair all the way around.

Others may have (or may yet) experience something different but I will not hesitate to return in the future.
