Purchased a laptop online. Processed payment. But not reponding to communication or enquiries. We are still waiting. Have not seen the laptop. I am about to take them to Consumer court. Be very careful what you buy here.

Just bought 2 x Lenovos - one 32g gamer and an 8g worker
All specs met as advertised
Machines v clean and loaded up with windows 10 and working perfectly
Don Ho was responsive by email and provided v good price including express post.
All good though I was v nervous at first after reading some of the negative reviews. Only had the two laptops for a week but so far not a problem and would recommend them and will use them again.
PS I live remotely and rely on air express and the packaging to protect both laptops was first class

Cannot be trusted
September 20, 2018

You can make own decision based on this sequence of events.

Trader provided laptop with significantly inferior specifications.
Trader offers a paltry compensation for major problems.
Laptop breaks entirely in under a month.
Initially refused to accept returns, despite this being stated on their own terms and conditions because it's too expensive.
Consumer initiates dispute proceedings initiated with bank.
After that trader says they will send a new one.
Refund requested as per their own terms and Victorian Consumer Law.
Broken laptop returned, express post with signature.
Sits at post office for almost a week; trader needs to be reminded to collect it.
Trader sends replacement laptop despite repeat requests for a refund. Claims they only have to offer refund after 30 days from purchase (their consistent delays have caused more than 30 days to pass)
Consumer initiates formal complaint with Consumer Affairs.

"Laptop" website carried numerous & various options at below retail store prices. Communications on specs and delivery were prompt. My strong suspicions of online "store" purchasing were unfounded. Don was helpful and offered options and after sales instructions when requested. Scratches on cover of refurbished machine were openly advised. Wish they provided a service of purchase and installing of MS Office.

They only tale credit card payments, which is a bit of a concern at first. And there was a Little bit of communication hiccups at the beginning, but it all worked out brilliantly. My daughter recieved a perfectly working out of the box mac book and I couldnt be happier with the commmunication that followed. I will be getting my next lap top through these guys too.

Was recommended to this place by a friend. Extremely Happy with service and product. Dealt with Jesse via e-mail. I did have an issue with the battery after originally getting Thinkpad W530 but issue was resolved shortly after with a new battery sent to me.
Couldn't be happier and will recommend to others

What do yo say about a company who does not reply to emails two and a half days after being sent. Good before service communication however to date have received no after sale correspondence. Laptop (MacBook Pro) described as "... excellent condition. Im sure you will be pleased with it. No dents and no noticeable scratches" however I received laptop with a dent on right side of screen. Purchased extra warranty however this appears to be worthless given to date the comp and refused to acknowledge my emails (x3)... anyway if you are reading this review you have been warned and I will continue to update re progress or lack of. It appears it's off to the office of consumer affairs (vic) I go to lodge a formal complaint given the lack of correspondence to my emails

Like a few others here I placed an order, then stumbled across these reviews and started to become very nervous! I had ordered this for work (on behalf of another employee) and was immediately concerned when I didn't receive a confirmation email. I however followed Kelly's instructions and emailed to request another copy, which came through within 5 hours of my email request. I ordered on a Friday, product was dispatched on Monday afternoon and received Wednesday! Kelly provided great initial and follow up service. Product was exactly as advertised and works well. No complaints here and I wouldn't hesitate to use this service again!

It is true that this exchange had since been at least partially resolved, it was by no means one that I consider to be a happy ending - it was merely an ending that I could begrudgingly accept.
The bottom line is that yes, they eventually sent me a replacement laptop and they are being truthful in their statement that they upgraded both the Ram and the hard drive.
However, the replacement laptop came with a further expense of postage, and was even worse than the original they had sent me. It had the same insufficient graphics card, but the replacement added the most unwelcome addition of reducing the 3.5g processor to a barely functional 2.5g one.
I for one would much rather have received the product I ordered rather than what they sent. I would have even preferred the first laptop to the insult of the second.
So sure, this has been resolved but I am far from a satisfied customer - a more accurate statement would be that I am a customer willing to accept trash, because trash is superior to the headaches that serve as the alternative.

Unless you find some kind of strange joy in dealing with the legal system, it is best to avoid laptop.com.au
I made a purchase from them and the product they sent me had vastly different specs to what was advertised. After a brief exchange, they agreed to send me a computer that actually meets the specs that I ordered, upon me sending the less powerful computer back. So I absorbed the added cost of posting the laptop back to them, but that turned out to be a mistake.
Now I have no laptop and laptop.com.au are boldly admitting they have no intention of sending me anything.
There is a lesson to be learned from my experience: when you are dealing with a blatant bait and switch, don't be foolish enough to think it was an accident. Dealing further with such a criminal entity will only result in further losses (and headaches) on your end.

Buy with Confidence
September 26, 2017

When buying online there is always a sense of trepidation. A true indication of a business is how they respond to any problems and will they stand behind the product? I bought an MSI laptop last week. It arrived very quickly, on the second day. The packaging is fantastic, so much so that I'm keeping it! The plastic tube protector Fits my wheeled case perfectly. As this is a 17" it will be great for travel- so thank you for approaching packaging so wisely. With any purchase of a new computer, I expect some software work to be done. Kelly is a treasure, she has proved without question her commitment to getting it all sorted out. The management has shown they support her in her role and are prepared to stand by the product. Kelly and the company, has certainly earned the 5 stars.

I ordered a HP Envy 17 jo10tx, and was a bit skeptical due to the price, however it arrived so quickly and works perfectly!

It shipped with a 1TB HDD instead of a 2TB HDD, and Kelly very promptly fixed this by sending me the 2TB HDD, and even let me keep the 1TB HDD, sending a free USB Enclosure so I can now use it as an external drive. Amazing service and Kelly was on top of it!

Would absolutely recommend to a friend.

"SCAM OR NOT?"
August 15, 2017

I bought an HP laptop worth 659$ I asked Kelly if the laptop is not defective, she replied that it's all working. But when I got the laptop, when I turn the power button on, the screen remains dead and the capslock LED light keeps on blinking. I sent an email 3 times to them but they're not responding anymore. Goodbye to 659$

Hi Jazner. Just spotted your review. Sorry your emails were sent late afternoon and evening. Sometimes I do respond after hours if I happen to be still catching up on things but I don't officially work then. I always reply to emails within 24 hours and working days and usually much sooner than that. Sorry again for your issue on arrival. As you now know yesterday you were sent return shipping details for your dead on arrival laptop and we are covering return shipping costs and providing a full refund as requested. Sorry again for the inconvenience and thanks again for you and your aunt's time and effort in sending it.

I have appreciated the prompt responses to my emails from Kelly. She arranged for replacement software under warranty and ensured I wasn't out of pocket for the postage. At all times she was courteous and helpful even offering helpful suggestions re getting the best performance from my new laptop. It's the first time I've bought a laptop online and even though there was a slight hick up (which can happen anywhere) Kelly's after sales service was excellent and the problem was resolved.

Fraudulent operator
July 27, 2017

Bought and paid for a laptop, then advised it wasnt in stock, did I want something else. Opted for the replacement, went to pick it up and they dont operate from the premises they say in all their documentation. Dodgy! Have asked for a full refund and if I dont receive it ASAP, will go to the authorities. They dont even rate a 1 star!

Hi Tim. We have a warehouses in Springvale and Richmond (Vic). However, yes collection is not available at either, we only ship out. I'm sorry that we were out of stock on your model which I advised you of last night. As per my email I offered you a choice between a full refund or another model. I'm sorry that you thought that you could collect it. I only read your response this afternoon and refunded you in full within five minutes of receiving it. Sorry again for the inconvenience.

This is baloney.
I bought a ex-demo model from laptop.com on January 17th 2017, the internet would freeze, my brother fixed it, nothing to do with your instructions Kelly.
The cd opener would NOT open, my Dad has to use a paper clip as Kelly suggested, what type of laptop is this?
It is a dodgy laptop, Kelly Wilson would NOT provide me with a NEW REPLACEMENT MODEL OR MY $1004 REFUNDED, I'm still under the 1 year WARRANTY. Kelly sent me shipping instructions and advised me via email I HAVE TO COVER SHIPPING COSTS to rectify the laptop defects.
My Dad informed me there were negative reviews on here and I decided to WARN POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS DO NOT BELIEVE THE STAFF(Kelly Wilson) THEY ARE PAID TO SELL YOU THE LAPTOP.
Please report them to Fair Trading, the more complaints the better for consumer power and a REFUND/REPLACEMENT NEW MODEL.

It was a waste of time and $1004 on faulty software, faulty cd opener, faulty USB port(I could NOT find my files) this money came out of my savings account and I'm a full-time student.

My parents can NOT install or use Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint, Word, Database; the MICROSOFT PACKAGE SHOULD HAVE COME WITH THIS FAULTY LAPTOP.

I wish I had known about this site BEFORE I PURCHASED MY LAPTOP.

I WANT MY $1004 REFUNDED!

2 years later... I would like to add Kelly Wilson has blocked me so I cannot communicate with her via email.

I would like my refund or replacement as the warranty has now passed.

Did I pay GST for this junk (laptop)?

Kelly Willson tried to silence me, by getting the company's solicitor involved, here is the extract:
"On the manager's request I have forwarded your correspondence and screenshots of your review to the company's solicitor. Please do not send me similar emails or unfortunately I will be obliged to also forward them".

Sadly communication has been very difficult with this customer and as of today we have still not had the opportunity to confirm any issues.

This laptop was purchased 17/01/2017.

23/02/2017 (1 month after purchase) we were advised that 'the internet freezes and collapses'.
I advised simple instructions on how to quickly reset the software back to how it was when received in order to eliminate it being a software issue.
We did not hear from them again from February until June so we assumed the issue was resolved and the customer later confirmed that it was.

23/06/2017 (5 months after purchase) we were advised that 'the cd drive is not opening on the laptop, you sold me a lemon' and customer demanded a refund / new laptop. Toshiba does not refund/replace after five months as it falls under warranty. This is also the case with the other laptop manufacturers.
As per Toshiba's advice I advised them to try a straightened paperclip in the reset hole and that if no luck with that then under warranty we or Toshiba could view the laptop and replace the optical drive on the laptop, or if it suited them better we could even simply get Toshiba to send them a replacement drive which is easy to pop in (video tutorial provided) - we like to provide as many options as possible.

27/06/2017 customer then advised that the 'USB drive' (I assume they mean USB port) does not work. I then advised that either Toshiba or we can look at it (and provided shipping instructions), whichever suited them better. Given the former communication difficulties I truly thought it best for all to jump to looking at it, despite that it could easily be a device issue.

For the record I am not on commission and I help everyone as best I can, including this customer.

From the business

Buy cheap laptops from us today with excellent customer service and a full 1 year warranty. We have cheap refurbished/used laptops and bargain ex-demo laptops. Delivered to you Australia wide for the low price of just $4 per laptop.
