I ordered 2 shirts and got them today and didn't like style and going to return them back tomorrow and they have the nerve to deduct $6.95 from my total to pay for their shipping charge back to their company?!?! So I told them that it was not fair and that it was ridiculous! Will never order from them again! They are ripoffs!
I'm done. Ordered my seven-year-old an a size large and my five-year-old a size small winter jackets on October 30. I received an email that the shipping was delayed that it wouldnt arrive until November 16. Ok, no big deal. Then, only one jacket arrived the size small so I called them asking about the other jacket. They informed me that the large size was no longer available. So I decided to re-order another small in the style of jacket my oldest daughter wanted. Three days later, I received an email that the shipment was delayed and it wouldn't ship until December 11. At this point we've already had one month of very cold weather. I decided to wait, even though they offered no discount or apology over the phone, just a poor operator who's overseas somewhere.
Today I received an email that the jacket is no longer available. WTH is going on? Seriously it's messed up that I had to piece together warm clothes while being strung along. I'm done, I'll get another jacket someplace else
I ordered a Christmas gift on 11/22/23 for my granddaughter which was a weekender bag monogrammed with her initials. On 12/2/23 I received an email stating that the order was delayed due to abundance of orders and I would be notified when it would be shipped. I spoke to customer service today 12/11/23 who stated the company cancelled the order because it could not be fulfilled because of the monogramming. However I was never notified of the cancellation. Deeply disappointed that the company cares so little about their customers. Now I'm scrambling to find something comparable for my granddaughter 2 weeks before Christmas.
I place an order on Wednesday at noon west coast time / 3pm easy coast. One would think it would ship the same day. 4 days on and it is still "processing" - what the hell? 4 days to put a couple shirts in a box? In the age of Amazon delivering same day, how do a company like this even stay in business. If I don't see my order shipped Monday morning, I'm canceling.
Land's End can't expect to compete in the online shopping market when they take 10+ days to ship an order with a singular in stock item. And when missing deadlines of 10-14 days, which is already completely unheard of in this day and age of 2 day turnaround, they still expect the customer to pay $6.95 to return the item that they did not deliver after two weeks time to do so. Their shipping and return policies reveal quite a presumptuous opinion of themselves to think their customers are that loyal to their brand to accept those archaic terms rather than take their business to their competitors.
Was told returning items for merchandise credit with Happy Returns would be instant, but it took 11 days to exchange a pair of pants. I had to call three times! Don't buy at Lands End! LL Bean has much better service and quality clothing
I tried to cancel my order soon after I ordered but i won't be able to make any change and cancel.
The sizing was way too large. I think shipping cost is high and to return they charge 6.95. I felt like Happy Returns and lands end scamming.
They rescinded a discount by charging my card $30 more 5 days later and did not contact me. I had to find out from PayPal.
I ordered a coat on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, I saw the coat was significantly discounted. I called and spoke to someone who said I should have received the discount, since my order fell within the promotion window; she took notes and advised me to call back during the week. When I called back I was put through to Chris in customer service who said there was no record of my call and no notes. I asserted that I had called and tried to quote prices, but she constantly interrupted me. I asked her if she could email me information she had provided; I thought this would be useful as there didn't seem to be any record of my previous call. She told me this wasn't possible. She suggested I email the company. I did and included screen shots I took of the new price on the site as proof of my claim. (I just had a feeling I'd need those pics.) At present I'm awaiting a reply. But based on this experience, I don't have high hopes.
Two weeks ago, I ordered a couple of bedding items from Land's End, which I hoped to use at Thanksgiving. Two weeks later...no bedding, and no customer support. I have called, chatted and texted with Land's End, and no one knows where my parcel is, although my credit card has been billed for the full amount. I will never shop with Land's End again. Customer service is beyond awful.
If you order something from Lands' End, I highly recommend you do so 2 weeks or more before you need it. The shipping is the slowest of any other vendor I order from. Invariably their shipper is always late. I ordered something 14 days ago and called customer service; they don't know when it may arrive, and DHL has no details on why it is delayed or if it will ever arrive. They offered me a refund, but my item is now out of stock. No solution. Someone in leadership should really empower customer service to provide real solutions for the people calling them. That is the purpose of our call. Equip your people, Land's End!
I paid $29 extra for expedited shipping for delivery in 4 days. It did not even ship by the 4th day. Very disappointed. On the 4th day, the day I needed it by, since it hadn't shipped yet, I called to cancel the order and was told it could not be canceled and I'd have to call back the next day to cancel it. Very disappointed.
Horrible customer service! Supervisor wouldn't even pick up the phone she rudely put me on speaker. I bought something on Wednesday late night and Friday there was a sale. I hadn't even received my shipment yet and there was a 50% off sale. I asked to have a price adjustment and was told too bad it's a weekend sale. Nothing else was offered to accommodate a $50 overcharge. What ever happened to this company with their customer last policy. Never dealing with this company again. Everything is overpriced anyway and have bad customer service.
Oof, paid $17.95 for express shipping. My item is expected to arrive in 8 days. Chatted with a customer service rep who said since I ordered on a Friday, they would give me a courtesy refund of the shipping cost. Okay.sorry to order on a Friday. He also didn't introduce himself or anything during the chat and was slow and unfriendly. Not great experiences at all.*editing to add my item is now expected another day later!
We ordered a snowsuit for my son nine days ago. It's in stock but hasn't even shipped yet, and no one can seem to help.
I have shopped Le simce they go itst started selling canvas boat bags. Unfortunately since the Sears take-over snd Amazon sell off their on-line software, product quality and site friendliness have suffered. Their agents on phone can only respond to customer complaints with corporate scripts. I will not shop there again
Order 2 sweaters 1 month ago. They still have not shipped and are in stock. The deal was at 40% off...they probably want me to cancel so they can sell at full retail price.
Customer service reps are great and try their best to be helpful. However, their inventory system is a disaster. Had to order a sweater three times because I kept getting notices that it was not in stock. When I called, they acknowledged a problem with their inventory control and the incorrect emails that I have been receiving. Got the first order, assumed the problem had been corrected and ordered an additional item. Now I have the same problem as I got an email saying it was not in stock. Called again and it is in stock. Don't waste your time trying to order something. Their system is a mess but kudos to the customer service reps. They are so patient and so nice.
A friend and I shopped at the Fair Lakes store in Fairfax Virginia on 10/12. Diana was very helpful - showing us where to find the clothes we sought. She helped us in making choices for our different sizes and styles. She assisted my friend in ordering items online that were not in the store. She made this an very enjoyable shopping experience.
WOW! I wish I would have looked at the reviews before I placed my order. Placed my $654 to have for a conference that begins on 10/16. I placed the order on 10/1 and on 10/15 it still shows processing. It also still shows an estimated arrival of 10/5-10/10 on all items. I called customer service on 10/12 and spoke with a very plesant agent. She said she had been with the company for 38 years and had never seen anything like the shipping issues that they were currently experiencing. I asked about canceling the order and she advised that she would request the cancelation but could not offer a guarantee. I thanked her and said I would contact Amex to receive a refund. Love their products but will NEVER order again!
Answer: They charged me shipping on my order. (I no longer patronize them because they charge for shipping returns, even if the product is deficient.)
Answer: Beware of Lands End's current "free" shipping scam. We get emails almost daily from Lands End offering discounts on certain items or even any item they carry and the have also been offering "free" shipping. Of course almost every online shopping site is offering free shipping right now. The difference between all other sites/sellers free shipping is that they will either give it to UPS, FedEX, or the USPS and those people make the actual delivery to your door in a few days. I'm assuming it is an effort to save money Lands End "free" ships packages via UPS BUT only to your closest major postal facility and drops all the "free" shipments there. It is then up to the USPS to sort everything and deliver the package to your home. This can result in a delay of from several days to a week or more. Our latest purchase was dropped at the sorting facility on 12/5. From there it needed to be sorted and delivered to the mail facility that handles home mail deliveries. Bottom line is that we didn't get the delivery until 12/9. That is after leaving the Lands End warehouse on! 2/2. I get shipments from LL Bean or Amazon purchases delivered in 2-3 days. The response we got after questioning Lands End was that if we want deliveries in 2-3 days we would have to pay for shipping. Considering the delivery times I get from other sellers offering free shipping, I think Lands End is misleading customer's expectations of "free" shipping. Come on Lands End, I want that big brown truck to bring my packages to my front door and want it to be REALLY free or you have lost a long time customer.
Answer: I don;t know about knit pants but I have had the Starfish for a couple of years now and they don't become baggy--just a little but they bounce right back after washing. I was very happy with mine, went to get a new pair and ended up with a pair I cannot wear. Dismayed to find that returns are too complicated (expensive, too) so will be getting out the sewing machine to make them fit (they are huge in the thigh). I think the problem lies with having ordered Tall. The old pants are just Regular. Be careful about sizing!
Answer: Several years ago i ordered 5 bridesmaid dresses from LE. I had to send two back for a different size. The replacement dresses were a slightly different shade of the color. Then had to send all 5 dtesses back to get all same color. What a mess!
