My spouse and I have COVID, thought we would try the Kroger's delivery service. We went on line, filled the cart with $85 worth of groceries and the delivery arrived a few hours later. The only item in the bag was one pack of hotdogs. We were charged $10 for the delivery, tried calling the Kroger in Milford, Michigan without any success. We were told that a third party contractor, Instacart, were responsible. The delivery person indicated that in the past 4 days all the Kroger deliveries were wrong, indicating that Kroger's was to blame as all they do is pickup the order that was called in and deliver it. I had heard from an acquaintance that Kroger's had delivered the wrong medication from their pharmacy, and though she called immediately, did not open the bottle- Kroger's refused to take it back, instead charging her approximately $100 for the wrong medication. This is a senior living check to check.
I spent 1 1/2 hours shopping at kroger in Rockwall. On N. GOLIAD this morning. When I first walked in blueberries 1.8 oz were 4.99, I'm one person they had a smaller package. 98 of an once no difference in price. Asked the woman in the produce dept. Showed her the difference in the weight, her answer was I don't know they just tell us to put it there. Go to the fresh bread isle you know where they make it fresh. There were knats flying inside the closed bag. I brought it to the attention to the ladies behind the counter. They told me to leave it there. I told there are more bags with knats in it. Didn't buy bread. Went up every isle. I should of left when I saw the bread. But grocery shopping is not my favorite thing to do. After I had my large cart filled. They had one lane open. And no bagger. If I were at Aldi I would understand. But why do I have to do there job. And pay high prices for it. I Get they may be short handed. But there was 3 large orders in front of me. Asked if they could open another lane. Was told to use the self check out. Again my cart was full. And I'm tired of baggers putting snowball in with my fresh veggies. I asked the young bagger don't they give you a crash court on how to do this answer was no. I called to complain they offered me 30.00 credit. I can make more than that working on ebay. I'm tired of the way they treat people. Left my basket and went Bad news on N. GOLIAD IN ROCKWALL TEXAS. Left my groceries and went to Aldi.
I was so excited to try Kroger! The idea of fresh food delivered to my doorstep while shopping in their massive website sounded great. But, it was a nightmare. I placed 4 orders in 4 weeks and every single one was wrong, overcharged, items missing, no substitutions made, they don't honor their coupons so I've had to call 4 times to get refund for correct prices, hold times are EXTREME, and they aren't honoring this last one for 14.79. On a 188.00 order! Yep, it's just 15 bucks but hey, that is food or gas money.
Not happy at all with this lousy customer service. The web site is really slow too, making it an ordeal just to order.
I was treated horribly in a store. I emailed and called Kroger. Not once did anyone from the actual store or Corporate call me to resolve it. They truly don't care. Guess I need an attorney?
I would never, EVER support a company that supports US Government Human Experimentation disguised as supporting the US Troops! Any organization that does NOT do it's research on where it's candidates come from should not be rewarded. Boycott this food chain.
On Wednesday, September 14,2022 I placed an order on Kroger for a total of five items. The combined total of these items was $76.60 not including a $3.83 tip that would be contingent on getting at least a minimal level of service (the items actually arriving at my house).
While I waited around an hour for any sign of life from the order, I received a notification that the shopper had begun. Shortly after, I received two separate notifications letting me know an item will be refunded due to it not being in stock. I DID specify that they could pick an alternative for the item as it's real easy to find a replacement cheese for a mild cheddar, but the shopper decided they didn't want to do that. In a little bit, I received the notification that the shopper was done and that it would be delivered.
Generally, the process involves me receiving a notification that the delivery driver has left the store, and another letting me know they are approaching. Once I received the notification the delivery driver has left the store, I headed to the living room to greet them. They never arrived. After around 20 minutes, I received a notification that my order had been delivered. It had, in fact, not been delivered.
Upon checking my order, I noticed there were two glaring issues here:
1) The order it was showing was clearly NOT my keto-friendly order, but in fact a lot of items that were not only non-keto, but seemed to be for children.
2) My $76.60 order turned into $197.14. I clearly never agreed to this.
I contacted Kroger immediately. Across four phone calls and two attempts to resolve this with a chat agent, I finally got someone who could at least admit that something was wrong with the order. They never did admit fault and at some point even tried to assume I was lying about all of this. Regardless, they let me know they would send a request to finance to refund me my order.
Shortly after this, I received an email notification. This email outlined that I could receive the refund for the order in 7-10 business days. Having been in the other end of this situation, I know their finance department could've just voided out the charge and it wouldn't have actually hit my account. It held as an approximately $80 hold on the account for a few days, and hit the account as the full $197.14 I did not consent to sending.
I've tried to reach out to get this resolved faster, but have had no response from Kroger or any of their customer service representatives. I've also been blatantly hung up on once they see my phone number. It's clear they don't want to make good on their promises, even when someone is paying them extra for an annual subscription.
This company has become very unreliable and irresponsible.
The drivers are supposed to notify the customer when they arrive. Only twice has anyone contacted me and that's when they were lost.
Kroger has weekly specials and digital coupons. If they substitute they are supposed to honor the special even if the substitution is more expensive.
In the last two weeks I have been overcharged by a total of $22 because they didn't follow policy.
Kroger says they can't issue a refund. Only give a credit for the next order.
When you call the customer service number many times you are connected with someone who has a very limited understanding of the English language. When they try to repeat what you said they become confused and are nowhere near correct.
I ordered groceries from Pick N Save like I have done many times before. This time, however - Kroger would be handling the delivery. I got a text that my delivery was complete - no groceries. Got on line with customer service - they could not locate my groceries. Sat on hold 45 minutes - they promised to get me a refund but had no idea where my order was. In the meantime, my neighbor came to my door and asked if I had ordered. They came to her home - she told them she didn't order anything - they did not ask her address - just dropped the groceries on her front stoop and said to either keep them or throw them away. She and I had to walk back and forth retrieving my groceries, which had now sat out in the heat for over an hour. Customer service said they were refunding my money due to the inconvenience. 4 days later, still no refund. I called to ask about the refund, now customer service says, well you got your groceries so no refund. No refund of the delivery fee, no refund of the spoiled groceries... nothing. I will never shop with Kroger again
I have bought food here that was found to be less fresh! If I had A car I'd go anywhere but here. Stale bread eggs that made us sick and spoiled milk that I had just purchased. Rotten sweet potatos. A dead bee in strawberries. Moldy jello once. Eggroles that gave me food poison. I saw white mold on beef jerky that I decide not to purchase and gave it to one of the workers there because it looked gross.not to mention years ago found a piece of glass in my food I purchased from the area where they sell lunch meat cooked chicken and ready made Food. I bit into it and felt something hard and it was a chunk of glass from there containers. It's kind of laughable that there commercial say fresher than fresh when many times that's just not the case and in fact sometimes food I buy at Kroger either ends up returned or in my trash. I return the spoiled milk once but most of time I don't feel like the hassle and I just toss it in the trash. I actually got sick from there food not knowing it was bad like there eggs once made me very sick and there frozen Eggroles years later made me very sick. I get all my flue shots and vaccines and I'm pretty sure Kroger eggs made us sick because only people that got sick were the ones whom ate the boiled eggs. I remember that Easter I was laying on the bathroom floor poo and pukeing my guts out! I never been so sick in my life after eat Kroger eggs. My guest that ate the boiled eggs called and said they also became sick and the ones that didn't eat boiled eggs were fine. Thats why I'm pretty sure it was there eggs. Also I'm the type that don't keep anything past expiration date. It's A gamble. Sometimes there food is ok and sometimes it's not. I had A friend tell me she and her grandson got sick after eat kroge potatoes. In 2021 I felt like I was going to die after eating there Eggroles but fortunately I was fine the next day.
I have my elderly, ailing mother set up with a Kroger delivery account attached to my credit card. Today's first order totaled $312.52. She received a message that the delivery had been delivered to the front porch. She went to get it and it wasn't there. She calls the local store in The Woodlands and the manager 1) is rude, 2) doesn't care - says it's Instacart's fault. She calls Kroger 800 # and waits forever to talk with someone. It's not resolved. Finally, four hours after the delivery, she finds the order in the BACKYARD at the back gate on the driveway! Of the $312.52, $115.70 in cold and frozen foods were ruined sitting in the 90-degree sun on the driveway! I call the local store 5X and no one ever answers the phone. As I type this, I have now been on hold with the Kroger 800# for 30 minutes. Worst customer service ever! If someone is ordering through the KROGER.com website, you'd expect Kroger to fix the issue. But everyone wants to pass the buck. If this doesn't get resolved, I will go to my own credit card and have the order backed off. I will NEVER set foot in a Kroger again. HEB would have fixed this problem immediately.
I left Kroger a couple of years ago, but made the mistake of trying them again. Kroger is only a few blocks whereas my current store is 3 miles. So I thought I'd dash in to see if the store I used to shop at before they became insufferable had improved. Nope. This time when the cashier badgered me to fill out the fuel card form, and I said I didn't want to, he held up the line and continued nagging, when I wanted out of the store. Then he LAUGHED at me and dragged customers in line into it. "Why doesn't she want the card?" And so this woman behind me also started laughing. I'm still stunned by what happened.
I told a floor manager as I was leaving. But since it's a mgt thing to get people to use the card, nothing wil change. I don't even use that gas station. So I will never return to Kroger. I'd rather drive the 3 miles to the store that treats me well every time.
The title says it: back to back rudeness, excuses for poor management, failure to adequately staff checkouts and stock shelves etc. More excuses and failure to assist. I suspect this long known institution is going out of business. I even wrote the home office: they were "sorry." I am with a different store today and am treated with respect in a large and well-stocked business. So long Kroger.
Boost is 60 dollars? They used to take off by swiping you're Kroger's card. Now no discount on already Hyper inflated prices. I won't even buy a overpriced pack of ramen noodles from Kroger's. Nothing i buy from Kroger's. They are so Super overpriced. Almost double to triple the price of competitors.
I quit buying meat there because it was so awful spoiled and they kept selling it to just buying certain little items there because it is close to my house that was a big mistake had some digital coupons and used them which I thought my bill was over $100 so I knew something was wrong so rather that hold up the line I come home to figure it out got a hold of Kroger's cuz they ripped me off and when the person asked me if I could send her the picture of the discount it magically disappeared from my account so the moral of the story is I need to stay the hell out of Kroger's I advise everybody to be on their toes when they're in there because they're obviously ripping people off I will be turning them into the better Business bureau
You people are raising prices just to raise them. A few examples Betty crocker angel food cake your price $4.29 Walmart $2.83.
It is a disgrace! Charging $23 for a small pkg of pork chops. Many other things way over the top on pricing. My friends and I are now shopping at different stores. I am not paying extra for some damn CEOs yacht. There are only 5 items that are your brand that I will continue to purchase. Your disgraceful!
This company needs to take care of ALL their stores not just the ones in nicer areas, the store on 10th and shortridge is the busiest in the state, yet its old dirty and needs more employees, the ones they have try very hard but it's just ridiculous. Long lines daily, had to wait for the deli worker to come back from break to get anything, due to Noone to fill in for her! We matter too Kroger!
I am over 65 years old. I have downloaded the Kroger app with help from a young lady cashier at kroger. I sent my husband with my card after i clipped a coupon for chicken. I was making him a birthday dinner. It would not work for him at the store. Three people would not give him the discount. He did not return home with the chicken. My dinner of course was ruined. My biggest complaint is that these digital coupons are not fair to older folks who are not computer savvy and to those who do not own a smart phone. Everyone is not capable and or interested in downloading every app. I feel like these digital coupons are in disregard for many especially in the older generation. The card should be enough. Employees actually scowl at customers. They could care less about helping at all. Cashier bagged groceries and left them on the counter. No help at all! I asked a simple question and just got an angry stare! No manager on site. Is this attitude because they are unionized? Awful. I will only go to Publix from now on.
Watermelon Seeded Indian Hills are mushy horrible. I returned 2 don't buy. Any Kroger's sells the watermelon for $5.99.
The last 4 weeks I decided to closely check my receipt and every week I wss overcharged or double charged.
I worked at the Kroger in Carmel ******* N Michigan Rd. Let's just say I would not recommend anyone as far as adult, & teenagers in school or college. Find a job where it's going too get you too your career path. Kroger is not a good job. Pay is horrible ( they're so behind on there pay rate it's ridiculous). When I worked there I learned a lot from the pickup department but the manager was rude communication terrible. Cut my hours from 30-40 hours a week, too 15-20. They were even cutting college kids hours too. I can't live off of that, when I explained to the store manager Christopher but it was always excuses. That I refuse too tolerate. If any one does work here just if I were you have it as a 2 income cause working here is not worth it. You will be disappointed. The crazy thing is when I put my 2 weeks notice in that's when they wanted too give me my hours. I said too late now I've moved on from you guys.
Answer: Kroger began cheating people out of money at their self checkouts.
Answer: I tried for 2 hours to get in touch with a human. Chat agent, Yelhen let me sit there and then went AWOL. Called every 800 number I could find...impossible to get past the bots. I called the local store in Livonia,,MI - phone rings, then you get music, phone rings then get music, I was in that loop for 15 minutes. The only way to get ahold of a human is to go to a store, they can't blow you off then. Do not ever start me their over priced products.
