Terrible customer service. For context I work for a company that has a corporate discount, which was denied due to a missing header (because you know, a lot of information is stored in those headers right? Proof of employment was sent, guess that doesn't count for anything). Thing is I've been apart of the EPP (exclusive partner program) for the past 2 years all I'm trying to do is renew it. But still even several emails later they still deny me for renewal. Here's the kicker, I have 2 colleagues who used the SAME application I did and they were approved within 2 days for the discount. How does one even explain that? Needless to say I'm pretty upset, I feel singled out and left with perhaps finding a new mobile carrier to call home.

The worst phone company ever. Koodo will add additional charges for each of your phone bills as if the additional 10/15% is like a tip. Customer Service is pathetic. Tried calling them to dispute a bill payment and they re-routed the call 6 times and no one was able to justify additional fees. When asked for an email to raise a formal complaint, none was provided. It is a company of scammers that are not open to feedback. Unable to add a review on Google or Koodo website.

Will prefer using any other service rather than wasting money on Koodo!
I lost 2 emergency flooding jobs because this Mickey mouse company cut off my service 6 days before the bill was due. I requested a call back and I was supposed to be contacted in 24 hours. 5 days later and still no call I had to call them. Disgusting. I went to a different provider for half the money and twice the service. People wake up please this company should not be in existence.
Travelled to US feb 2023 returned home and got slammed with 200 dollars in roaming texting and calling minutes for 5 days in US was told I paid for international calling and texting was free kept phone on airplane mode? This company is robbing people. Stay Away
I had a past due payment of $24 on a services i never used. Koodo deactivated my account so there was no opportunity to pay the amount even though they advised me via email to pay hte amount. It went to Collection agency who i was grateful they called me so that i can settled fully which i did plus admin fee. This was in early May 2022. I still get notices from Credit Karma as Koodo continue to report to them that I have not paid a zero balance for the last 2 months. So frustrating i wish i never heard of Koodo.

ZERO customer support! No way to contact customer service directly! 7 Months Ago, my Prepaid Koodo phone plan WORKED! For 7 Months I have been NICE and trying to get someone to FIX IT! Calls Do not Go Through, 5 Minutes or MORE before Phone starts to ring! Call Drop after 10 Minutes. Calls that Did not go through suddenly ringing HOURS if not a DAY later! My number does not come up! NO ONE has fixed this! Teir 2 from Koodo texted me and said it was Fixed and 3 test calls IT IS NOT FIXED! Same issue! No FIX! I am NOT the ONLY one having this Problem! It is 2024, this should NOT HAPPEN AT ALL
Have been out of country and unable to cancel my account! I have been paying THREE months now without any means of cancelling other than calling or through facebook assistant. I cannot call because i am out of country, I even had a friend try to call with my information and it has not worked! I have spoken to representatives of Koodo on their facebook group multiple times with the same steps (facebook verification, clearing browsing history, etc.) and every time it does not work. One person even said I am "the only person entitled to cancel my account" when NOT EVEN I can cancel it. Horrible customer service, and phone provider. Wish i could put zero stars
As a long-term customer, I can tell you with 100% accuracy that Koodo does not deserve my or any other business and Koodo is an absolute failure when it comes to customer service. Value your money and your time and do not make the mistake I made for few years.
My old phone I'd send texts and my friends would get texts I didn't even send. I just updated my plan! To 20gb of data when before I only had 10! And it is now so slow and doesn't work half the time. They have a stupid robot you got to chat with that solves nothing.
Panic and a feeling of impending doom takes over you when you try to reach customer service. You will feel you are on a deserted telecom island void of any human contact. If torture is your thing sign up with Koodoo.
Koodo will ruin your credit. Don't even touch them with a 10 foot pole. They report you before the due date. I went back to Fido as soon as I found out Koodo reported me 6 times in the two years I was with them. Only company I've ever had late payments to on my credit report. That should tell you more about Koodo than it does about me. And they've called me multiple times to try and win me back! Ha!
I never received any bills via email. And that caused my credit score hit by 100 points.
When i called koodo and asked that why i did not get any billing emails, they have no answer.

How what a severe downgrade in service from people to machines. Will be going to another provider that is less automated and has live customer service. Phones can help people but by putting machines instead of people is a real message to their clients. They are more interested in satisfying their shareholders rather than their clients. This will only deter people like me who do jot like dealing with machines. Bye bye Telus and your awful customer service. Maybe your machines can generate revenue because i will not be paying for machine service.
Avoid Koodo at all costs. The company as a whole is a scam and their contracts are filled with hidden fees and charges that you will have to pay for. Written in the smallest text because they know you're likely going to miss it. They put these deals on display, knowing you're going to sign off on everything from the excitement. This is so wrong.
I got a 480$ phone and was making monthly payments. Phone was purchased from the Pen Centre location. Paid the rest of the phone off (360$) before I cancelled. Phone is cancelled and they are now charging me 487$. What a scam. No one told me this when i bought the phone or cancelled it. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to never go through Koodo.
They have not been giving me my work discount. And then on top of that they are overcharging me every month and then charge me late fees on that amount. I tried to reach someone and do a call back and no one ever calls me back. I can't reach anyone on the phone. This is the worst company ever. Do not get a cell phone from them
All they care about is getting your money. Contacting customer service is near impossible and when you do finally get a call back (you have to schedule a call back they don't take direct calls) They outsource their customer service to the Philippines to untrained personnel that barely speak either of Canada's official languages. So you may as well just forget getting anything resolved. Their service is curb and gutter. Once you get to the curb you gutter and you are stuck in a contract.
A few years ago when I was with Koodo my phone broke and I bought a new one. I was told that my new bill would be a week later than my old new. During that time Koodo charged me as if I had no rate plan. You can imagine how expensive my bill was. I know that they did this deliberately. Now I'm trying to get them to release my port lock so I can switch to another carrier. I was put on hold for 70 minutes and when I got someone they put me on hold for at least a half hour and then we got disconnected. The person never called me back... One star is being generous.
Don't trust this company they will loot money. Especially in a long-distance calls they don't have any good facility to track long distance minutes.we need to write down the minutes after long distance calls. Customer doesn't get any notification even we can't see any time limit koodo web. Most of other providers giving long distance tracking facility for their their customers, but not koodo everybody careful about this. No good customer service. RIP off 100mbs for $10! I added data but because of text lag on their part ordered twice... charged $12 for 300mb... twice... price gouging company seriously use their customers in small dishonest ways to add big money to your bill... in the end the third manager promised me a new plan for my wife and I... 20gigs of data for $70... today I am cut off and my plan is unchanged (manager didnt complete it properly) and my wife is being charged $85... this isnt the first time they've made "errors" like this... they stall you, overcharge you and make it very difficult for you to reach an actual human rep... they should be charged for upping there fees in this crisis... they actually increased fees for extra data since it started... one of the worst Canadian companies I have ever dealt with... honestly feel they have no regard whatsoever for the humanity in their business... they are all about the money and it consistently shows and comes back on their customers... read the reviews...
