Terrible service
Delay on delivering my books without an ETA. This is unacceptable as I need the books to complete my school assignments. When I contacted customer service all they did was cancel the order for the delayed books and disconnected the chat without telling me anything else.
Don't use them, not worth saving the $3 vs competitors.
I rented a book and paid for 2 business day shipping ($16.99) on Wednesday. Their customer service is closed on the weekends so I called today (Monday) to question where my shipment was, since I had not received an email that it had shipped. I was informed they cancelled my order and will give me a refund but they never sent me an email notifying me of this. I clearly ordered this textbook and paid a ridiculous amount in shipping to get the textbook for a certain day. I will never order from KnetBooks again due to the lack of customer service care.
The book came through in 10 days from when ordered. It's an older paperback textbook, so the corners are worn, but not unreasonable for a used paperback. The pages are not marked on at all and in great shape. I'm definitely planning of giving plenty of leeway for return shipment time.
I couldn't find this book almost anywhere. I am glad that this site has books that other sites don't.
Cancelled my order because they said their system said my payment information was suspicious. It's the payment I use all the time so there was nothing suspicious. They cancelled it right away but still took my money so now they are holding up $150 of my money that I need to actually purchase a book. This company seems shady. No live chat, no phone number to call. You just have to sit and wait for them to return an email while they hold onto your money. I will never order from here again. I better get my money back.
I rented the book in loose-leaf form because it would be less bulky and heavy while I was carrying other materials for class. It showed up and is literally being held together by two rubber bands. I am scared even to touch the book.
It's been a great experience so far renting for the first time with Knetbooks. I am hoping this continues well and I can rent more college books for my (3) kids taking college classes. It's crazy expensive buying the books when we just need to rent them.
KNetbooks website was very user friendly. I ordered my book & received it in last than a week. The book was used but came excellent condition. KNetbooks kept me abreast on the shipment. I would highly recommend this company.
I ordered a book eight days ago for college. I found this site was the cheapest among others even if you did pay for over night or two day shipping. So I payed two day shipping thinking that I got away with a dream deal. EIGHT days later i still do not have my book. I called the company this morning and they would only refund half of my two day shipping fee. They forget to mention in their website that they are a third party who gets their books from who knows where, and they are only liable to withhold the faster shipping once they receive the book from the third party. Meaning it could take them 5-8 business days before they even receive the book themselves. Needless to say, go with amazon or chegg. I will never use this website again.
I dropped the textbook off on the due date and they charged me $86 for the textbook although I returned it before the deadline! I called customer service and they said that there is nothing they can do and I may not be able to get my money back! Very dissatisfied!
After flipping through the pages, everything in the book seems present and in good quality. My only other comment would be that the cover/title pages are oddly folded because for some reason they are bigger than the normal page. Not really a negative comment as it does not really bother me but just left me a little confused. Other than that, I am happy with my order!
Worst company I've ever dealt with. After returning the wrong book, they charged me the full price 5 days later then gave me 3 day's to claim my book. I was unaware of the short term claim policy so they now own my book and I cannot get me material back along with a 290$ charge for the old book. Horrible customer service, took 3 calls to find this out and 3 weeks. Never use this company!
Knetbooks is very good for finding textbooks at cheaper prices, especially with the free shipping even with the return. Just be sure to take a picture of your book's condition when it arrives; I assumed the wear and tear for the first workbook I rented was to be expected, but upon returning it I got charged full price for its condition. Just have evidence of how the book arrived, take care of it, and easy to send back.
Easy online instructions and quick delivery. User friendly web site.
The website is very easy to navigate and find whatever book you're looking for. I like the different service options as it allows users with different needs to choose between short and larger rentals.
My rental arrived quickly, earlier than I had anticipated. I read reviews that delivery would take a long time but it didn't. Also, I had an issue and customer service for back the me quickly and addressed the issue. I recommend renting from this place, it's more affordable that other websites.
Customer service does not help at all and there is no other way to communicate except through email. Books do not come when they are promised and there is no communication at all in regards to the status of your order. I won't recommend this place for buying textbooks to anyone.
I rented a book for $42 dollars after it was late with no reminders from them, they charged me $172. They offer to give you 50% back of the $172 if you returned it. I looked on other websites to buy it prices range from $85 to $100. I could have bought two books with this websites rental and late fee charge and the number they have online is disconnected.
They deserve zero stars. I payed for a book and never received it. They wouldn't do anything about it at all. Said that it was USPS's fault. They have the worst shipping; UPS then to USPS? Online scam. I highly recommend Chegg for rental books. I doubt that anyone stole my book after delivery; I live in a quiet suburb area. They probably have someone that tracks the packages in each city then steals them. What kind of people steal from college students? They won't last long. The low cost isn't worth it stay away. These cases are rare and they should have just paid for it!
Quick, easy, and cheap! I was nervous to be scammed but I got my book! Would like a more effective tracking system in the future, my tracking number never worked properly. Thank you for following through!
Answer: Infinity, because you will never receive it. And if you do receive it, it comes damaged and then when you try to return your rental that try saying the original damage is your fault and charge you a ridiculous price for a small damage that had already come with it. Or sometimes several pages are missing.
Answer: Hi Tatum, We do allow some highlighting in our rentals but we ask that you dont highlight excessively. If you return the rental back to us with over one-third of the text highlighted, we may have to mark the book as damaged. Highlighting can be distracting for future renters and we may not be able to add an overly-highlighted book back into our inventory. Consider using page flags to mark an important sentence. Flags can help you easily get back to the page you need. Page flags are also small enough that they can be used multiple times on the same page. Plus, they are really easy to remove from the textbook before you send it back at the end of the semester. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
Thank you for choosing Knetbooks!
