I rented textbooks for graduate school as I had for undergraduate for many years. I've always returned my books in a timely fashion. Knetbooks gives you a tracking slip to print and send back with your rental returns. Last semester when I returned my books Knetbooks charged me an extra $300+ for a book I rented for $100. I checked the tracking and it only read "label created," apparently the carrier lost the package or it was never shipped from the facility. I tried to ask Knetbooks customer service for help and they are completely automatic, no person to talk to and not helpful. They said I was in the wrong and refused to issue a refund. I am out $400+ dollars for a book that I don't even have. NEVER AGAIN!
I have never used your website before but it was an easy process. Unfortunately, I learned today that the professor is not using both books and I was upset that I've already paid for it and can't get a full refund.
I am happy to have found this site for text book rentals. The double volume books I ordered arrived in time. One book is in very good condition. The other is not so great, but useable. There are lots of making and notes in the book by the previous owner.
Pleasantly surprised as I checked out this book service for the first time. Great selection, fast delivery, the book was in excellent shape. It's nice to be comfortable with the rental book process as is done with many textbooks these days. Great to have it available for fun reading too!
I ordered books that were listed as in stock on the website. Even after contacting support they said that they were expecting to ship out in about a week. They just never shipped and I had to cancel the orders after a month.
This is my third book I am renting for my upcoming semester from Knetbooks. You can't beat the semester rental prices and it gives me plenty of time once my semester has ended to return the books. They came in great condition and on time. Thanks Knetbooks!
Thank you Louis! I'd love to thank you personally. Please email me your order number so I can do so!

If you're looking for a textbook, look no further than Knetbooks. Rentable textbooks are available for all areas. It's a wonderful thing for those who can't afford it. With low price and huge options.
Thank you!
Knetbooks made getting my textbook so easy. I did not have to spend a great deal of money and I do not have to worry about trying to sell my book back to someone. Other places in the past said they would buy my book back and then would not do it. Renting like this is awesome. They sent me a brand new book in excellent condition. I can't wait to use them again in the future.
Thank you! -Knetbooks
I returned my book a week before the due date and was charged over $150 for a book which is not even in my possession anymore. They told me my order was due on 6/5 and when I called they said I was able to get a 75% refund for an issue that did not occur if I provided correct documentation from UPS. I called UPS for them to say the package was shipped on time and delivered. Absolutely disgusting do not order from here!
And I am expecting it. What is the status of my delivery?
This company is part of a network of online scams! This company operates under 5 different names and rents books it does not have - meaning that you are unlikely to receive your books when you need them.
I could not find these books available on any other sites for rent, so I was excited to find them here…and at that price too! Just incredible! The two books have a slider cover that holds them together, and that was a little worn, but the actual books are in perfect condition! I was so pleased finding them, I expedited my order and will be ordering from here again!
I never got my book it updates as to when it would be available
They book came in good time and had good quality which was very nice.
Thank you for shopping at Knetbooks!
It showed up within the week in good condition.it was a good purchase
How does a site have the audacity to not have books in their warehouse but yet still put them on site for sale? I needed a textbook for rental and it was taking very long but I eventually got an email stating that: "Due to a change in availability from our supplier, the following items have yet to arrive in our warehouse [my textbook]."
Plus I literally have readings to do that I have missed.
I rented two books and returned them prior to the due date. I had my UPS tracking number and receipt to follow my shipment. It was received at the Knetbooks warehouse and located there. I received a text from Knetbooks charging me $200.00 for the books that I had returned and they received. I spoke with multiple customer service representatives and I was informed that there were different books in my return other than what I rented. This was a complete lie. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was informed that no managers are there or are available. I also requested the contact information of the owner and it would not be released. So they got my money for my rentals, plus the books, plus an extra $200! Please take my advice and do not give them any business!
Stay Far Away. I rented two books. The books I received were brand new but still very expensive to rent. I wrote and highlighted them minimally <1% and returned them on time in excellent condition. Over TWO months after returning them I received a message that they were damaged and I would be charged for them in full and, if I chose, I could have them returned to me for shipping and handling fee. I emailed, called, and complained. Acquiesced and had them returned and they were COVERED in blue ballpoint ink. This happened in THEIR care and they chose to charge me for their error and they refuse to acknowledge it. (I don't even own blue ballpoint pens.) Document your books, take pictures when you ship, cover your butt if you choose to use this service.
I dropped the course before delivery of my textbook but was not able to cancel the order. So I went to the help center to see how I could get refunded the money I spent on the book. I am being charged $13 to restock the book which is inconvenient for me because I don't have much money as a single parent and student. But I understand.
I ordered a book a NEED for every one of my classes on a Wed morning. The book was supposed to be shipped out within 48 hours. That would be a Friday. The following Monday evening I got an email saying that they hadn't even received the book to ship out to me. When I called them, they were not able to give me any date as to when they would receive the book, and took zero accountability for the problem. They did absolutely nothing to compensate for their poor business. Bad business. No accountability. Do you really want to leave your success in these people's hands? I don't think so.

Answer: Infinity, because you will never receive it. And if you do receive it, it comes damaged and then when you try to return your rental that try saying the original damage is your fault and charge you a ridiculous price for a small damage that had already come with it. Or sometimes several pages are missing.
Answer: Hi Tatum, We do allow some highlighting in our rentals but we ask that you dont highlight excessively. If you return the rental back to us with over one-third of the text highlighted, we may have to mark the book as damaged. Highlighting can be distracting for future renters and we may not be able to add an overly-highlighted book back into our inventory. Consider using page flags to mark an important sentence. Flags can help you easily get back to the page you need. Page flags are also small enough that they can be used multiple times on the same page. Plus, they are really easy to remove from the textbook before you send it back at the end of the semester. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
