My daughter used my credit card to purchase two phones in April of 2023 and used Klarna as a payment option. She returned the phones to Walmart and was assured by their customer service that Klarna had been notified. Klarna continued to process charges after the return of the phones. Both my daughter and myself have contacted Klarna a total of 5 times and provided all necessary paperwork and information that they requested each time and have been assured 4 times that the concern had been taken care of and that the charges would be returned to my card but to no avail. After finally realizing that the concern was not being taken care of by Klarna my daughter removed all of my information from Klarnas website. Even after removing my credit card number from the website Klarna continued to charge my credit card. I called customer service again on July 16,2023 and provided the information that they requested and was again told that the concern would be corrected and the payments would be returned. Charges were again made by Klarna on July 17 and again on July 19. When these charges were placed on my credit card I called the 5th time and began explaining the concern when the representative hung up on me. The total amount taken from my account is $499.97 so far. My daughter checked her account and it indicated that there would be no further charges to my card but due to earlier responses I am hesitant to believe that. I have finally given up on a resolution from Klarna Corporate and am seeking a resolution through the Better Business Bureau.
Wish I could give 0 stars. I cancelled my debit card and needed to make a payment using my bank account. I thought I would just have to give a routing and checking account number instead of using a debit card, However, the process is to connect your bank by GIVING YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD TO YOUR BANK, YOUR ACTUAL BANK LOGIN INFORMATION. That is insane. Stupidly, I did it because I needed to make a payment. But then my payment wouldn't go through because when they pulled my checking account number, they pulled in extra internal numbers my bank uses for internal transfers, which then cause the Klarna payment to fail. WHO ASKS FOR YOUR BANK LOG IN INFORMATION to make a payment. That should be illegal.
Answer: They were offering a 30% discount to new customers- which was bogus.
Answer: I will call it a scam. I was pressured by customer service to complete a purchase but the promised discount was not there. I was told it "probably" would show up after awhile - never an assurance. I was made to feel I was unreasonable because I wanted to guarantee what I was spending
